Showcasing the sounds of one of the world’s leading electronic labels, James & Jody’s mix includes unreleased originals and remixes from Yotto, Tinlicker, RUFUS DU SOL, and Alex Metric. The duo’s two-hour-long set was a highlight of the sold-out event, with over 5000 people in attendance and a staggering 1.1 million unique viewers tuning in online during the live-stream via Twitch. The lineup on the day also featured sets from Luttrell, Ben Böhmer, Moon Boots, 16BL, Oona Dahl, Edu Imbernon, CRi and more.
The 11th installation of Anjunadeep’s flagship label compilation, curated and mixed by James & Jody is due out on February 7th, featuring new and exclusive music from the label’s biggest and brightest names. Over the past 15 years, Anjunadeep has proven a hotbed for new talent, including Lane 8, Dusky, Yotto, Eli & Fur, Ben Böhmer, Cubicolor and Qrion.
Printworks continues to firmly establish its place as one of the world’s most exciting music venues, and this summer Anjunadeep join forces with the team behind Printworks for a special summer event at sister venue Magazine London. On July 25 an all-star lineup (including Lane 8) head to the outdoor riverside space for a day to night takeover showcasing some of the label’s finest talent. The greatest anjuna set from a POV of musical bliss . These guys truly take you places . This something different than the high energy of beats . This travels deep in your soul, this is innerworldy , this is the bliss of being in your mind .
No knack on beats, but beats is the fast pace material world , eager and hungry and always exploding , that visual a&b use with the airplanes and the globe spinning and the airplane landing at different places globally , I think really shows a lot about beats . The fast past nature , how the music can take u anywhere on earth , how we all are chasing something ,
This set goes in a whole new direction . There is nothing to chase . You’re here.
That was very well put. This set just rides out. I believe that once the 3rd track came in and brought back the break beat elements from Way Out West and i think that more artists will incorporate more breaks into their sets now just like it was before
