When I first saw the Thrills By Night crowd dance, I laughed myself silly at first. Then I started watching and was impressed by Mario's wicked dance moves. By the time I was playing through the game again, I looked forward to the scene and bopped with the music. Even funnier is that Mario was already a young adult by the time of the Donkey Kong arcade game, released in 1981. That means that, while disco would've been "dead" by then, he would've been a teen during its heyday, which explains how he moves so well to the beat and knows the dance moves.
