Proud of her.....
The family is financially well off to let her grow in each way possible. I wish other parents from not so well backgrounds also get some government support.
ya exactly
A large part of her success comes from the fact that she's high-functioning. One doesn't have to be financially well-off to learn to be a competent (or even skilled) baker - anyone can learn this. Being a model is something that almost certainly would take extra finances, though it's unlikely this young lady will make a career of that anyway - most models don't end-up as super-models, after all, and have to have a Plan B! However, modeling may have provided her with confidence. That's important - though there's other ways to build confidence, too.
In terms of being a baker, I have no doubt this young woman could hold down a job if that's her goal; she's high-functioning enough that she could likely live independently on her own. This would be a goal of most folks with Down's Syndrome, as well as of their families. I'm not convinced that one needs to be "well-off" for that to happen - it's more a function of how high-functioning the person is with their Down Syndrome - which is genetically determined, to some degree, and then optimized (or not) by family and supports.
One could argue that a family with $ resources can afford things other families cannot - but remember, too, that a family with resources may also be less-motivated for their child to be independent; after all? They can afford the cost of caring for the child through adulthood - there's no need for the person with Down's Syndrome to become financially independent. Just some food for thought.
Some do, other's don't. It depends where they live.
@@LionforadayReally ? So having Downs Syndrome is like a spectrum ? How many types of DS are there ?
@@tudormiller887I know - I only discovered this recently myself. Mostly I think you have it or you don't, but rarely, you can have a combination of cells that have the normal complement of chromosomes, and some that have the extra 21st chromosome. So exactly - it would be "on a spectrum," and you'd be variably affected depending on how many of the cells were affected, and which ones they were.
Every sibling should be like you Gitika cause you saw potential in your sister, takes a lot of guts not everyone can do it , Zen's journey is commendable ,the way she turned her life into a success story is inspirational for all .

Government support would be increased time for them with interaction with their seniors and food for them. More high on chewy things like millet roti. Less protein..and to talk less. More sleep to their brains to process their energies
U mean they have to eat less protein and talk less
She looks cute...just needs a little workout then see what's going to happen ❤

she is lucky she's well-off but most people with down syndrome have near zero chances in life. actually, quint should create a video on the causes behind down syndrome. one is late pregnancy (it seems her mother became pregnant quite late). the other reason is inbreeding that's prevalent among indians. inbreeding is one main reason for birth defects. hindus, muslims, sikhs, parsis are all equally to be blamed for this. it won't be surprising if inbreeding is on the rise again now that hindus believe in some kind of racial superiority because they are being fed all kinds of bogus ideas based on jingoism.
Down’s Syndrome is not caused by inbreeding . risk of down syndrome increases with age 1 in 1250 for a 25 year old mother , 1 in 1000 at age 31, 1 in 400 at age 35, and about 1 in 100 at age 40. But Yes younger mothers can also give birth to down syndrome child its just coincidence.
SHE IS PERFECT SHES ADORABLE AS CAN BE MY GOODNESS SHES A DOLL.
No they can never have sex
Why not??
