Single mom here. This will be the thro third time cutting my sons hair. This is the more informative video I’ve found thus far. Wish me luck. I also have a wahl clipper for now. 😂
I am very motivated to start this path and I bought a cheap pair of WAHL clippers and a cheap trimmer, been talking to my friends of how I really want to do this for a long time, that 2 days ago my friend asked me to give it a try on him and I gave my first cut, and it actually didn’t come out bad. I’m motivated to keep going and keep getting better 💪✅
My Brother I appreciate you, you made it so simple, I already cut my hair and I have been off just a little. I just gave myself a phenomenal taper after watching your video. I started with the back and then hit the sides. I never have to go without a haircut, I’m saving money, and the convenience is like no other Appreciate it.
I appreciate this video so much I’m in barber school and been struggling with fading but I feel like this video made me understand it way more thank you man
Im totally new but motivated to learn! You teach with so much detail and clarity! I have a cheap wahl with the 1, 2, 3, right and left ear taper clippers to start learning with my own hair to then later on as I learn buy the right equipment so that hopefully I can start my barber career soon! But I have to say thank you for the tutorial and I will comment back to share a picture of my results. Wish me luck and thank you once again because you made me confidence to do it! I was always thinking how barbers know which clippers to use abs where until you explained it. TTYL 😅laughing but sweating a little!
Ey bro, i just cut my hair( i always cut my own hair) i did what u said! Messed up on the arc on the taper, i made a straight line tryna do the arch. But my cut is absolutely on point. Wish i could post it bro. I appreciate u bro. Little details u give took my cut from 80 to a 100. Bro! Thanks! Dont care how old this video is !
Super simple and easy to follow! First self cut today following your steps and I’m actually amazed at how good it came out and how easy despite the awkward angles. Obviously no where near perfect but work in progress. Keep it up bro
Your videos save me. I went to barber school, but they only taught shear work and what guards do what. Basically self taught and I’m now working in a shop and still trying to learn 🤟🏼🔥💈🙌🏼
Bro I’ve watched over a thousand of these videos but never one like this. You broke it down and showed what each guard did and why it did it. Not just throwing out numbers and lines and expect everybody to understand
Great Job! Learned Alot! Including how to show humility when making a minor mistake and how to recover from it. Helps beginner's tremendously developing their ability to pay attention detail...It's the details that sets a good barber apart from a not so good barber.
How long the cut took? I think saying the time of a cut is very important information, as beginner barbers it should give us an idea of how long you should take to do a crispy taper like that.
Crazy thing how I became a barber I felt asleep watching RUclips I woke up and a barber tutorial video was on and i watched it just of curiosity and it just clicked in me That I wanted to do that too 8 years later still cutting.
I gained way more respect for barbers once I tried it myself. NGL once I hit that first line with the closed clippers there was no turning back then you start going up a fingers space each time and it gets so gut wrenching. My first time and this was a scary experience, with a little more effort I can save myself 300 a month with myself and my three sons. That’s two haircuts a month for all four of us. That’s 3600 a year 😮 my first time running these numbers, damn🤦♂️😅
Extremely helpful, and while I still messed up on some parts I think this is the best fade attempt yet on my own hair. Do you have similar videos with you cutting black folks hair?
What # did you do on the top? I’ve been trying to cut my hair like this for a while but m I’m not sure how to tell the Barber My hair tends to stick out on the front since I have straight hair and I went it to be smooth all around on the front end too and blends in with the shape of the head
I had this taper in school with this haircut in 2008. It peaked like 🔥that year with fitted clothing. I thought I was hottest kid in town with this styled taper lol
Used your link just bought the Silver FX for personal use on the facial and beard lining. Assuming the Gold FX is the same performance, just a different color?
It’s crazy how simple and easy it looks to do but in reality it’s the experience and dedication one puts in ! Bless up G

I learned how to cut in prison. I had a vast amount of years to perfect the craft. But this video was truly informative.
I like how u showed how to bounce back from going to high wit the #2 guard. i make the same mistake kinda often😭

Dre, which shaver is a lot better for you, the Wahl Finale or the Andis?
When you use #1 guard lever open, can I use #1.5 guard closed if I don’t have #1 guard?
Watching this while I’m in barber school fire 🔥
Super blend! Very nice cut! Fantastic job💈💪🏼
Good shit brotha. My older brother also taught to not use the trimmer for the first guideline. Erasing them Can be a little hassle sometimes

Are your clippers zero gapped? And do you have the stretch bracket on??
Used your link just bought the Silver FX for personal use on the facial and beard lining. Assuming the Gold FX is the same performance, just a different color?
Hey, I just have a quick question, where do you buy the blade for your trimmer and does it come sharpened?
Is this a once a week cut or two week ?
I really want to perfect this cut so I can give them to my juvenile inmates at the county.
You can place the numbers on the screen, when you change the number you can't see it because the camera doesn't focus. good job
Jesus Christ loves you all ❤️
No matter how much you sin or deny him.

did you still have to use the #1 guard to blend in the line where the 1.5 couldn’t get? or just fully closed the 1.5?
