Blessed Pier Giorgio knew what I think many of us can benefit from this: it's not all about you. He's so inspiring. I like knowing that he couldn't sing well but sang to God anyway. :) Thanks to all who make this podcast possible. God bless you.

This young Disciple of Christ….Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati is slated to become a saint in 2025! Praise be to God 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻. Also I had the honor of serving on the founding board of Frassati Catholic High School near The Woodlands, TX. The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecelia of Nashville came to make the presentation as we were choosing the name. Shortly after this riveting talk …..I spoke up and said….I believe we have our namesake! (Never have I been at a loss for words.) This spring our 11th class will graduate…..by the Grace and Mercy of a very loving God!

Two comments: (1) I prayed a 54-day rosary last year for Pier Giorgio’s canonization. Love ❤️ him. (2) great haircut, Fr. Gregory.

Thank you for the introduction to such an interesting and inspiring Saint. Often I wonder why such precious people pass so young like our Sr Clare Crockett from Derry in Ireland. There is a movie about her All or Nothing available on RUclips. Ave Maria

Growing up, I used to wonder the same thing. I guess- God, the angels and the saints love them so much that they snatch them up to heaven to be with them, immediately their mission on earth is completed

I second a recommendation on the All or Nothing story of Sr. Clare. I watched it on RUclips.

Loved the mention in the beginning by Fr Pine of the recognition that good tasks often get followed by a difficult situation. My take is that someone/thing wants to discourage good actions, thus the aggravation of a long, delayed and cancelled trip back home. However, God turns all bad to good. (So there!) In this case, clearly Fr. Pine recognized the "punishment" as a consolation instead. The double whammy is that Fr. Pine recognized the consolation Plus he has the opportunity to mention this spiritual phenomenon on Godsplaining as a teaching moment. (take that!! ha)

As far as I'm aware, different provinces of the Order decide whether Third Order members can have OP after their name or not (as in doing so, they then represent the order). So it could be the case that it wasn't allowed in the Italian provinces, but is allowed in the province of St. Joseph.
