- In this tutorial we demonstrate the basics of silicone painting and show a very simple approach to painting silicone masks, dolls, medical simulators, and SPFX props.
We used SAM-32 and diluted it with OSS for painting. All of these supplies are available on our site:

Just in time! I've got a project coming up that will need this. Thanks so much
Excellent!
thank you for sharing, you save my time.. 💌
You're welcome!
Super informative and interesting.
Thank you sir!
Hey I'm working on a cosplay project and I intend to get a fake silicone torso to wear because the character is very muscular(Ganondorf from the latest Zelda game) but also his skin is not normal colored (its a very dark green) but I think the torso is so versatile I wanted to use for other projects in the future and I feel this is a dumb question but are silicone paints washable on that case? I want to know if I can remove it for other projects or if its permanent once I paint it!
Thank you for the video its very informative on some other questions I had 😊
Thanks a lot !!! but does it mean if the silicone head has been made months ago it's not possible at all to paint it ?
@@Tempsnomades depends on how clean it is.
Greetings! Does these products and techniques work on TPE rubber?
I have not worked with TPE, so you would need to do a test and see how/if it sticks.
Great tutorial, thank you
You are welcome!
I got a question dude.. i bought a Silicone Mask from Immortal Masks, the Silicone they used to paint it is rubbing off.. i guess they did a rush job on it? i don't know. is there anyway i can use this Method for Repainting the spots that are rubbing off? and will they stay for good if i do it right, or will the Silicone "Paint" keep rubbing off? cause i was told the Silicone would BOND to it and never rub off, but i can definitely prove that's not the case with this mask..
SAM-32 is good for painting silicone masks and it can be thinned with OSS as we do in this video. These products are available from Fox and Superfine in Georgia.
This is a guess on my part, but due to the fact that mask is already completely cured I would guess that repainting will only be temporary fix. I have had a few silicone masks and paint peeling seems to be a somewhat common thing. Hope this helps.
Hi! in my country only sell like 5 color pigment, can i use oil paint instead of the silicone pigmen? i wanna use it for minor details like shadows etc, the silicon im gonna use is silicone RTV 650
Paint company and which type of paint is suitable for silicon mask
I'm so confused after watching this.... you put finishing powder on with no silicone wet base??
Yes. It is a very simple process., no need for confusion.
How come you didn't add A &B
@@Babydaxanddollies SAM-32 is a 1 part, air drying silicone adhesive.
Great info
Thanks!
Very impressive. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Great! I would like to paint my first platinum reborn, can you help me by telling me the list of necessary products I shall use? I already have special colora for silicon but I am not sure what shall I use to mix them and fix them .... Thank s so much. I have always used acrylics, oil, watercolors,....this woould be my firts reborn painting 😅
What we use in this video is it: SAM-32, OSS Solvent, and silicone pigments. There are links in the video description and additional resources on our website. Thanks for watching!
Can you use naprha in a pinch? Or toluene?
Yes, Naptha will work.
Would silicone caulk work as a paint base? Or would it not bond to platinum or tin-based silicone?
It depends on the type. There are a lot out there and some do not bond very well. Test first.
@@brickintheyard anything I should look for
Are you selling SFP right now or just the aerosil?
We are out of SFP right now but we'll have it back in stock soon.
If I want to replace the sam with platinum silicone as a paint based for best results what is the closest form to it ,even if you haven’t try it
Cuz it’s too small for beginner like me😅😅
You can also paint with 5110F provided you do the painting as soon as possible after demolding the original 5110 or 5110F cast. ruclips.net/video/AhG1QjFySIU/видео.htmlsi=7572JAvzQmXLnpKf
Can you tell me if this product is sam 32 the same as silpoxy smooth on ?
I am not familiar with that product.:(
If I casted my piece with 0030 or 0050 can I replace the sam-32 with 30 or 50to complete my panting as paint base?
What is the replacement for silicone solvent is ethanol will do
I have not tried painting with the OO30 or 50 as a paint base. Not to say it will not work, just have not tried it. The main difference would be a much longer drying time that could be accelerated with a heat gun. I have not tried Ethanol, but silicone chemistry is very sensitive so you must test what ever you use to make sure it will work and not break down over time.
Thanks a lot
By the way do you reach out and deliver to other countries like Egypt or l should with deal with any mail
Unfortunately we only ship within the US.@@mohamedarifi8185

What gel is ideal for making a fetius(fake baby) is it plastil gel 10 A and B or Gel 25
5100 or 5110 would be ideal for a doll. The 5100 is the softer of the two.
Are resin pigments ,silicon?
Our polyurethane resins can be pigmented with PolyPig colors. The pigment must be compatible with the base oil of the material to which it is being added.
Awesome videos! I’m learning so much!! Question: Is it body safe after painting? Like, for say.. silicone sex toys?
I'm not sure what kind of test would be required to determine that. I'll ask around.
How can I make my silicone more bloodier
I'm not sure what you mean.
@@brickintheyard how can I make my silicone peice look bloody instead of pinkish like in In the video
@@HauntedApparel The piece will be whatever color you paint it. You do not have to paint it the same color as me. This is an example for a video.
@@HauntedApparel add more pigment to the base (sam 32). More red + dab of green + maybe yellow... depending on the color blood you want... add some black if you want it aged but go in small amounts so you arrive at your desired color instead of just making mud.
Hi, how do I melt a silicone skin?
You don't. Silicone will not melt, at least not at any temperature you would want to generate. It would probably just burn at very high temp. If you want a skin material that can melt, look for a soft Vinyl.
@@brickintheyard Thank you 🙏
2:23 Do NOT use latex gloves... wear nitrile gloves or vinyl gloves. Thanks for the reminder!
Nope. No latex gloves. Bad.
What about parts A and B
SAM-32 is a one part silicone.
Great techniques and video, but wish we could see some models without "blood and guts" and human destruction! I'm sure some people don't mind (especially the guys?) but for the more "sensitive delicate flower"... type like me... Help! Gracias for all the info and can't wait to get started!
I agree, there is plenty of carnage in the world. Did not intend to add to that.
