I have hunted whitetails for years with a Model 700 Remington 7mm Mag shooting CoreLokt ammo. It has NEVER let me down. Rolled a pickup one time with it right beside me. Dreaded shooting it back in. Three shots that a quarter would easily cover. I LOVE that rifle.
Iv drill lot of deer with it in a win model 70 in 7mm mag use love Remington 175gr . Got winchesters from dad when everything went crazy . But 7mm mag down do to cheap winchesters barrels or Remington brass. Got peac brass copper stuck up throat stop rd from ejecting in barrel told can't be fix
I’ve seen in person what this round can do when used for hunting. My brother Keith has gotten great accuracy and good results on deer with the 7mm mag. Thanks for more good information from WHO TEE WHO, my favorite bing bang slinger. 👍🎥🥇💯🦌
@@jamespugh headed over to sub now. Hopefully it does well for you buddy. Look at Stuck In The Rut it got a app for free after you join you can post pictures and videos. It’s growing fast. Be a good place to get more attention to your you tube channel. Good filming and many subs to ya James. 👍🎥🥇🥇🥇💯
If my memory is correct, The Remington 700 has a 1 in 9&1/8 twist barrel and The Sako S20 has a 1 in 9&.5 twist barrel which is the difference in handling the longer bullets better Sir. But you have two real shooting Bing Bangs there for Sure!!!👍👍👍👍👍
This ammunition has been good to me in all the calibers I own...i think it has generally a high performance/reasonable price ratio... i have used it to humanely euthanize injured wood bison as a veterinarian using 30 06 ...270...7mm ...and 338...thank you for a great video,,,
1 of my buddies has a left handed 7mm mag Remington, at 100yards we could put it in a deer eye ! He is naturally left handed , at the time I could shoot as well right or left handed . But I believe we ate more deer , that fell from my 220swift, 70 gr bthp
I had 7mm rem mag in a Parker Hale model 1200m 30 years ago. I never did hunt with it all I ever did was sight it in, then a buddy made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Shot my buddies 7mm rem mag vs my Savage 270 win . His was 170 grain vs my 130 grain. Was back in late 1980's. I loved my 270, but his 7mm was just better. Thanks Adam, missed live. Still love both .270win and the 7mm rem.
I own a S&W 1500 in 7mmRemMag, I usually shot Hornady or Federals through it in the 160gr to 165gr range. I will have to pick up a few boxes of these 175's and see how they group from my rifle. I like the heavier grain bullets for moose hunting. Another awesome video, thanks for sharing it. 👍👍👍
That's a 5x5 bull in my profile pic. Dropped him like a sack of potatoes at 375 yards. 160 gr Sierra BT hand load. Savage 110 7mm rem mag. that I've had for 40 years. The trigger I put in it cost more than the rifle back in the day. That rifle has taken many a critter over the years.
I bought a remington 770 2 years ago when I started hunting and everyone made fun of me for getting it however its so accurate and reliable people can kiss my ars this past season I got a doe at 300 yards and she only ran 20 yards then did a flip and a kick that was it I live my remington 770
Who_Tee_Who the 7RM is one flat shooting cartridge ,no doubt about that. I’ve owned my Weatherby Vanguard (series 1) since 1995. Back in 1962 when Remington brought it out the original loading was with a Nosler 160 Gr partition along with the model 700 with a 26 inch barrel. The velocity was 3150 FPS, with 1800 FPE max range was 500 yards . Buy designed it was for Bull Elk.
It seems like I am seeing more and more Remington ammo available and that's a good thing. It is a good product at a reasonable price. There is nothing walking around North American that a 175 grain in a 7 mm mag won't take care of so if you are hunting in Montana / Idaho where you might stumble across a bad attitude Grizzly, it gives you a little piece of mind.
@UCzF9QzmPuJow6lbjZJsbRIQ That is certainly true that all those bullets would perform better than a core-loc on a Grizzly, and I myself reload and use 160 grain Nosler partitions in my 7mm. I also live in Idaho and have to think about is it safe for me to carry the rifle and ammo I have, just in case I have to use it to defend myself. While there is a long list of guns and ammo that would be better.... I would feel fine with a 7mm with a 175-grain core-loc.
My 770 in 300 Winchester magnum shoots the 150gr Nosler Accubonds great it wouldn’t bother me to take a 500+ yard shot with a rock solid rest that is. Great video brother be safe and GOD BLESS y’all Amen 🙏. See y’all soon LORD WILLING AMEN 🙏
Imho, I think you need to fire that first shot as a "fouling shot" off-target as to not count it. Then do the 3 shot group. Just a suggestion, still great shooting!
Great video WHO_TEE_WHO. I got box of this from 2014 or so still full box. Use run it in my 7mm mag all the time was a winchesters model 70. Hammers lot of does and got nice buck with it. Only issue know that rifle went down from a Remington rd . The rifle in the shop needing new barrel do to brass or copper being stuck up in the rifling not letting go eject .
I just sighted in my 7 mm meat eater weatherby rifle at 50 yards with my sons and this weekend we’re going to sight it in at a 100 yards. Going to be shooting 7mm federal Barnes tsx 160 grain bullets. Should be fun
You should get a better scope and a new trigger for the Remington rifle, it has served you well for many years and you already have the custom furniture in it. Thanks for the great content 👍
I and my brothers only use Remington core lokt, because we know it's gonna work on deer. My Remington 700 270 win likes the 150 grain Remington core lokt.
If this isn't already in the comments, your first shot was out of the Sako was wide b/c of a powder change. I doubt you pulled it; it was a fouling shot. Different powders in a barrel make for different POI. Thanks for taking the time to put these together.
🇺🇸 💜🙏🏼💜 ☕️☕️ You Sir, can shoot and call that group as you see it. I agree with you. You could have stopped the camera, and reshot that group until you got a .5 MOA … But, you didn’t… That’s why I appreciate you and your channel. Regular guy, doin’ guy stuff! Thank you WTW… Awesome channel.
300 yds is max point blank range for most 7mm rem mag hunting loads so not what I'd call stretching it out. Mine was still grouping pretty well at 1000yds with federal 150gr soft points. Just a good as the guys who worked up loads with match bullets in 6.5creedmoor.
I like my 264 win mag for deer I load 120gr nosler ballistic tip 3100 fps super flat and drops em I also love my 7mm I load nosler 175gr partition can't remember the fps I believe it's 2800 or 2900 in that range and it's a elk deer dropper as well
I use to shoot Remington core locks in 175 grain in my 7mm magnum . I quit because I had about half of what I shot the bullets world hit and explode in the animals and then it made my tracking job very hard.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and enjoy every one. One comment, not pertaining to this video. When making sight adjustments trust the direction of the scope dial. Don't look through the scope while adjusting. The cross hairs will move in the opposite direction which is what confuses you. However, you can look through the scope to make a 1 or 2 shot adjustment. Simply, keep the rifle absolutely still, then look through the scope placing the cross hairs on bullseye then move the cross hairs to where your last shot hit. Now you will be very close to bullseye if not dead center. This will save a lot of ammo.
I haven't found a better, AFFORDABLE round than Remington Core-Lokts. I was going to buy a 7mm mag back in 1986, but my Dad had me compare ammo cost of 7mm vs. .270 Remington. I've put a bunch of venison in the freezer over the years with my .270 Remington.
WHO-TEE you're getting good! So, it's time to make you mad! Swap out your barrells to help that first cold barrel shot, Be sure you get the rifles settling as perfectly on target before you settle in for the shot, and trigger stroke them all the same in the pattern, The 770 gave you a two bullet results I often like. The 150 gr dead band on at 150, and the 175 gr cast dead bang on 300, I set my guns for a 275 yard bulls eye, then find a second round that laumches in to 450-600. The rifle is tuned the same, the bullet just to different diad on points,Gives you confidence that nothing can be out of range.
I haven't been able to find those 175 gr. Is been so long that I seen them at the shelves. I only have about 60 to 70 of those bullets. I hope I find them in the distance future.

Good deer ammo, put em down with a good blood trail, prefer premium bullets like nosler or swift scirrocco for the big stuff like elk though .
My Remington 700 , 7 mag is my favorite. Not just because it was my grandpa’s. The most accurate center fire I own.
I love them Remington Core Lock... I have used them for years...Great Ammo. Great Shooting. Thanks

OK before I watch this episode. " I shot a 7mm browning semi auto mostly for hunting but I like its range"

100 yards with a 7mm . Is like point blank accuracy. Stretch that bad boy out and do it again👍

Barrel twist rate affects bullet accuracy of different weights. A faster twist will tighten the heavier bullets.
I'm a heavy for caliber guy too. If a duce and a half will work, a Peterbuilt will work better
Good stuff, Adam: good tips, very useful info, entertaining.
Thanks for watching George
I have a good friend who hunts with a 7mm mag and one day he came to work with a nasty black eye from the scope of his rifle.
I seldom shoot factory ammo, but when I did, Core Lokt always grouped better than Win Power Points in my 7 Mag.

Brother has one your years, dad has one both with 150 gr core lokts knock the crap out of Wisconsin deer.
Hey brother I missed the live chat video but I’ll watch it now
Remember, at long range, a heavier bullet sheds velocity much less than lighter bullets. Less wind drift as well. A lot less.
Looks like a cold clean bore flyer on the first shot with the Sako. Most rifle bores shoot better with just a bit of fouling in the rifling. Or you simply missed, lol. Clean the carbon out of the bore but leave the copper fouling and see what happens to your groups….
Best ammo ever made. 175 grain is bad ass. Hits harder on big deer.
