- Feelin like “old hat” once again.
We welcomed Jesse James back to the crew today!!
For the most part, machines never stopped. Except when a finger in the drum on the header broke and caused a horrible noise.
The straw appears to be drying down. YAY!

another wonderful day harvesting Tracy and also another wonderful sunset and catch you both again in the next video Tracy
Thanks for the video. Beautiful place, Montana, I have wonderful memories of Intake, MT.
Ohhhh, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, Joe!
Hard to believe the size of those wheat fields. Fire in there would be a catastrophe...no place to go, high winds...can't imagine how you do it without worrying yourself to death. That field along the ridge of the coulee...what an amazing view for the first cut! No time to admire it though. Thanks for the videos.
We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore! It’s so beautiful here!
You have an amazing 5 star chef, ....... food looks awesome 🥗🍲🍜🍛🍵 😉
Greets from the Netherlands.
The BEST!!
Such a clean and good looking crop. Not a weed in sight. Combining bliss. Great to see you two again. Thanks
Awfully good farmers! ❤️
Love the music! Love the scenery! Love the work ethic! Bless y'all!
Your videos make me homesick for northern Montana. My dad was a mechanic for a John Deere dealer in Havre for many years. Memories on many fronts. I'm a 70 year old who misses his dad and the time I spent with him in the field.
Ohhhhh, this warms my heart. We visited Havre last summer so I know where you’re talking about. We also helped a farmer with harvest north of Chester. A SEA of wheat!!
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking in the "old days" before no till, it was all strip farming to control wind erosion. When I drive through the areas today, its quite a visual contrast between then and now. Chem fallow is better for moisture retention and keeping the precious top soil, but I can't help but wonder about the build-up of chemicals and the chemical resistant weeds. Farming is a constant battle between man and mother nature. I call it legalized gambling.
Beautiful crop and scenery. Enjoy! I so wish i could have seen it from a combine. God bless you all and safe harvest
It’s the best job ever!
Tracy, I love your sunset pictures keep it up and be safe and say hi to grumpy Jim
😉
Thank you so much for the update and for letting us see the great state of Montana from a combine harvesting amazing wheat
❤️
Great to see you all again, watching from England, just binge watched days 1 & 2 together, but how scary it is to think it's 12 months since we were with you in Montana. Just makes you wonder who uses all that wheat, keep up the good work and look forward to day 3.
And even more concerning - how fast that year went! Feels like we never left. Thanks for sticking with us!
Awesome awesome so is 100 bu going to be a new normal 👍👍😀
For this part of the state, maybe.
like I said it just like being on vacation enjoy the videos very much be safe God bless.
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoy them
In the 60s had friends in the hills south of Laurel Mt. had 3 jd 105s with 22 foot headers. Never forget the dad said that is the widest they could go. All have passed. Would be surprised to to see the flex headers now.
That’s the same size header that my grandpa once said the same thing - they’ll never get any bigger. We are running a 50’, a 45’ and Jim and I have 40’ headers. Thats a big swath!
Thanks for another great day in the Montana wheat fields Tracey and Jim.
Once again, what beautiful fields of wheat that seem to go on forever. The scenery is beyond words, just lovely.
My compliments to the persons that prepare these wonderful meals for you each day. A wonderful variety of choices, will not go away hungry there.
Sincerely appreciate these beautiful videos Tracey. The wheat fields are just so beautiful!!!!!!!
Looking forward to the next video.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve
😊😊👍👋🙏💕🇺🇸
❤️
Good to see you at it again. Didn’t get notifications right away so got to binge watch the journey out and day one last night. Frank already found a nice spot inside. What a crop you’re in. Looking forward to watching this harvest.
So glad Frank made it here to live out its life. I know it will be as well-loved as we did. Glad you found us again.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Looks like a great crop. Amazing views.
Thanks for being a part of our journey!
Thank you for the harvest update
I always wanted to go on a wheat harvest tour .Just to see the beautiful scenery . That was absolutely beautiful sunset.and the walking tacos looked very delicious. Thank you for your hard work in bringing in the crops.
It’s a great adventure but some of the longest hours you’ll put in in any job (unless a farmer)
Fantastic yielding wheat!
No
Kidding!
Someday I want to come up and help just so I can eat that good looking food😊
I don’t blame you!
Tracy you look like you are in heaven driving the combine keep the videos coming
It truly is my happy place.
Great footage, great music and great people, take care and God Bless all y’all 🇺🇸
Thank you SO MUCH!
100 bushel wheat per acre is about 5,000 loaves of bread. That's about twice the Montana average. If my math is right.
That means one farm is feeding millions. When I farmed it was beef, cheese, and ice cream.
Always a thumbs up! Thanks.
Yes! Millions!
Your videos bring back so many memories of a 14 year old green horn kid in 1963 driving truck in his first wheat harvest. The comradery among the harvest crew, the harvest meals, the challenges of crops, equipment, weather and bunkhouse antics. It was great. Thanks for sharing your summer adventure with us.
I love your memories!!!
thanks for the update, see ya tomorrow!!!!!
❤️
LOVE YOU ALL SUPER TEAM WORK
That is what it takes!! 👍🏻
Great video Tracy, what a beautiful crop of wheat 🌾🌾 keep on trucking 😂😂💪💪😎🤠
👍🏻🇺🇸❤️
Still miss that yellow combine, easily the prettiest machine in the field.
I miss it too! The views here are amazing.
Beautiful looking country, enjoy the videos. From Raymond Ohio !
Welcome! Glad you’re a part of our journey!
Great video thanks for the updates certainly big scale operation,I had been thinking before Jim past comment on Massey 750s
How things change you would of needed many more machines and hard working guy in those hot Massey cabs
I am guess it's grab it before the ears neck off if the straw is as green as that, but that's why it's s good crop.
Thanks
Yes, times are truly different than those when we ran Massey’s and 15’ headers! So much technology! I’d love to have my grandpa sitting next to me on the buddy seat and experience this!!!!
Happy Birthday Ben.
❤️❤️
That would be an awesome job to work on a harvest crew that travels all over the country
There are cutters out there looking for good, responsible help all the time! On Facebook? Check this group out.

You Two hit the jack pot when it comes to great people to work with It feels like everybody on that crew loves there job and that makes for good days thanks for the ride Tracy I really enjoy your videos
Yes! We are truly blessed. After one season, they feel more like family than employers. And now that they have Frank, I guess we probably are family. 😉
Welcome back to jim and Tracy and enjoy your day woo-hoo
👍🏻😊
Reallt enjoyed this. Beautiful sky shots.
Thank you!
Magnificent!
👍🏻thank you so much!
Well looks like run of the mill day. You had a great day. Did I understand that you were running 50’ headers. Sounds like it HOT, BUT YOU WILL adapt to it. Looks like a great outfit to work with..Hope things keep going as normal. 100 bu wheat sounds great. Keep up the good work , looking forward to the next edition of Harvest 2024. CYA
One 50’ head. One 45’ head. Jim and I have 40’ heads. We’re cutting a pretty wide swath!
Since you’re in Montana, I’ve been watching Welker farms, combining peas. They will be doing their wheat afterwards, but it’s pretty dry there and they’re not gonna have anything even near 40 bushels. I don’t know if you watch the other farmer on RUclips, but I thought you’d be interested in the walkers since they’re in Montana
Unfortunately, I don’t spend much time watching tv. But I know Jim has watched their videos in the past.
I still can't get over the fact that they raise 100 bu. dryland wheat. Amazing!
Right! It is quite an accomplishment for wheat varieties making this amount of progress.
What every operator wants is Tacos then have to go back out for the afternoon looking for a squat spot !!! 😂😂
Hmmmm, I’ve not had that issue.
WOW so that's what 100 bushel Montana wheat looks like WOW
👍🏻👍🏻
What an awesome crop!
YES!
Great show! Did you ever think you would get to this point in life?
Not sure what “point” you’re talking about. This age? It came fast! Working on this lovely farm with these even lovelier people? Nope. That was a God thing!
I’m surprised that no wheat is laid down from wind ✌🏻👍🇺🇸
I think the variety of wheat may be the reason.
Amazing the difference in wheat quality from last year to this year!
Are you talking about the standing vs lodged wheat? The variety of wheat has a lot to do with that. But the yields are very similar.
Beautiful country and the best time year
Agree!
Lovey out music choices
Thank you!
Once again awesome video!! Thank you for sharing your journey!!!😊
Thanks for being a part of it!
Love the video! In the beginning I saw you drove with the combine close to the abyss (it seemed quite deep to me!), seems quite scary to me! But maybe the header is so big that the combine itself is far from the edge. I can't imagine you worked on this farm last year too, it looks like yesterday, time flies! Lots of greetings from the Netherlands!
It IS deep! But, yes, the combine sits in the middle of the header so there was plenty of room. I just wouldn’t want to make an error and go over the edge. 😳
I have driven by Manley hundreds of times going down Highway 50 to see my cousins in Syracuse and Unadilla. I was a shop teacher and worked with a guy name, Randy Flanagan from weeping water for a couple of decades. It sure was a shock when his wife died.
Small world! I don’t recognize the gentleman you mentioned from WW.
Glad to see the crop made it. Saw some bad hail damage a little closer to Fort Benton and in Denton.
Dang!!
Another great video. The wheat you were cutting looked fantastic!! Best looking Montana wheat I’ve seen in any video!!
Was a fun crop to cut!
Mighty fine looking crops tracy.look out for snakes.
I watch where I’m stepping all the time! Thanks for your tip!
So how does it feel being back in the combine again d? Is Montana going to be Franks new home? I hope you and Jim are having fun also!
My favorite place to be…Montana! So, yes! I’m awfully glad to have a reason to be back again. One of my greatest concerns was never getting back here after we sold the combine. This is truly a God thing. Yep! Frank will stay here.
THANKS GUYS 😊❤😊
Thank YOU!
Enjoy the videos! Please do a equipment tour
Equipment tour?
They are going to need a bigger silo. Thanks guys.
They have quite a few bin sites. But they’re sure filling them fast.
I love it all too bad there is no smell.... thank you and love your comments and the way you record.
- By the way which combines did you enjoy operating the most. Cutting away the economy and efficiency. Just the joy of driving it.
Ohhhhhh, yes! If I could just share the smells!! The sweet smell of the wheat chaff, sage brush that’s been rained on, wet dirt, etc.
I really loved driving the New Holland combine
I'd work for the eats. Shop looks like a restaurant. Thanks Tracey.
Best regards from Indiana.
You won’t find better food anywhere!! Some of the best cooks live here.
Hello from North East Scotland 🏴, really enjoy your channel..
AWESOME!! Glad you found us!
Nice looking wheat. I’m amazed at how big the fields are. Nice yield
Yes, yes and yes!
great video, really enjoy them! Are those machines all rental machines or owned by the farmer?(harvesting company)
These machines are all owned by the farmer we are helping. We are just manpower to keep them rolling across the vast fields.
Liked and commented
Thank you! 😉
Hear you on the radio , working at Loma
Do you live in Loma? Or on a harvest crew?
Good video good to see y'all
Thanks for watching!
Ur videos r just awesome tracy
Thank you so much!
Hermosos sus videos!! Y felicitaciones por tan excelente cosecha!!
Thank you so much!
Jim. You’re a little to chipper. lol😂
🤣🤣🤣
You guys are 115 south of Shelby Mt where Welker Farms is located. For the past 3 years they have had terrible yields due to lack of rain.
It’s amazing how thick the wheat is that y’all are combining. Hard to believe 115 miles is so much difference in rainfall. Great looking wheat!!
That is crazy! Do they have a better crop this year?
Not sure yet but it’s much less compared to what y’all’s yield looks like.
@@dalemccary6526 they seem to catch timely rains here!
And Believe it or not Tracy DOESN’T like to Pick Corn!😳😂😂
No. I. Do. Not.
Maybe it would be a better experience if it was done on flat ground!
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking 😂😂
Nice video.
Thank you so much!
Hello from Greece
WHOA!! Greece…amazing.
There is more smoke coming your way from Alberta, Tracey! Forests in British Columba and Alberta are burning .... again. Visibility in Calgary last night, from my view, was 2 miles.
Great
Well done
❤️
What a beautiful walk you have in the morning. Is katie going to do the drone again this year? beautiful country up there.
❤️AMER1CA❤️
When she has time. She’s driving grain cart this year and helping her mom with meals.
Everyone has to do their part.
What’s the test weight on the wheat up there this year? I’ve heard it’s really good in places. One report was 65lbs per bushel. I’ve never seen test weights this high before.
That’s pretty high! Most of this grain is going in the grain bin so we don’t have all the data that others might.
When will the Guns shirt make an appearance?
🤣
Watching from Nebraska. Keep them coming. Thanks
What part of NE?
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking South Central. 1 1/2 miles south of hay 92. You drove right past our place when you where video your trip on hwy 92. I recognized the landscape
@@RhettDixon-v1l whoa!
despite the myriad of sensors, the best sensor is the human ear. If some new sound crops up.....check it out!
10-4!!
What’s the size of the fields you guys cut? It looks like miles. Thanks for posting the videos I’m learning a lot.
Well, I don’t know the acres. And I don’t know that I need to know. It’s A LOT, though.
Love your videos, but please, when referring to the difference of combining corn vs. picking corn. Picked corn is the whole cob of corn vs. combined is shelled corn. Thanks from a former farm boy in WI. & keep up the great work!
Well, in our neck of the woods, when harvesting corn, it’s referred to “picking” corn. Probably just a Nebraska thing.
Les, what she calls is in their part if the world is what they call it
👍
👍🏻
🥇
Tell Jim to quit being a stick in the mud when you say good morning Tracy lol!!
It’s Jim. 🙃
Saludos desde rawson buenos aires argentina, ❤❤
Greetings to you, Argentina!! How cool!
I'm sure you've probably watched Welker farms in Montana. Do you know how far away you are from them ??
I hate to tell you this but, no, I have not. I’m not sure where they are located.
Tracy's farm where they are at the moment and the Welkers is ± 73 miles apart as the crow flies, in between there's Kate Stephens ( Kates AG - Farm to Fashion ), she's ± 30 miles ( Dutton area ) from the ( Highwood ) farm, she has also harvest videos. 😉
It’s quite outstanding how far machinery has come over the years when they believe 22 feet was a big header, and now that’s small in comparison, then the reference to one header to the price of 6 750’s wow
Things have changed a lot over the years!
Does all the wheat go back to the bins at home or does some go direct to the local elevators?
Both. We are loading trucks to go to town. And trucks going to the bin site.
Hi there Tracey another great video. Are you cutting spring WHT?
No, we’re cutting winter wheat. The green wheat you see in the videos is the spring wheat.
I love the opening music. What is it? I am from the UK and really enjoy.
Something off the RUclips audio library. They have their own music to use to avoid copyright issues.
It must be a full time job for someone making all that amazing looking food!!
I’m certain it takes way more time to prepare than I would want to mess with. I’m afraid if I was in charge, it might be frozen pizza and cereal.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking 🙂
It looks like most of the fields were sprayed for something other than weeds with all the tracks in them.
What else do you think they were spraying for if not weeds?
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking Aphids, rust ,grasshoppers ?
@@banjobenson9348 - they’re lucky - no grasshoppers here. I will ask but pretty sure it was just sprayed for weeds.
Great videos. It would be interesting if you could ask the farmer on camera his opinion on his thoughts on the differences between the John Deere S790 and the X9 combines. Thanks.
Yep, would be interesting, both have the 50ft header 😉
Noted!
Actually, we only have one 50’ header. The other one is 45’. The combines Jim and I are driving have 40’ heads.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking
Aaaahh, I counted 10 sections on the headers and "normally" they are 5 feet per section, now a see the 35ft and 45ft have an extra smaller section, ......... thanks for the update 😉😊
@@ytfan3815 no 35’ heads. We have 2 40’ though.
That is one honkin big head at fifty feet ! How many acres can you harvest in a average day ?
Depends on the crop and field conditions.
We are starting next week in Belgrade montana
I hope you have a FABULOUS harvest!
Good morning!where are the fires?
The fires are in NW US and Canada providing smoke all the way from Montana to South Texas.
Canada and California, I guess.
Hello from South Dakota
Hello SD!!
Something is wrong with the crop price isn't there?
YES!!
introduce breakfast dog
The black one is CoCo. I don’t remember the name of the brown one.
The video is really awesome, but the music sucks.Should I subscribe?
Sorry about the music. I guess you could always turn the audio down/off. 🤷♂️
