DUDE, u r one of the best masters always showing us different ways to do something in a blender even if it was hard or easy. the time not matter for u . full mark for u :)♥♥
Perfect now i can use this to continue working on my Into the Spiderverse Animation. I was wondering how they did it! Thank you so much! Can you also do the same thing with Limbs?
Sometime, just go for what is the more obvious. We tend to think that feature films relies on super advanced technology while a lot is about artist labor. Frame by frame
Oh wow controlling visibility through object scaling is so much more intuitive than keying display options. My current project doesn't need multiples for smears (yet) but fumbling with keys for the display settings was the current road bump. Thx!
I know I didn't see the next video when you implement them in your project. Soo forgive my intrusion here :D But if I had to do it: I would merge the 6 meshes together, Create a secondary UV map where their UV would be collapsed and evenly spaced on a 0 to 1 linear gradient. From that I would use that mesh in a particle system with a shader that got a white line Mask that Pan from 0 to 1. Less drawcalls, lightweight and more control. But again just playing guessing games over here ! Keep on doing a great job! Ca tabasse ce que tu fais ! :D
I remember as a child of about 9 or 10, seeing a single frame on a handheld film viewer from an animation of Donald Duck going mad chopping down a tree. In the frame parts of Donald were multiplied and I was intrigued by the idea that they could do that to create the illusion of rapid movement.
does scaling down to size 0, decreases the performance of the game? (overload of meshes) Or re-rendering every time the animation is executed is worse for the performance? (lag spikes)
Nice Tutorial Pierrick, i became a big fan of 3d smear after Spider-Verse, but what if i wanted to add this to a game animation? Do i have to export the duplicated object too, how would you suggest?? I love your Alive Course too. I only could wish to buy your course lol, i can't buy but i would love to buy someday in the future. 😄
Hi Pierrick ! I'm not an animator but already used some times the scale by 0 way. I have a question regarding the way blender cycles generate motion blur, does it look at sub-frames step and if yes, can it generate small unwanted glitch if the step isn't perfectly constant ? Thanks.

What a professional.I enjoy watching your videos
When i see your tutorial my heart dancing, you very talented ♥️♥️
Congratulations! I just came to watch. And I learned something else that was not related to the video, thank you very much!
A breathtaking tutorial!!!!🥰
Then how are you still alive 😱😱

Yep that would do the trick :)
Definitely something I can use in my various series and shows. Many thanks for sharing your skills and talents.

Wow 😳😲😳...this is amazing
Awesome! I'm looking forward to checking this out. Thanks for the tutorial Pierrick! :)
thank you very much! love your videos btw!
Thanks a lot ! :D

For such an effect ingame, the mesh will be spawned and then removed. Using a particle system
because those are separate objects it looks like they wont export well. I guess we'll find out in the next tutorial
Wondefuuuuuull!!!!

We'll publish a tutorial on how to do this ingame soon
Can you use this duplicate technique for a rig. Like selecting part of the rig and duplicating it?
Maxium nice :)

If uses surface vector. If you have a big difference between 2 frames it will show.
You need to make some test, I don’t know its exact behavior
🤔Can you export the multiple Smear animation?
