I had one. It was my Dad's before mine. He got it new in 1959. It measures 48" and it's 45lbs @28". I've given it to my younger brother since he has some boys he can hand it down to. Nice bow!

Lots of Bear archery groups out there that are super helpful with tuning and anything Bear Traditional. Great stuff Jason. I’m super excited for you to be shooting this new bow!

I think you are gonna like that bow man. That’s what I used when I was a young man and I wouldn’t say anything bad about it. I’m 78 now but that bow is really a good choice I think. Think you’ll be surprised with it, especially compared to those custom bows. Just a good all around choice there Jason.

Jason, you picked up a nice "Do it All" recurve!!!! I have been shooting Trad bows all my life(53yrs old Now) I have shot about every short AMO bow out there from 56" to 48",I have even built my own custom bow which is a 55",I have a longer draw than most people 30" and I always chuckle when I peoplke have always said Kodiak Magnum will never work for 30" draw,I have never had any issues with a Kodiak Magnum at my draw.I have shot about 20 of these from 35Lbs to 62Lbs never had an issue. The kodiak magnum is just hard to beat for treestands to groud blind hunting,I always run beaver balls and damping strips on the limbs with felt pads(round felt pads you buy at walmart) also on limbs, then I add limb saver round disk to the limbs and I shoot 14 to 16 strand 8125G bow string material at 7 3/8 brace height.I use Big Jims quiver 4 arrow strap on.I really enjoy your videos and content! if you ever need any help or advise on Trad please give me a holler.

To measure the length of a recurve, measure from tip to tip along the curvature on the back of the bow.

Jason your arrow weight seems a little lite.. test one-off those arrows with a 100 gr insert. You know more forward of center is best for penetration.. I’m a bear guy but don’t have one that short..I was always afraid of stacking. My draw is about 27/28 “ I’ll have to try one..

I shoot a 60# and it 💯 eats heavy foc arrows. From 600-800 grains...go with a micro arrow and EXTREME FOC FROM ETHICS

Your measuring it wrong! Measure on the side facing you when shooting, from tip to tip. It came out in 1961, first year.

Bows are not measured from knock to knock. They're measured along the curve of the bow. That's why it measures forty eight when it's a fifty two inch Bow. Lefty new jersey
