Great posting. Many thanks. Both Dilip Kumar and Javed Akhtar are amazing orators. Feel like they should never end their speech. Javed Akhtar's Classic Legends videos on some of the lyricist is also very nice. My personal favorites are shailendra and Sahir but I also admire the huge volume of work that Mr. Bakshi has produced. Was amazed to find that he has been nominated the most for filmfare lyrics award - some 40 odd times. What a contribution to hindi cinema!

Both Dilip saab & Javed saab Urdu pronunciation is superb, excellent undoubtedly.
I can understand that Javed Akhtar is from UP and his mother tongue is Urdu. Dilip Kumar's mother tongue is Hindko which is a dialect of Punjabi.

I have always admired and respected bakshi sab s geet. Sehaj dhung se seedhi baat kehna.logonh kee zubaan mein kehna.that you marvel that poetry could be that simple. Javed akhtar paid the right respect and i totally agree with him that dont waste another 100 years to honour him.Honour him right now.
Bakshi Sahab always said that he is not a poet but a song writer. But all said and done, his knowledge of Urdu and Punjabi helped his writing skills and he was a genius at that.
