As a fellow shrimper owner on the Clyde I’m really learning how to sail it better thanks to your videos. Mine is 534

Thank you for watching. My dad used to keep bis boat in Largs many years ago and I have many fond memories of sailing the Clyde.

Shag Rock as in Shag - the bird, simply another well-used name for Cormorants.
Thanks for your lovely videos from a son of Dartmouth

Another lovely little film. I really like your clear explanation of weather helm and the benefits of keeping the boat flat. Bitesize tuition!

How can you say that is one of the finest cruising grounds in the world? have you sailed them all? :) I'm Biased, Here in NZ we have the best cruising grounds 🤣

😊 I knew someone would jump on this as I was saying it. So
“In my opinion “ “in the context of my limited experience “ “and obviously excluding NZ” it is maybe “one of” etc etc.
seriously though I will get to NZ with a boat sometime. Just not sure the Shrimper is up to an ocean passage.

Continue to be impressed by your nav set up. How are you finding your mainsheet set up holding up? You seem to have been able to put it through its paces in a range of weather.

I’m very happy with the mainsheet. As you say, it’s been out in 0 to 20+ knots and I have not had any issues at all. My wife didn’t like the way it blocks the cabin a little, but she’s over that now. When not underway, I take it to the coachroof cleat where it’s out of the way.

Another chilled video, thanks. Do you use a waterproof cover for the ipad? If so, what one is it. Thanks.

Yes I do! I have absolutely no idea which one it is though because, just picked the most popular off Amazon. I’ll look it up and get back to you.

Your long suffering wife does not look like she’s enjoying this trip. Seems like a case of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”.
