(Point noted! in defense: camera is usually placed in a way least disturbing to the intimate gathering of regulars at the small venue where the talks are held. A matter of courtesy over aesthetics - perhaps in future... )

Jhanna are status of the mind locking itself to an object and Jhanna is the state of mind that get itself stuck to an object and immersed into it.
In this way the other 5 sense are temporary lock out from the mind. When this occur, the mind which is now lock itself into the object and without the other 5 senses disturbance, the mind alone become blissful.
What then is actually 4th jhanna in simple terms?
It is concentration with suppression of reasoning(stopping seeing the truth) and stopping investigation(stopping wisdom)
This is the simplest explaination on 4th jhanna absorbtion.
It must not be assumed to be similarly to Nibanna.
It is also not temporary nibanna. It is still kelisa.
    How about vipasanna?
I practice vipasanna mahasi sayadaw way of mental purification and glad to say i have experience nibanna and am a sotopanna. The Buddha tell us to practice satipathana (sati and sampanjanna) and get into samadhi or calm mind. Once in samadhi you will be able to see the 4 foundation of mind object in the mind as they coordinate with each other to make you create physical and mental karma. This is the cause of "I" to exist and become real.
In order to free ourself from these mental fabrication which had nothing in any relation to the self.
This mental fabrication once are link to our physical body it will become feelings.
Thus this feeling and mind will synchronised with each other at very fast speed until the mind make the body move.
One who are ignorance and without knowing such phenomenor exists in the mind will take it a I and believe there is a SELF.
If one do not recognised these mind fabrication and feelings are at work, they are trap in this phenomenor of mind and body.
Not knowing these phenomenor one will be going endlessly in the cycle of birth and death in samsara.

An informal but informative, useful and entertaining talk.
(Side comment: if technically possible, mind the language of camera angles and try something more eye level to give visual of talking to, rather than talking down to.)
