Great job explaining these colors, Thank you Randy!
Elegy bone

GG Threadfin shad
You answered my question from yesterday with a video on the subject today. Awesome ! Thx man
Always liked the table rock shad colors..especially with the less clear waters around me
I love the winter time water , it gets super clear here too , my dad called it Gin Clear water
The jerkbait really works in moving water , in cuts that drain , or a dam with moving water or water flowing through pipes , I’ve smoked em on it , big ones too
Good tip
@@jddarby007 thanks
That blue and chartreuse bone smokes the speckle trout here in the winter time and it catches giants
When do you use that pink one?
I have brackish water here what colors could I use Randy ? Thanks 🙏 for all your videos 🎣
Got a bent hook on that second bait you showed?
I believe if one spends serious time watching the life aka prey bass feed on it would clue everyone when to use metallic, translucent and such. I'll example metallic... broken light due to chop refracting light, limited light due to clouds, when a bait fish turns appears to flash or reflect. That flash is the same as that I see while watching a school of minnow's darting about. If I were a bass, it would be one thing to que on.
What about tea colored water
The old school guys know about the flo pink and flo red that's why he put it in the thumbnail but didn't say anything about it. LOL
I really wish jerkbaits worked better in the lakes around me here in KY. I’ve always felt a jerkbait is a “boat only” lure. I also think they don’t work the same in all lakes and all parts of the country. Here in the Ohio valley, the jerkbait simply does not produce. I take it with me every trip, but after 8 or 10 casts and no action, it gets put up. I have switched over to a spinning rod, but it’s only landed me 1 fish, and it wasn’t a Bass. I watch Randy’s jerkbait videos hoping for a clue that will turn the page. Kentucky waters, especially here in Louisville, the Bass do not respond to a jerkbait from the shore. I really wish they did.
Hope this might help , if u could get a lil boat with a trolling motor and a12 volt battery and you could get off the bank your jerkbait would work a lot better for you or even a kayak
@@SpookyRedz… it most likely would. Never in a kayak, but definitely if I could get a little runabout. Most RUclips videos I’ve seen, very few if any of them show jerkbaits consistently producing from the shore. I have dozens of jerkbaits and have tried all sorts of rods and reels. It’s not productive from shore. Hence….it’s why I call it a boat only lure.
@@robertdtimmerman I understand , hope your jerkbait fishing starts producing more for you , have a good one
They will work, you just have to find the bite, which can be tough from the bank but I do it all the time. I would suggest to start small to get confidence. Nanahan or Rozante 77
@@rustyshacklfur2637 those are good ones
I love a jointed jerkbait in the winter time I get all mine mostly from Bass pro shop
