Thanks for the review! Just bought a used SD600 from GT for less than $300. Always wanted to get an electronic set just to have fun with and practice on at home. Usually play hand percussion & acoustic set but figured this would be a good add, especially for the price. Thanks again.
Good evening Mr. Powell; Just like you, I've been playing drums off and on for more than 50 years. My military service kind of got in the way lol. I bought the titan 50 and I like it a lot. I also bought the expansion bundle. with the Simmons drum2 for ios, and the sounds are great. I'm hoping I can learn a lot from your channel.
Hey man thanks for the videos. I picked up a used SD600 for my son and the module does not even turn on. Would you please tell me if the Titan 50 module will work on the SD600?
I had the 600 before going to the 1250 and the 600 is good BUT I would have issues with the snare not triggering and switching the drum didn’t fix it. Tried firmware update and still no deal. 1250…no problems.
I thanks God I haven’t had those issues. I had issues with the 1250 but the firmware fixed it. 🤔 wait….. I had to get a module replacement on the SD600… the midi stopped working.
Hey on 50 I took and used the 20 as expansion pack.then used my da speakers to get sound through blue tooth on the 50.wired all the drums both peddles through the 50. Then ran a line in jack from 20 into the front imput on the da this made the 20 hot for which I used lines for all cymbals hi hat and ride.
@@KeithronPowell I saw what you you were saying in one of the videos about the splitters but had done this too late. I saw you could tell in your video looking at the cable. Had something to do with duel zone ????
How much does the dual trigger Tom's in the 600 vrs single triggers in the 50 matters to you in your opinion? When comparing the sd600 and the SD 50 you do not discuss this. Please give me your opinion trying to make a decision.
Honestly the dual trigger doesn’t matter to me because I’m an acoustic drummer first. That being said it is nice to have that cowbell or some other sound. I tilt them so that I don’t hit it unless I want to. Next though is the fact that the SD600 is discontinued
Good day ,I've been looking at your channel for some time,I am not a drummer but im interested in drumming. I got myself a simmons sd1200 module to use on a conversion kit but didnt get the cable harness.can you say if any other model's harness can be used .Dave from Trinidad
I’m gonna say no. I tried some swaps and it really didn’t work. Now if you’ve got the time to remap the entire kit it may. But I’d just buy a Simmons cable set up and be done.

I think so. I haven’t tried but the way they do their mapping means it should work.

Thanks, I contacted guitar. Center with the same request and was told they only had cables fir the sd1250
sounds with more punch than the Titan 50, specially the snares
I think the Titan sounds better over all. I could immediate hear a difference
