It should be noted the number of times DeLigt swept up behind our midfield and killed the attack before they got a shot off.... especially in the first half numerous times he was the one who stepped up and snubbed it out...
the XG doesn't show how much extra work and recoveries he had to do to keep it down
Our new signings always look good compared to the rest of the team though, and eventually over time they get dragged down to the level of mediocrity that the squad plays at and we start calling them shit too
Liverpool didn’t slow down. If they’d scored another goal they would have been top of the league.
@@-bobrelph What???
@@no9scrum the tv presenter (not sure who )said that if Liverpool scored another goal they would be top of the league in goal difference as they are both currently on 7. So if Liverpool score again they’d be on 8.
Do u get mazraoui in for casemiro
Mainoo looks knackered. We're putting too much expectation on him. He needs a senior ball playing CM to learn from and lighten the load.
I really felt bad for him, could see how hard he was trying but what can he do alone in the midfield
He needs a destroyer next to him
@@lukey19920 he looked disillusioned by the end. He was giving his everything
Ten hag and fans rely too much on Mainoo. He needs rotation.
He needs 2 tbh ,one next to him and one on the bench so he can come off when tired
Most touches in the opposition box: Salah for Liverpool and Amad for United. Amad came on the 70th minute
Criminal that he didn’t start. Ten hag couldn’t wait to drop him, he doesn’t like technical players that can create. He wants brainless road runners.
@@thebizness5596Tell me you've never watched any of Ten Hag's previous teams without telling me you've never watched any of Ten Hag's previous teams.
He doesn't want technical players? 😆 F*cking hell
Til nex week ??
This is on ETH. Benching Amad just to continue to accommodate Rashford is criminal.
@@thebizness5596 Amad didnt start because he lacked physicality
Crazy thing is 80% of pressure on Ugarte won’t be from fans it’ll be the media
I dont think so. If you look at how much the feedback on Ugarte is to solve our midfield problem, this will drive media. Just like De Ligt. suppose to revolutionize our defense. Of the new guys, Mazroui is the one who impressed because he had the least spotlight.
Ugarte isnt even that solid defensively. We had Amrabat who we invested 10 million loan and time as he finaly started to adapt to PL style of play at end of season yet we let him go when we needed solid defensive midfielders to use against tough oppostion and rotate in much more deep depth squad that compete in PL, Europa League, FA cup and Carabao. Ugarte is overrated and that is why PSG wanted to get rid of him. If Amrabat had a European or South American name he would be worth more than 50 million. I blame Ten Hag for being weak and i am sure thar with bruno, Rashford, Maguire, Ugarte and dalot we will be still shit even with different manager.
Like any huge club making a signing? 😂 Get a grip, teams went backwards after ANOTHER 200ml Could flop, could be gash - there's far more worry than a settling player 😴?
Ready made go to excuses- the run for majors? United are light years from that 😂 the delusions are a good read, enjoy the following years- what goes around.......
the media are just fans with more microphones
Onana should be looked at. Absolute hologram.
@WR3DD I've defended Onana but if he keeps letting easy saves by him, my patience will run out.
@@adventurefilmclub2549I’ve been saying it for a while ! He needs to be playing under 12
Honestly I've been saying this since last season. Onana is not a good goalkeeper but many fans will not agree. He's the reason we concede so many cheap goals.
I completely agree
Can we start having a conversation about our goalkeeper!?
He doesn’t save anything. He was supposed to be this “modern day keeper” we were missing. Who most importantly to some fans, would help us play from the back, would be a sweeper keeper, would make us play higher up the pitch, would cut out and claim crosses. According to some, all of this was far more important than the basics of simply being able to save a shot.
When will fans realise you can’t simply take a player from 1 team and drop him into United and expect him to be the same. You can take Haaland out of City and believe me he won’t be the same player.
The volume and carelessness of media coverage leads to the fan outrage. Every week whether it’s Sky or TNT, there’s a full 60 mins dissection of our players and manager. Sky hardly spoke about Liverpool after the game yesterday.
Some of the coverage is nothing short of disgusting. However the fact they're not talking about how good liverpool are shows that it was an even game, but the mistakes cost us.
I think this is so true man.
We can blame the media all we want and I agree they do focus on us a lot, but guys cmon, the whole world is watching and everyone can see how bad it is. Fans are outraged because of what we are seeing on the pitch, it’s not about what’s going on behind the scenes nor is it about what the media portrays, it’s about what ten hag, his coaches and the players are displaying on the pitch. It’s absolutely infuriating. It’s more infuriating than any pundits views
Finishing 8th leads to fan outrage you mong.
@@chromeboy92 I know what you're saying man but in the instance of the Liverpool game, the stats were actually really close. Same amount of chances on goal and man u had more possession believe it or not. But the pundits make it seem like it's the end of the world and then this fuels the fans outrage. Yeah our boys lost but only because of a lack of clinical finishing and because of the mistakes due to the Liverpool press. Could easily have gone the other way round on a different day but that press on casemiro both times got Liverpool 2 goals. That's football, a game of mistakes.

Pointless stat. There are no Zlatan , Pogba, Cavani, Ronaldo , Rooney etc etc anymore
Idk how to feel, but i have a few points:
1. Mainoo and Casemiro dont work as a double pivot. Casemiro has shown time and time again that his role is not a deep lying playmaker. I dont understand why Ten Hag insist on letting him be the one to make plays from deep. But i also understand that we dont have a Toni Kroos esc player for United. Mainoo is comfortable on the ball, but he is not a progressive passer and he needs a player beside him who can alleviate some of the pressure from deep.
2. Garnacho is better of the bench. Dont understand why Ten Hag choose to bench Amad for this game. Yeah, Garnacho has pace, but his decision making was horrible yesterday
3. We were unlucky sometimes. The first 20 minutes of the game was good, and we did put the pressure on them. The issues was some of the individual players was not up for it yesterady. Casemiro, Lisandro, Garnacho etc. was not good enough, and all of the blame cant go to Ten Hag
This is just my opinion😅
Yeah but remember the fans and media were killing Erik for not starting Garnacho and then they found out why
Didn’t they have a goal disallowed cause salah didn’t trim his toe nails in that opening 20?
1 : Casemiro WAS a great player, but time happens to everything. He is now finished
2 : In any serious team, Rashford can't be a starter
3 : Onana is one of ( if not) the worst goalkeeper that has ever put on a United shirt.
4: ETH might not be the guy needed for this job. What exactly is his pattern?
got them all correct!
Hi Ste I think you should make a video on Andre Onana. Why we bought him and what he has delivered ... I haven't seen any game without him misplacing or with couple of bad passes leading to shot... his shot stopping and positioning is so poor that you need to have shot on target and its goal... its Liverpool not being clinical but Onana can't make saves... otherwise Liverpool would have scored in same accuracy with 50% oppositions. His ball playing ability is leading to something is pure fantasy
Onana think he’s a defender
Good shout, Onana is dreadful I’ve seen nothing from him to make me think he’s the guy.
He’s not going to make a video. He loves the man and thinks he’s one of the best in the league
The only thing I learnt is that ten hag is a deaf and stubborn coach that is clueless and is not willing to see his errors and learn from it. He has to be sacked. Stupidity they say is repeating same thing and expecting different results. You can’t keep playing Onana who can’t save shot or Casemiro who is experienced but too old and weak and Rashford who is still young but mentally done with football
rashford is 27/28 years old hardly young now he should be at his peak years but he is not had a good season in terms of goals gets a new contract on the back of that season and now he is back to normal in terms of getting goals rashford is just not doing it might be a good idea to move him on if he dont improve
Before he came the Ajax fans said that he is very stubborn but a good coach
Then there’s this argument that who can we bring that’s better than him. That’s the simplest question I’ve ever answered, ANYONE is better than this man. Anyone except two PROVEN failures, Southgate and Lampard, otherwise, ANYONE else on this earth can get better performances with the same crop of players. Our manager is not suited for this league.
@@chromeboy92 I'd suggest you stop arguing. You destroyed your own point. Anyone else is but not those two? Then who mate?
@@thrilla72flick was available before we offered ten hag a contract
Collyer did ok, don’t put pressure on Ugarte
When collyer came on..he didn't sit in front of the defence...but kept pushing up...and leaving exactly the same space that casemiero left..😮
@@leethrelfalllt no he didn’t he also didn’t give the ball away
@@bazza6973 oh yes he did (what a fkin pantomime)..😩
What game did you watch?? He looked like a rabbit in headlights
Yeah, because Kobbie moved back. Smart move by the manager to have the relatively more experienced midfielder take up the deeper spot.
Definition of insanity, ETH keeps trying same thing which clearly not working. Poor in game management failing to see what opposition doing and tweaking, same issues consistently
Also who misses David De Gea. Onana should be saving those. Shocking for the salah goal and the second Diaz goal. Just poor
Even Diaz' first. Onana always gets sucked towards the near post
He's struggling to get into the Fiorentina team...
Who the f**k is gonna stop a Salah goal. Wake up
5 things we learnt
1. Bayndir needs to start, Onana can't keep the goal for shit
2. Casemiro made mistakes and United paid
3. ETH needs to change his tactics to the strength of his players.
4. Team mental strength is the weakest
5. If we loose games till end of September, ETH will likely be out
Yeah a keeper who don’t know how to use his hand.
You’ve contradicted yourself. The mental strength of the team being weak, will mess up any set up, call it what you want, formation, tactics, shape. None of our forwards, and none of our midfield are good enough.
`1. Won't happen until EtH is fired - the two of them are interlinked. Arguably, the best GK hope for the future has just been loaned out for the season. God only knows why Heaton is still on staff as a player and not as a coach.
2. Casemiro made mistakes. But so much stems from this. The backline is new together , although showing promise. Why does EtH revert to huge transition areas in the middle? Any no 6 is going to suffer under this crazed system - which does not excuse Casemiro's errors. However, equally, what system is EtH playing which means a mistaken pass in midfield must lead to a goal?
3. Agreed. But all the evidence is that he is stubborn and unlikely to do so. Not even Harry Potter will save EtH from the chop.
4. Team morale depends on leadership and team building - the latter takes time which we do not have in abundance., When EtH is fired, expect to see the captaincy pass to Martinez or de Ligt.
5. Agreed, I would go as far to say that if EtH survives this last weekend, a loss to Soton will seal his fate.
And you can certainly argue that he has been let down: the accountants approach by Ineos to culling the bench until it is wafer thin is certainly going to be 'interesting'' when United transition to 2 games per week. And frankly, the inability to buy or take on loan Sterling or Toney (or similar) is going to bite them very hard. He may not have been the best but selling McT to buy Ugarte seems like an extravagance when they could have bought Amrabat for cheap as chips and retained McT -. and still have bought another striker if Sancho had been sold for cash this year.
@@ssheldon1616 by weak mentality i meant the opposition score and some of our players drop their shoulder, and some start panicking
@@Bloodnok49 true, but we are now with the squad we have and most of them are ETH buys now, if they are unable to translate his style of play in his 3rd season, threb is definitely something wrong, the goal keeper and the def apart from Dalot are ETH ajax players, the rest of the squad have been with ETH for 2 seasons, they should in reality know what he wants on the pitch, and still we play really well in certain games and in most we loose because of our errors
We never counter attacked as effectively as Liverpool did. It seemed like Liverpool were happy to have a deep defence line, and a high press and accept the big gap in the middle knowing that we're not a threat in midfield
The press between the teams was day and night.. our press do so disjointed is laughable..players just don’t understand the system and certainly don’t work hard enough to implement it
@@markgorman6915it wasn't like that when we had mount. When we had mount for Fulham and Brighton we pressed really well
Deligt and mazraui saved us from looking like a pure joke
The distance between midfield and attack “that liverpool took advantage of to force errors” is on Ten Hag, if it was a one off we could say it’s on the players, but we’ve been seeing this structure for 14 months now. INEOS didn’t want to keep him, triggering his contract extension isn’t backing him, he’s just lost 2 of the first 3 matches, the writing is on the wall whether you make excuses for him or not.
This same system of press worked with Mount in the team. We can't blindly blindly blame the manager.
@@KirFirelight oh did it work against Brighton did it? If any system falls apart because one player is missing then it isn’t much of a system, it hasn’t worked for 14 months and it’s ENTIRELY down to the manager!
@@nephilim811 Rodri for city lad. It's a called a system. Not components. don't get me wrong ETH made some errors. But have some paitance.
@@footballscholar782 city don’t have massive gaps in the midfield without Rodri, do they miss him? Yes, of course but it’s not comparable at all. Also, I and many others have been patient for 14 months lad
@@nephilim811 you edited your comment... We have been crap for a long time. Since Sir Alex left. Changes don't just happen overnight. ETH has the responsibility to fix things, now if his style of play is a high line and counterpressing. But doesn't have all the players (until urgate plays regularly), then we have to wait and see don't we? Results in the league have to be better, but there is far more context to the team and season than just get rid of the manager right? Also I was just making the case regarding city 😊. Liverpool have a better tema and squad right now, would you agree? They preyed on us playing our from the back (helped by errors).
I am sick of Rashford, making a mistake while trying , it hurts but you can forgive it when a player is actually trying with Rashford it seems different, he doesn't seem like he's trying enough. He's not even getting a shot at goal at this moment, jogs on the field, doesn't track back. I'm honestly sick of him
He doesn't try
From what I saw watching the last few games he tracks back quite a lot unlike last season. And he created 2 deadly chances the last game. Though, he seems afraid to step into the box and take a chance at goal
I think people forget rashford isn't a kid anymore and these kind of mistakes are unacceptable for one of the top paid players at the club. He still plays the same way he did at 18 and makes the same mistakes. It's completely unacceptable
I'm sick of so called supporters hating on him.
@@jiggersotoole7823 "so called supporters" just because they have a different opinion to you and are rightfully criticising him when he's been poor for 18 months. Supporting someone doesn't mean blindly praising them no matter what
We need to speak about Onana... De Gea would have had 2/3 of the goals conceded.
….and you still would have lost.
@@miamitten1123 Sure.
Ste - we've been gash for 14 months. There's more than enough evidence now to confirm ETH can't get us playing well and scoring goals. Even in the decent 1st season we still scored a really low number of goals.
We have transition players that’s why. People complain when we play on the counter and don’t dominate the play though, so can’t have it both ways.
The man is delusional and his default setting no matter what’s happening on the pitch for however long will be to blame everyone bar the manager. His straw man, unchallenged arguments hold zero weight and are just jarring. His channel is so far from what it used to be
1. We’re shite
2. We’re shite
3. We’re shite
4. We’re shite
5. We’re shite

@@Shaun_M13 Liverpool was just goud. They did their home work on Casemiro; Rashford; Bruno and Garbacho who are just not goud defending and winning the ball. The entire wings were looked down and MANU was just ineffective because of what Liverpool did in preparation.
@@Mpho..M1652sorry but liverpool has done nothing special except for pressing us in our own half. When the managers sets the game up for us to absorb the pressure and “build from the back” and then losses every single game because od the incompetence of our players to do so, it makes me laugh. Legit no need to analyse anything we do, 0 positives, 0 need for anyone to look for any positives since this ship is sinking. Just look at the things that are being said from our players and the manager after each game
What are you trying to say lad
More sense than Howson
Casemiro and Rashford 700k a week.
Both have dropped off from 2 seasons ago
Rashfords just gone back to his usual self.
@JB-vv1xc I agree, this is rashfords level. Everyone who backs him always quotes that 30 goal season he had, but that was an anomaly, he's had more bad/average seasons than good. He is a mediocre premier league winger at best and wouldn't be more than a squad player for any of the other top clubs
@@koalaorange. yeah he got like 2 seasons of excuses before the good one because “he was playing injured”
@@koalaorange.Why do people like you keep on perpetuating lies?
Over a five year period, he scored 20+ goals, 5 in the season with a double fracture to his back, yet still played every game that season.
Yes, he hasn't lit the world alight in recent times, but so many others in other teams haven't either, yet get nothing like the hate Rashford gets.
I guess this is just the usual United bashing as would be expected of a club that nobody can ignore.
@@Scratiznutz playing with a fractured back isn't something I'm gonna praise him for. Thaycould well be the reason he's never kicked on from that point because he ruined himself by playing injured. And he's been woeful for nearly 2 years now, clinging on to some good seasons from the past can only last so long. Everyone else being bad doesn't excuse him from criticism. And yes he gets it more than some other players, because he's on 350k + a week and should be seen as one of the top players at the club. I'm not gonna criticise garnacho or amad or zirkzee to the same levels because they're not the same level of player rashford should be. Criticising someone when they've been poor isn't the sake has hating on them for no reason, and it's not united bashing when we've just lost 3-0 to Liverpool... after the last match against Brighton it was because we played ok, we were utter dogs shit today and deserve every single bad thing people are saying. Also, fans need to vent and let it out too. Give it a few days and things will calm down and be more reasonable
At last, a Dutch manager at OT that understands tactical transition football!
“Liverpool didn’t carve us open” are you serious mate?!
Liverpool bot only carved MU open, like a Haloween Pumkin, but pulled the pants down in front of 70k at OT
Actually scary witnessing his type of delusion. They were a pube away from TAA making it 1-0 after 5 mins, it should have been 5 if Salah and Szob took their other clear chances. We were ole'ing them at Old Trafford. 😂
I always watch the players lining up in the tunnel before these games. You can see in their faces who is up for it and prepared to go to war. You could see it in the Liverpool players. I haven’t really see that in united players for 10 years.. (sometimes there is the odd exception) but for the most part these players don’t have it in the eyes
I call them soy eyes, no umpf
That means naff all. Man City is always up for it but always lose to Place or a lower team each season
To sit there with a straight face and say “Liverpool didn’t cut us open” is proper delusion at its finest
I used to have massive respect for this dude, but i have soon realized that he lives in his head. Can't be making excuses for Ten Hag 3rd season into his job. It's a joke really listening to him.
Where did Liverpool cut united open from a spell of possession? They didn't. All of their goals came from us giving away the ball in stupid areas. Not Liverpool playing amazing football
Did yiu watch the game!? The opportunities they had were all from pressing and turn overs
@@Combatdon so the disallowed TAA goal was from open play, and the chance Szoboslay had (that somehow he didn't manage to even shoot) was from open play either, and by the way both didn't count on XG (bc of the offside and bc szobo didn't shoot)
@@joaquinandremarquezvera6515also the salah chance that should have been 4-0
Marcus was up for it though. The number of runs he made to catch Trent & Konate on the break was what you want from him, but the passing up the field in his path were shocking. And he worked off the ball
xG Howson sounding more and more like a Ten Hag apologist. It’s not that he’s presided over 3 of 4 losses but that there’s no signs of progress after two plus seasons. Ineos have a huge decision to make soon.
I love the xg argument… if you are saying United should have had as many goals as pool cool who’s the twat we blame for no goals. Liverpool had more goals than their xg so who’s the twat we blame for them scoring.
If season 1 was good and season 2 was no good then at least give season 3 more than 3 games before you make a damning verdict. There’s so much more going on that pure linear progression is just not realistic.
Liverpool killed the game in a first half UTD Only created good chances when the game set and match
The guy is absolutely delusional and the fact that he tries to paint ten hag doubters as “ppl who aren’t using their brains” is just hilarious.
The difference wasn’t Liverpool being clinical and United not. 😂. Most of these chances happen after Liverpool were up 3-0 and dropped back an relaxed.
Hojlund will score 25 goals if the frontline ever actually pass him the ball and create chances. Rashford on his final chance this season so needs to score and create. Bruno needs to get firing and Garnacho needs to step it up to the next level. Amad looked decent when he came on tbf
We're making chances but we don't have our main striker to finish them. And I bet when he does come back we'll stop making chances again and wonder why he isn't scoring
We don;t play with wingers whose job it is to cross. Their primary focus is cutting back and shooting, but they're not doing that. Plus Hojlund's not great with his head. I'd love to see ten Hag try something different, like putting Antony on the left and letting him use that left foot to cross into the box.
We've no longer got McTominay to bring on as that "bursting through the middle" player, but we've got Zirkzee who should be able to do a bit of that.
Amad should be the first name in that attack but Ten Hag has his favourites and he couldn’t wait to drop him. No wonder Sancho kicked off with him because he’s taking the piss.
@koalaorange. Bullshit, we are aweful in the final 3rd. Stop pretending.
For his transfer fee he better be smashing in at least 25 a year. Kid wasn’t cheap, we paid for a full priced striker
Yeah but as much as you don’t rate TAA, they now have Konaté covering him for exactly the scenario of Rashford beating TAA. Which leads to the point about CBs not being big 6’4” units anymore. They are, and they’re all quick. It’s just that we moved away from it with Martinez and previous CBs.
The old 4-4-2 is coming back. I hope we try it against the big teams when Hojlund returns
It's not all Casemiros fault . ETHs tactics were all wrong.
Our forwards are a real concern as I honestly don't know where all the goals are going to come from this season 😮
The first pass for the goal was unforgivable though there wasn’t really any press on him. The fact it turned into a 5 on 2 break though is also terrible. What’s the point of backs if they aren’t back
It is his fault as you can blatantly see the mistake.
@@miamitten1123yeah I know. But it's not just Casemiros fault we're losing games it's ETHs tactics
Mazzraoui was 10 yards in front of Casemiro when he's lost the ball and 7 seconds later, when Liverpool scored with a free header at the back post, Mazzraoui wasn't even in the picture. He made no effort at all to get back into his position and help defend.
Glad someone else noticed he was garbage yesterday
Ste… you can’t sit there and tell us that ETH is the man to take United forward. Yes it’s 3 games into the season but this man has been there for 3 YEARS and has not made us play with any incling of an identity. We dont have a style of play and the players lack passion. I’m not saying ETH out but he need to get his shit together and get these players onto a style of play that works and is consistent regardless of the starting 11
Who’s gonna come in to replace him
“MU started the game really well” 😂
Yeah, let’s just forget the other 85+mins.
3-0 flattered MU.
Disagree. As much as pool could have had 5, United should have had 2. I imagine this will make you seethe because of your agenda, but the xG says that 3-0 flattered Liverpool if anyone. 🙂
Seethe 😂
If that makes you feel better kid.
Give ETH a 5 year deal. 👍🏻
How did 3-0 flatter they only had 3 shots on target
@@darrell5403 if that’s how you base dominance in a game then I can’t help you kid.
@@dannynewman1140 how do you score more ?
Sounds like playing out of the back will dwindle and letting De Gea go is hurting us. Onana needs some serious evaluation. Have to drop him
Three years in and we are still making the same mistakes. This is a manager and coaching problem
Lol it’s clearly not 3 years
2years or was this the last game of the season
Really feel like split strikers has to be considered when mount is fit again - wether it be zirkzee and hojland, Garna and hojland - whatever combo you want. The midfield needs packing and have Bruno or mount making 3rd man runs - we are pressing in a 442 anyway!
Simply put yesterday, casemiro’s fading quality caused us big issues for the goals. Mainoo was left vulnerable for the 3rd too! Too easy to squeeze us.
Rashford goes elsewhere and thrives because the burden to be the man wouldn’t be there. Shirts too heavy for him right now
Actually unsure that we don’t need to continue to manage Mainoo, and maybe a mount and Ugarte pivot at times gives us more legs across the midfield unit to help stop counters
We need a double pivot to help with the build up, ten hag has to go. It’s either extremely defensive false 9 with Bruno or everyone goes forward like yesterday.
Why don’t United have players in the box. Please analyse. It drives me mad when we have a max of 2 players in the box v 6 defenders
Some players in that team don't realise 2seconds of slow reaction is dangerous. When bruno moans for 2seconds, his opponent has gotten 5yards away from him, rashford drops his head and wastes another 5seconds, casemiro is slow, mainoo isn't the fastest...
Mainoo got the pace of an ant
You got it right. It's a mental issue. United players didn't believe enough.
The first goal was all on Casemiro. He shouldn't be giving away the ball in his position.
However, the second goal was all of Mazraoui, Casemiro, Dalot and Martinez. Mazraoui shouldn't be playing the ball into Casemiro when he's surrounded by 6 Liverpool players. That said United had men back. Dalot needs to be pressing Salah better to stop the cross and when the cross comes in, Martinez needs to be tighter to Diaz.
The third goal Mazraoui plays it into Mainoo who is also surrounded by 4 Liverpool players. Mazraoui dives in and Dalot is out of position leaving them in a 4v2.
Man United should have signed a ball playing central midfield who is comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and who can actual control the tempo of a game. A player like Toni Kroos is needed in Man United's midfield. Kroos is press resistance and can pass through opposition presses.
Ugarte isn't the solution. Man United need a Toni Kroos in midfield.
Why is no one mentioning mount. We obviously miss what he does we press better when he's on the pitch we defend better when he's on the pitch and thr midfield is tighter when he's on the pitch united went to pot after he went off against Brighton and our midfield was no where near Liverpools. The gaps we had last season start to open up again. without him
Because he’s never fit and we can’t rely on him
“If we find ourselves in the bottom half of the table at Christmas he might be in danger of losing his job”. Might be in danger? The excuse making for this manager and these players is on another level, this is Ten Hag’s team now and it’s looking slightly better than last season but we’re still losing. XG, possession, chances created, those stats are all secondary to the score line and it feels like we’ve lost a lot of games in these last two seasons and this season isn’t starting any better.
We were 4 against 2 in midfield most of the time and i remember that many times...mainoo was fighting against 3-4 players in the middle with none of our players moving to support him.
Pressing is vital to what eth wants to do, sometimes makes me wonder why ppl say they don't see what he is trying to do. If you say it's not working that's a different story. Mount is very vital to making this work cos he's very excellent at pressing. It's evident from the drop of intensity in the previous 2 matches. Mount needs to stay fit
Have you ever thought that maybe liverpools set up tactical work and press forced those mistakes to happen which won them the game.
For the 2nd and 3rd goals yes. Not for the 1st; they were not letting Casemiro have the ball in space and then handing it back to them as a tactic. What Slot has done, which I think possibly people didn't expect (myself included), is to resist making big changes to how Liverpool set up and play.
Starting to think Ste is a close mate of Rashfords.
Will never criticise him ever 😂 always say if rashford played for any other team Ste would not rate him at all
even i have never seen any paddock guy having a go at rashford. it baffles me. why would they put a player above the club? it feels like they are paid by rashford pr team. in no other big club, careless player like rashford are glorified. fan channels like howson are the poster boys of our mediocrity.
Rashford the only one who created anything in the entire game?
Bruno, Garnacho and Shitzee keep having excuses made for them with everything blamed on Rashford
@@inBODwetrust13aimless cross, that almost went in because “SHITZEE” happen to make the right run. clown. everytime the ball went to him he could not beat a defender, always stopped the flow of attack and just whips in a cross just to get praised by meat riders like you
Definitely Rio and seems to be sucking up to him
Liverpool played in 2nd gear and won 3 nil. They absolutely did cut us open they were close to getting a 4th. We had two chances after we were 3 nil down.
Didn't cut as open with patient possession, those moments came from losing the ball in midfield and then being too high
There’s still a structural problem. Casemiro was poor but if you watch the goals again only a 5 star skill move would’ve gotten him and Mainoo out of Liverpools pressure.
Should play 5 at the back and build from the back to the width areas and not centrally.
Obviously looking forward to your thoughts as a better Coach Ste
No composure in the final third. Play broke down way too quickly. The tempo was being set by Liverpool that forced the mistakes thats the most worrying part for me.
Does anyone else think that we may have to move to a 3 in midfield. I really believe with how open we look at times we could seriously do with either bringing Bruno way further back or maybe get another frenkie de jong to play alongside ugarte and kobbie, just think the balance of a two in midfield for us has looked so bad for a while now
We do play with a 3 in midfield.
İ thing that the 4-2-4 should be kept for specific situations like the fa cup final because it is effective but its very easy to counter, it cannot be a plan A,
İt has to be 4-3-3 with bruno and kobbie as 8s , bruno can score goals but not as a striker, we need him to play deeper and control games rather than just taking stupid risks all the time, there's a time and a place for that but not all the time, we need a new plan A
Bruno is a big problem always has been. Only times we’ve done well recently is when he’s been false 9 and we’ve had 3 more solid midfielders.
Tbf bruno false 9 much better than Zirkzee so we should go for that next game
@@JB-vv1xcI think I have to agree
@@JB-vv1xc thats also wrong, he isnt a problem, he is extremely talented and is the most creative player in the whole league, but throughout his time the players around him have been subpar and that would exaggerate his weaknesses,
He wants to do everything at once and that can be his downfall at times, if he has competent midfielders and forwards he would be able to focus on himself and you'd see how much better hed look, anyone would look shit with mcfred and Weghorst up front
Casemiro and Rashford should never start again
Just gotta get that Rashford dig in eh?
What are we gonna do going forward? I'm very critical of Rashford and how disappointing he's been but so you seriously think we have reliable wingers in Garnacho and Amad? Rashford is a problem but the other two aren't exactly the ideal solution. Ironically, Rashford was way better than Garnacho yesterday but people will never admit it!
Nor should Ten Fraud
@@directorme6669I agree completely.
Yet you will never get a chance start in your whole life time & that’s what your really mad about
Onana and ETH gets 0 hate and both are the worst we ever had
Alexis Sanchez and Di Maria where better
We are a club in the throes of change on every level, our squad needs 2 seasons at least to be anywhere near challenging, after literally decades of neglect and incompetence, with the stadium literally falling to pieces, and then we lose a couple of games, one against a well-established, long-worked on Liverpool team, and suddenly people are freaking out as if this is a massive surprise. What on earth did they expect! Do they think that negativity and attacks on players and staff is going to help this situation? Seriously? If anyone needs to leave this club be assured Ineos will cut them as quickly as is practical. They are ruthless businessmen who have hired the best in class execs. For those addicted to toxicity… know that I have been around long enough not to read replies when I just state common sense. So save the hate, it won’t be read.
When you look at it I wouldn't say Liverpool press and force errors it's just the personnel in Case who Ten Hag gave the job to move the ball out of Liverpool first line of press. Look at who the first goal score if Case was more composed he had no pressure around him and pick the right pass Liverpool have 6 7 players behind the play
United tactics with the ball are shocking, and the press is passive.
It's either ETH's bad tactics, or the team is ignoring his instructions.
ETH is NOT the man either way.
What did the manager do? He set the team up in a shape that did not take into account the weaknesses in the team. 1. Casemiro is vulnerable to making cock ups , which was proven time and time again and with the full backs so far up the field it is not possible to recover. 2, Selecting Rashford who consustantly has shown all last season that he does not contribute and nullifies our attack on the left. 3. Setting up the midfield that leaves us disconnected and too open when we loose the ball.
Exactly. Midfield shape was criminally naive given what we saw last season
Rashford literally created our only chances yet he's the problem in attack? Clown
@@inBODwetrust13 one single reasonable chance in almost a hundred minutes of football. If you include the last two games, then one chance in 300 minutes. Is that what you call a productive return ? No, it’s not me who is a clown. Look in the mirror.
Everyone think MANU was just bad against Liverpool and EtH should be sacked. No; Liverpool was just too good on the day. They did their work and knew that MANU can’t defend. Rashford; Garnacho;Bruno and Casemiro are just not good in defending.
Obviously Is too early to sack manager, especially as there is no better long term option. But it seems that we have exactly same problems as last year, why we keep doing something what is not working? Brighton won against us and what we do next match with Liverpool? We use exactly same formation and tactics, why? What is the point? We need to fix the problem with formation and tactics.
Manager is too stubborn to change it. He’d rather die on his own sword than submit to the fact his ideas don’t work at this level.
Simplistic view maybe...I have coached a bit at senior level, I feel pace and physicality in the centre is a bit lacking Bruno is not physically strong enough to scrap, that edge that Mainoo had battling for it and then knowing what to do with it quickly...he is only one of that level of quality all around...Ugarte will probably be a big help just due to legs...however the width is an issue...Play breaks down too often and players not able to read each other's movement and next pass. I personally feel Garnacho and Amad are the left and right respectively on form. I would have played Fernandes in the false 9 and had Collyer in for the additional legs and let Mainoo play a little further up. Retrospect is great...lol but genuinly we are more secure with the false 9 as its effectively an extra centre midfielder and the wingers higher position doesn't leave us exposed.
He won't be here at Christmas unless something drastically changes.
Christmas is being generous, he won't make it past September if he doesn't sort this shit out immediately. I think ten hag has got maybe 5 games left if he keeps playing like this

have you seen the xG lads? lmao
Garnacho didn't play well at all. And this was the guy supposedly who should have been starting over either of our wingers the last two games. Amad offers more off and on the ball and we looked far more secure down our right with him on the field.
Garnacho needs to develop physically, mentally & tactically before we can seriously consider him a viable starting option. He's easily dispossessed, makes frequent wrong choices and is slack off the ball. That's no better than how Rashford is doing right now.
Agreed wholeheartedly with you Ste. My only concern is with our new part owner… Holding his head in his hands during the match. It was exceptional seeing someone who cared but it was also somewhat of an unprofessional public show of dismay, which everyone latches onto with negativity. I dunno maybe I expect moe being a clinical director myself and having to deal with pretty morbid emotions with people. But everyone is also not constantly watching me unlike the soap opera that is Old Trafford these day.
I don't know... While I understand what you're saying, I'll say I put my hands on my head and was disappointed a few times during that match. Only difference is, there was no one around to take a photo and make a big thing out of it.
It may be a bit unfair to ask him to be a stoic emotionless board but I also understand that people are constantly watching him to capitalise on anything they can. I believe there is some sort of middle ground to be found... Or the media can just get fucked.
How can you say that after watching that horror show & losing at home to your biggest rival in your own ground.
I literally turned off my TV after 60 minutes & every United fan I've spoken to told me they walked away before game finished.
Gary Neville said there were 20k fans in the stadium before the final whistle.
What kind of a low standard fan are you.
Would you have prefered he started cheering and clapping instead? It shows he cares, I was doing the same during the match

Looking at our team honestly think they just cannot play the way Ten Hag wants, imo with Ugarte coming in we have a squad to go standard 442, bring the fast attacking football back get balls in the box early and keep teams under pressure. 3 years of this now and it just isnt working
It could be a long road ahead so we've just gotta sit tight and be patient.

I'll be patient with the owners, because they've only just arrived and have shown some competence, ten hag and some of these players have been here too long to deserve patience. It's results time now, he we have to start performing better otherwise it's time to make some changes
We only learned one thing yesterday and it’s that we’re not finishing top 4 this season. I agree you can’t sack him yet but better players isn’t going to make his tactics miraculously work. I feel sorry for the new signings because ETH is going make them look like flops.
We lacked a lot of pressing. Mount was dearly missed.
Also Bruno not a midfielder, he’s an icing on top of an already structured midfield that’s willing to constantly win the ball back when him and the strikers keep losing it.
Play Bruno on the left as Rashford and Garnacho shouldn’t be starting matches. They should both come on as impact players (Though Rashford will likely not have an impact)
Also AMAD MUST START
We lost the ball centre of the pitch, and there was a huge gap between defence and midfield, is it worth saying the defence should push up and close that gap. Gives us more chances to win the ball back quicker and more efficiently.
Garnacho certainly isn't going to score 10 goals if he keeps being benched and played out of position when he does play to accommodate Rashford, who could play every minute of every game this season and still not score 10. ETH's biggest mistake yesterday was dropping Amad, his other big mistake was not dropping Rashford and playing Garnacho out of position. Nobody should be able to touch Amad this season, that RW position should be his all season, the choice should only be between Rashford and Garnacho on the LW, and I believe that Rashford has now done more than enough to play himself onto the bench.
Well said Baz. This comment should be pinned.
United should try for Bart Verbruggen next year. Enough of this Onana crap.
The rest of the team are still shite
I think our performance can take a huge turn with the availability of Rasmus to lead the attack and our press, and Ugarte for Casemeiro, then Amad and Garnancho because they're the two wingers we have now who always want to take their man on.
Garnacho is shit. His decision making is atrocious. He scored the same as Rashford last season and he was aweful. He is young and has hufe potential and will develop but we are not Southampton, we don't accept mid table while players develop. Garnacho is an impact sub at best at this age.
Garnacho was horrendous yesterday. He looks good as a sub only!
To be honest, only Amad, Mazra, and Dalot were brilliant yesterday.
We're trying to do high intensity pressing and Hojlund keeps getting injured because he isn't up to the physical challenge
I agree
I personally think its time to cash in on Rashford. There's something not right with him and its been going on for a year or so now.
You’ll still be shit.
I am shocked seeing Casemiro didn’t scan before showing for the ball. 😔
That first mispass that led to Liverpool's opening goal, Mazroui was alone unmarked. He was the safe option. Mainoo was trapped in between 4 Liverpool players but Casemiro just couldn't figure that out!
@@directorme6669 yeah, true.
What I've noticed from the charity shield and the opening 3 games is this.
Onana is the worst GK the club's ever had. He should save their third goal. He's a CB with gloves. I can't stand how awful he is. Nothing in football has ever bugged me more than him in our goal.
Mount is actually integral to our tactical shape because he's incredibly versatile and disciplined tactically. He fills in the holes that Bruno vacates without any big fuss. We are much more compact with him in the team, and so opponents can't play through us as quickly. It's why Casemiro looked good in patches. He's missed big chances to score in the initial two games of the season. Or we'd be raving about his impact.
Thus we are most solid and the midfield area is most compact with Bruno as a false 9. With two high wingers that invert and are a goal threat.
Rashfords demise is born from him losing a yard of pace. Giggs went through this and was garbage for a year before adapting. I think Rashford needs to play down the middle or not at all. His attitude seems better and ETH will die on his shield trying to play him back into form, in my opinon.
Ugarte is Ander 2.0
Fans are frothing about him now, but keep the same energy you all gave Scott, in a few months when everything is going backwards and sideways. You can't be a ball winning machine in the spaces we leave in midfield. Teams will pop it around him all day.
Casemiro is one of the best holding midfielders of the last 15 years. He's not the problem. Ten Hags kick-chase, playground tactics are the problem. Anyone at 32 trying to knit that back four to the front 5 with the spaces that are left in between would drown.
We play a counter attack style but without the deep, compact shape to sensibly invite the opponent on first, before breaking quickly. We just press with a high 5, with one protection pivot player, and then have the back 4 nowhere near high enough to compensate. With no thought to who we are playing, where their danger players are on the pitch at any given time, and what the fucking score currently is.
Its' a recipe for disaster, and has been a disaster since the Carabao final.
We've bought ETH half his Ajax team to play nothing like Ajax did. It's baffling. I liked him initially but I hate watching how shit we are.
Ste rellies on stats too much, they often give a false narrative of the way the game feels. Liverpool were efficient and often wasteful, particularly second half. That was no more an even game than Onana is a competent keeper.
I don't know where we go from here to be honest.
Rashford was ok for the first 7 minutes crap after that
And who created the two best chances that Zirkzee fluffed? Rashford
I bet Ineos are looking around for a new manager as I write
UTD has one major problem and we have had it for a while. It's the reason why our strikers look poor and or defensive is poor. We DO NOT have a CAM Bruno is not good enough just not good enough, when ever he lost possession we were under heavy attack and he does not know how to pass a ball. Bruno needs to go
Finally, someone speaks the truth about Bruno. I was feeling lonely.
He literally creates the most chances in the premier league, but yeah you're probably right, he's not good enough I suppose. 👍🏻

Onana could do better, yes. But he has undeniably made lots of saves, and some very good ones too.
If anything, the biggest thing Onana annoys me with, and he should improve, is his long distribution. For every nice ping, he outs 5 out of play. That is not what I expected from him when he came in. He needs to improve that part as he has the technique to improve that accuracy over longer distance.
We've got to bring in Rabiot as an addition to our Midfield

Both Casemiro and Rashford would be good (if not great) players in a system that works. United doesn't have any style of play or system that works. If you watch any other team, it's clear what they want to do. Not the case with United. If something is done, it's done by an individual performance/move or an oppo mistake, which is rare and can't be relied on. Realistically, I'm afraid Ugarte won't make much of a difference.
I caught the first half before starting work, and i thought we looked okay right up until that first goal went in. De ligt looked solid, martinez was okay, mazraui was decent, mainoo showed why hes been relied on, and dalot was brilliant. Casemiro let us down with his mistakes, bruno kept giving the ball away, trying to play hollywood passes when a simple ball through the middle of their defence was on. Garnacho is a super sub, but sub par when starting, zirkzee couldnt get into the game, and rashford keeps killing the ball, rather than getting it out of his feet and running with it. I worry about onana, he passes the ball well under pressure, even when it looks like he held the ball too long, but his actual goalkeeping skills are awful.
Thing is that after that point, Slot changed Liverpools tactics but Ten Hag didn’t adapt at all.
