@@lenkradborke7226 Buffed is an understatement. The E4 AI (as long as it works lol) was smart. I was not prepared for how aggressive Flint's Drifblim-Infernape combo was. And Cynthia's Lucario outsped everything I threw at it. (Granted I did play on set mode and my mons were leveled to be equal with the E4 to make the fight fair lol)
@@cainyourkids Same level as Cynthia, or same level as the first member? I was like 1 or 2 levels below Cynthias mons and well, i was only able to beat her by abusing X Sp. Def and Quiver Dance vs. Spiritomb. I really dislike the balancing in this game, i didn't wanna rely on a strategy like that, and every other battle was just way too easy.

Cynthia's mons are very well-known already, so while I didn't actually go for competitive when preparing my team (didn't even bother looking at the right Nature lol), I did end up using a bulky Altaria with Dazzling Gleam and Cotton Dance! Bulked its DEF and used X SpD and watched as Spiritomb's Shadow Ball whittled only 1/4th of my health while my Dazzling Gleam took it down to half. Spiritomb wasn't really my biggest hurdle. It was actually her Lucario who, at that level and with its EV stats in SPE, meant that it outsped everything I threw at it. I took the L gracefully, and returned a day later with a moxie Gyarados with Dragon Dance and proper EVs - it's high stats meant that it took a lot of Lucario's punches while I Dragon Dance'd twice and OHKO'd it with a STAB Waterfall XD While the level spike is surprising, I don't think it's still as bad as Johto's /Gen II which was a nightmare (Lance is capped at Lv. 50 while the wild pokemon are capped at Lv. 40, and you need to face Red who is at Lv. 70 lol goodluck). I was more impressed with the E4 this time (everyone knows Cynthia is challenging, so it wasn't really surprising) who had competitive held items and actually had set-up to very familiar VGC strategies that I paused and laughed aloud, thinking "FINALLY!!!"
Although the x items was cool to see being put to use, I still prefer grinding levels just enough to be on par and increase stats the usually way with my move pool 😎

Now I have thanks to your video, my team was very underwhelming but was par to yours. Especially my Luxray that was just slightly higher ranked than yours. Hey, idk if you haven’t already done it yet but do you think you could make a video of your full team in depth that you used to beat the game? As well as tips for someone like me who ran into the problem of not being able relearn moves with my lack of heart scales and possibly needing to substitute moves? For example I completely realized too late moves like acrobatics or earthquake on your infernape were very useful. As well as abilities and natures Also what would you recommend for an alakazam since you substituted it for azelf? Update: I did it, it also helps if you have your psychic Pokémon hold a twisted spoon and luxray with black shades or something else that boosts dark type attacks
just try and copy azelfs moves onto alakazam. Use psychic and dazzling gleam. That covers your psychic type move and fairy move. Put whatever you want for the other two moves. Look up a guide for dazzling gleam TM. I think its in Team Galactic HQ entering from the warehouse.

Honestly I'm just going to allow myself to get wiped from the league and go back using the same strategy you used. Very difficult for me to get past her lucario, it gets off 1 nasty plot and is gg for me since none of my pokemon can out speed it.
Congrats on finishing the game (with half of your team underleveled, to boot)! I was surprised to hear they even used perfect IVs and optimized EV spreads (at least for Cynthia's Pokémon; she's possibly my favorite champion in the series so I think that does her justice); it looks like ILCA gave the game more thought than I had expected. I'm looking forward for the post-game content as well 👍

Bro that was solid! I used Togekiss instead of other Psychic/Fairy type. With Infernape I used dig Incase I couldn’t one shot, and for Electric type moves I used Discharge. Additionally, I equipped Togekiss with Dream Eater since it gets Yawn Natrually. With all that said I didn’t need the extra moves, your stat was awesome.

So after like the first run I just went back and grinder some more.. raised the lvls of some of my Pokémon.. added a gardevoire at lvl 60… my lineup is rapidash, gyarados, torterra, gardevoire, staraptor, and Luxray.. And I beat Cynthia on my second run

you can get gabite and gible in the grand underground after the 7th badge, that’s how i got mine currently

You seem good at this game, can you rate my team (or anyone)
1.Infernape lvl 74 moves: Iron tail, Close combat, Acrobatics, Flame wheel (replacing flame wheel with flame thrower when I get it)
2.Garchomp lvl 54moves: Dragon claw, Crunch, Dragon breath, dig (replacing some moves when I get better moves)
3.Luxray lvl 69 (nice) moves: Spark, Theif, Crunch, Volt switch (replacing Crunch with something else)
4.Gardevoir lvl 65 moves: Future sight, Phychic, Dream eater, Dazzling Gleam (replacing Future sight with something like yawn)
5.Froslass lvl 52 (it has jolly so it’s speed it 145 to outspend cynthias ace gardhomp) moves: Hex, Hail, Frost breath, Bite (want to replace hail with freeze dry if i can get that to if it’s one)
6.Lucario lvl 55 moves:Aura Sphere, Drain Punch, Dragon Pulse, Meteor Mash

I can’t beat the fire elite my team is all 50 or above idk what I’m doing wrong
i had a team pokemon there levle for in thge 60s and one at 71 and i beat the chamm,p ror if time is good move that works will
Yea i took on every trainer and my infernape leveled up to 66 when i was fighting the roserade
So after like the first run I just went back and grinder some more.. raised the lvls of some of my Pokémon.. added a gardevoire at lvl 60… my lineup is rapidash, gyarados, torterra, gardevoire, staraptor, and Luxray.. And I beat Cynthia on my second run
I’m actually really nervous for the elite four and the champion
I was about level 90 for most my pokemon when I did this and still used x items on Cynthia, the elite four I didn't cause I knew I could beat them

Dude made it look easy meanwhile my level 78 charzard gets one shotted I guess level means nothing in this game
hi, I ran out of potions and I saved right after I beat the last elite four person and it’s actually impossible to beat now because all my Pokémon have no health, do you know what I can do. I FIXED IT.
Absolutely nothing you gotta have at least 20 revives and at least 25 full heals just to be safe
You know that it’s ok to lose right? You just white out and go back to the Pokémon center
