That's great!! I'm glad they're holding up well for you, too. I'm curious to see how the Bio material holds up after a year compared to the regular Primus material. :)
Great video, definitely check out the Wildling shoes, it's a German company. If you end up ordering from them, just be sure to use THEIR sizing guide as closely as possible. Absolutely great, beautiful and durable shoes. I'd also recommend Altra for their trail and road running shoes. They are a zero drop company but their running shoes provide different levels of padding; just no difference in heel to toe in height from the floor
You don't need cushion for walking or running on any hard surfaces IF you get your form right and use your feet properly and naturally. We have natural springs in our feet that can cushion the impacts without any problem. The issue is that most people forget to or never learn to use those springs because of the weakening, posture-bending cushioned casts that dominate shoe markets. Landing with your forefoot in order to cushion your stride will eliminate the need for shoes for the most rigid of surfaces and the highest of running speeds. The purposes of barefoot shoes are abrasion protection, traction, weather protection, etc, but NOT cushioning. Any form of cushioning encourages unnatural form and/or high-impact heel-striking. @@dvss7459 Before getting into barefoot/minimalist shoes, make sure you learn to move barefoot first, while being barefoot. Watch this: ruclips.net/video/4arz7ZJvu0I/видео.html I'd say definitely get barefoot/minimalist sandals like Shamma Warriors. I use them with power straps that cost an additional $10 and are worth it. Nothing offers more foot freedom than sandals, but they're not great for fast running (especially laterally) or for the winter, so shoes are needed. I'm still trying to find an ideal pair of shoes for myself. Xero Prio are too bulky and ruggedized for everyday use. Merrell Vapor Glove 4 are good and cheap, but my ideal size was a bit narrow for my slightly wider-than-average feet. I didn't wanna go up a size, so I didn't buy them. Recommended, though. The Vibram FiveFinger KSO EVO seem cool, but I haven't tried them. I'm trying out Vivobarefoot shoes next since they tick all boxes on paper, even though they're expensive. Balancing Laura I actually bought a moccasin and I love them! They are very durable, all leather. Not as sporty and appealing to the eyes as the Vivo shoes, but usually a conversation starter.

Hi Laura, very new to the barefoot concept and just recently started walking barefoot at home.. no I didn’t like to do that before 🙄🥴 but here I am looking barefoot shoe reviews 😅 Love how you both review and your enthusiasm, love the color of the blue ones.. but it’s all about what fits best 😊
So much great first-hand info here, and done with fun. Thank you both! I was also quite impressed with your slack-line split balance. Re: the side-by-side with the new Bios, it looks like they've changed the toe-box shape with the new ones. Are they a bit more rounded in the outer 'corner' around the pinkies? :~)
Hahaha I swear, once you experience a wide toe-box you can't go back! Vivo has some good office appropriate shoes, but the ones other than the flats for women that could be considered more business casual aren't really my style. I'm curious to hear if you end up finding another option!!
@@BalancingLaura I saw the VivoBarefoot ballerinas, but black and gray do not work with my wardrobe. I just purchased a pair of beige Merrell Vibram Mary Janes on Poshmark. I cannot wait to try them at my standing desk! I was wearing BOC clogs, which have a wide(ish) toe box, but the hard sole was murder on my feet, legs, and lower back. .
Love your little videos, we'd totally be chums 👍🏼 Looking at purchasing the Primus Lite 3 for running but has highlighted some interesting issues concerning performance on both natural and man-made surfaces. Sick slacklining skills 🤙🏼 and you should rock red and green shoes at the same time more often.
Thank you so much!! I'm eager to hear if you end up getting the Primus Lite 3s - I'm wanting to get some myself but am hoping they'll come out with some other color options. Let me know if you ever make it to the Houston area!
I was trying to look through the comments, you are usually a 7-7.5 shoe size and feet measure 22 cm? I ask because mine are closer to 24cm but I also wear 7-7.5 shoes and they recommended the 8 for primus according to their fit finder. That seems to big tho? I’m unsure what size to buy ;/ also would the lite 2 be good for pavement running? I’m wanting a running and walking shoe! Thanks !
not sure if this helps you or not, but I live chatted with Vivobarefoot on their website. Some shoes were recommending I wear a 10 based on their fit chart when I wear typically wear a 9. I asked what I should do and the person I spoke with said to wear the size I typically wear. BUT I have never worn or tried VBF shoes myself, so don't take my comment as gospel. :) I recommend you livechat with them on their website for any questions.
Hey Ashley! Apologies for the delayed response - it's been a crazy few days! I tend to air on the side of caution and size up when buying any shoes, but I think what Skyler said below is a GREAT idea. Live chatting with them would be super helpful. My concern if you got a 7.5 they might be a little too snug - the 7.5 is just right for me at 22cm. Maybe the 8 would be a great fit! There was a time a few years back where I ordered two different sizes and returned whichever size didn't fit (but it's not ideal, of course)! I hope this helps and would be really curious to hear what size you ended up getting! 💜
Balancing Laura thanks! I am still insure what to buy as I’m just looking into transitioning and want something for casual and running on concrete (1 pair of shoe)
@@ashleyoh25 you should check out Feelgrounds barefoot shoes!! I actually just did a review and was really impressed with them! Here's the link if you're interested in checking them out: ruclips.net/video/RgOtLe5eOrE/видео.html Hope this helps!
Great question! The bios feel WAY better than the original Primus Lites that had more of that fabric material. The new Primus Lites (like the IIs and the IIIs) feel just like the bios and I really don't notice a difference. LOVE these shoes and still wear them today!
Hi Laura, thank you for the review! It really helps. Can you suggest a similar alternative to the primus shoe you reviewed? I think it’s no longer available. I’ve been wanting something really light for walking because I can’t stand the normal big ones other stores offer usually. The lighter the better. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I just checked their website and they have the Primus Lite IIIs in a new color (Blue Haze) - now would be a good time to grab a pair if you like that color! The Primus Knits are also a great option for walking and they look great, too! I'd also check out Revivo.com - they refurbish and resell Vivobarefoot shoes so you might find something great! Feelgrounds is another brand to check out if you're looking for walking shoes - I've actually reviewed all of their shoes on my channel if you want more information on them! Hope this helps! 💜
I ordered RA II and Porto Rockers. The RA II liner kept sliding around so I removed it, the Porto Rockers ripped at the heal after a month or two. I wrote into Vivo and they wouldn’t replace them. Overall I like the design, but in my opinion the soles aren’t padded enough; as you pointed out most of us are walking on concrete and hard surfaces during the day, not soft natural surfaces. It would be nice if Vivo made more padded options but still minimalist. I’ve also tried Lems which are great, but not as stylish as Vivo. If a company could take Vivo styling with Lems padding they would sell like hot cakes!
Great video, making me want another pair! What method have you guys used to clean your shoes? I wear my Vivo barefoot Primus Lite's DAILY and they are starting to smell. I've heard throwing them in the wash can be bad for the binding. I have also read that using baking soda only works as a temp solution and then they smell again in a few days. Any rec's are appreciated! Thanks!
Thanks so much! We've had pretty good luck with putting charcoal inserts in at night. I use them on a regular basis and my husband isn't as consistent. Let's just say you can definitely smell the difference! Here are the ones we use: www.amazon.com/Natural-Purifying-Deodorizer-Eliminator-Non-Toxic/dp/B071YLSWHW/ref=asc_df_B071YLSWHW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198101413345&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4833321274851019699&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028279&hvtargid=aud-801381245258:pla-349639766839&psc=1 Hope this helps!
Not to get into it too much, but what type of work does the guy do? I work at a warehouse in a retail store for roughly 40 hours a week. Would these do well there? Because, as it stands, my feet are dying.
Great question! Alex works an office job, but I have a few thoughts and suggestions that I hope are helpful 😊 I'm not sure what shoes you're currently wearing to work, but I think Vivos could be a good option! HOWEVER, I'm not sure how accustomed you are to barefoot shoes and their thin soles, but I think a little more cushion would be really beneficial. There's a company called NorthSole (northsole.co/) that reached out to me a few weeks ago and they sent me some insoles specific to Vivos to try out. I have to say, I'm really impressed with them and I think the 6mm insole they have would be a good fit for you! If you want more cushion, Altras might be another option! They don't have flexible soles, but they have a wide toe box, a zero drop heel, and lots of cushion. I hope this helps!
Have you tried the tracker womens boots yet? I live in WA and it rains 24/7, plus mud/dirt/snow etc is constant on the trails since the snow lingers until July or so. Would you recommend the bio ones for working out/everyday use and cross training? I am not sure about running since I am a new runner or as a hiking shoe.
I haven't, but I reaaaally want to try them out! My husband has one of the older trackers and he LOVES them. I would think these would be perfect for all the trails (crazy that there's still snow in July - meanwhile it's 90+ degrees in Texas 😂). The Primus Lite Bios are great for working out and everyday use. I actually just worked out in them this morning! I'd say the trackers would be better for hiking and the bios would be better for running. Hope this helps! 💜
How is the ventilation in these shoes? I want to buy a pair but I just hate shoes that don’t have proper ventilation and make your feet sweat and stink.
I've personally experienced good ventilation in these shoes. I feel like they're more breathable than the original Primus Lites (which they don't make anymore). However do keep in mind that I wear socks with my shoes - I know some people don't so definitely take my experience with a grain of salt!
Hi Laura! I am really about to get a pair of Primus Lite or Primus Lite II and I would love to know your thoughts on the difference between them... now that some time has passed. Have the Lite II gotten more flexible and are they as durable as the Primus Lite? Which ones would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
Hi Jorge! I hope you're doing well during this crazy time! I'd say the Lite IIs have gotten a little more flexible. They have held up really well and have maintained their shape. I'd say they've held their shape better than the regular Primus Lites but are similar in durability of that makes sense. While I think you can't go wrong with either one, I'd probably recommend the Primus Lite IIs mainly because the toe box feels a tad wider so they're slightly more comfortable. If you are looking for the most comfortable, I'd actually say go for the Primus Knits. I got those in the fall last year and I'm pretty obsessed with them. They're more casual than the Lites, but WOW do they feel amazing on your feet! I hope this helps! :)
@@BalancingLaura Awesome, thanks for the prompt reply. It's been crazy here in Spain, I also hope you're doing well during these crazy times. Actually spending all this time at home barefoot has convinced me to try minimalist/barefoot shoes. Thanks for the recommendation and wish you the best!
Hi thank you for sharing !! Do you always wear socks in them, or do you wear then just barefoot ? I just received my pair, i’m a 40 EUR size, I ordered 40L , they are comfy barefoot without any docka but my feet touch the end of the shoe. I dont think that will be good for running... i should probably change them for a size above, but just wanted feedback before I proceed. Do you feel they “”stretch out a bit” and get a little looser?
Hey Annie! I personally wear socks with them but I know not everyone does. It sounds like it'd be better to go a size up if your toes are touching the end of the shoe. Mine have held their shape really well so I wouldn't bet on them stretching out a ton. I've also found if I'm ever questioning whether a shoe is too small, I should probably return it. Main reason is because I end up not really wanting to wear them! Hope this helps! 💜
I have a few friends who have tried Xero shoes and had good things to say about them, but I haven't tried them myself (yet). I'm curious about them and am interested in sharing my opinion and doing a comparison between the two brands!
Hi Laura I’m wondering which size should I take , In some sport shoes I’m 7 (42) but sometimes I’m 6 1/2 (41) I want to buy the primas lite but I’m not sure if they are narrow or wide, or if they are large and I pick the 7 I would look as I was wearing a clown shoes with so much space in front. Hope you can share your experience, thank you so much.
Hey Carlos! I deal with a similar issue - I'm either a 7 or 7.5 depending on the brand. For the Primus Lites I'm a size 7.5 - the 7 is a little too small for my liking, and I'd rather have a tiny bit more space for my toes. The smaller size also felt slightly more narrow, which I didn't like. For the first pair I bought, I ordered the two different sizes and returned the ones that didn't fit. Returns weren't an issue at all and everything went smoothly. That'd probably be the safest bet if you're able! Hope this helps! :)
I've been using Vivos since years and they are my fav barefoot shoes. I especially like the Ultras in summer, because they are so effortless to slip on and off so that I can easily switch between real bare foot and some protection on natural trails.
Hi! Awesome review, I love the fact that you both presented your personal thoughts and experiences after a whole year of use! I was wondering: do you think the primus would endure some climbing or at least walks on uneven terrains with rocks or pieces of wood etc...? Like mountain trails for example
The Primus Lite would endure climbing and walks on uneven surfaces. If your not used to wearing thin shoes like these, be sure to first get used to them. The only times the shoe has worn out on me - having one pair for over a year with more than heavy use - has been when running hills specially downhill on pavement or concrete sidewalks. Other than that, the Primus Lite will last you for a while.
I've worked my way up to being able to wear barefoot shoes more comfortably on unnatural surfaces like concrete. The Primus Lite IIs (Recycled or Bio) are my favorite. There's a company called NorthSole that makes insoles specifically for barefoot shoes. They actually sent me some of their insoles to try out and I found that their 3mm insole helped me get used to unnatural surfaces and made the transition much more enjoyable. They also make a 6mm insole if you need more cushion but they're better for shoes like the Gobis. If you need even more cushion to start out, Altras are an option - they have a zero drop heel and a wide toe box with plenty of cushion (but not a very flexible sole). Hope this helps!
@@BalancingLaura thank you! I just started doing barefoot shoes and I really want to get a good pair. My first pair are okay but the primus looks really nice and flexible. But they're soo expensive! Maybe one day i can get a pair.
@@BalancingLaura don't know. Never tried them. I began a few years ago with New Balance, then Nike Barefoot, recently Merrell, and just bought Vibram fivefingers V-trail V2 I didn't try yet...
Iam a 72 year old woman who walks on sidewalks and pavement. I have been having trouble with my feet and was suggested to get barefoot shoes. I have tender feet since coming from wearing Brooks ghost with orthodics. Any suggestions. Carolyn .
Hi Carolyn! I'm so glad to hear you're considering barefoot shoes! I recommend checking out the book "Whole Body Barefoot" by Katy Bowman. It's a fantastic resource for transitioning to barefoot shoes. I also put together a video about the benefits of barefoot shoes and share a few tips for beginning the transition (towards the end). ruclips.net/video/84ce0FBnRC8/видео.html Basically, I'd suggest stretching out and strengthening your feet (there are lots of great exercises out there - Google will give you loads of ideas) and making an effort to walk around barefoot more often. Walking around your house or your backyard barefoot is a great place to start! If you want an "in between" shoe, I'd recommend checking out Altras. They have a wide toe box and a zero drop heel but still have a good amount of cushion. I actually got my parents to start wearing these and they're LOVING them! It's made the transition a more pleasant experience for them. I know this is a lot of information, but I hope it helps!
Balancing Laura Thank YOU so much for replying so quickly. Going with the Altra makes the most sense for me. I live in the Austin area and will be going to Karavel and/or REI Friday. (Both carry the Altra). I am happy I told you my age and my activities. I had been looking at the Sharma sandals, also. Wha do you think about them for me? Right now I wear Birkenstocks but a narrow. My best to you.
What a small world - I was traveling to Austin every week for work up until quarantine! I've never personally tried the Sharma sandals, but they look really nice and seem like they'd be a great shoe for summer! I'm in the market for some barefoot sandals (so I can get rid of my flip flops - those aren't great for your gait). I might have to get a pair for myself! Hope you're having a great week! 💜
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback! It's valid and you can use it! The only place it doesn't work is for items on sale. My only ask is that you don't post it on code sharing websites. 😊💜
Why are the Vivobarefoot more expensive than full-on leather designer laque shoes and even more expensive than shoes with soles like mountains. There is so much less material used but it's still twice as expensive as an average shoe... :(
This is a GREAT question and had wondered this myself a few years back. Basically it's because barefoot/minimal shoe companies don't produce or sell nearly as many shoes as bigger companies like Nike or Adidas do. I'm also thinking that even though barefoot shoe companies use fewer materials to make their shoes, those materials need to be higher quality (which cost more). I know that Vivo uses a lot of materials from more sustainable sources, which would also drive the cost up. Hope this helps! 😊
Thanks so much for the feedback!! You can use the code VBLO9QXK for 10% off your order - it's good for the next 48 hours! If you don't order during that time let me know and I can activate another code for you. :)
Wow, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! Curious to hear more about them wearing down so quickly. ☹️I will say that their customer service has greatly improved over the last year and a half, but there's always room for more improvement!
They're likely to release some new ones at some point (hopefully in the coming months)! In the meantime you can check out revivo.com - they now have a website for selling lightly used vivo shoes and I saw that they have some flats available! They do a good job of making sure the shoes are still high quality. Hope this helps! :)
Hi Laura in this video you were about to mention the differences between the mesh in both shoes and I'm really interested in this difference. I have toes that lift up and cross over and I need to mesh that's going to stretch and move. If you wouldn't mind hitting reply and letting me know that would be awesome! Rachael
Hey Rachael! So I made a point today to think about your question while I was wearing the Bios and hiking around New Hampshire (yay for a mini fall vacation)! Based on my experience, I've found them to provide plenty of room on the top of the shoe, but I'm also going to suggest trying out the Primus Knits. I just checked their website and they're currently out of stock, but I recently got a pair of these and they are AMAZING. I find the material to be super flexible and soft, so I think they'd be a great candidate as well! I hope this helps! 💜
@@BalancingLaura Thank you so much Laura! I am lucky enough to have a pair of the kenna knit hi in Apple Blossom and they are my absolute favourite. How does the Primus material on the top differ to the kenna or the knits is it the same knit material or is it harder? Sorry to ask another question... ♥ Thank you so much for your replies
Of course! Ahhhh those shoes look amazing - and I LOVE that Apple Blossom color. It looks like the material is very similar to the Primus Knits. I'd rank the top mesh/knit part from least to most flexible as follows: Primus Lites, the Primus Lite Bios, and the Primus Knits. I hope this helps!!
I found the ballet flats and the Gobi eco canvas shoes to run a little small. I had to go a half size up for the flats and took out the insert for the Gobi shoes. The Primus Lites are true to size. Hope this helps!
I have the Vivobarefoot EVO Pure and Stealth II WP (winter proof). I use the EVOs when I run (when I’m not running totally barefoot, that is), however, they’re so old and worn that they’re about to fall apart. I wonder how the Primus Lite fits compared to the fit of the EVOs. How are the Bios for breathability? I hate shoes that make my feet sweat. As for running in Vivobarefoot shoes... you have to change your running style in order to not slam your body. I highly suggest checking out Chi-Running. It changed my life.
Nice!! I've heard good things about the EVOs - do you find they fit pretty true to size? I'd say the Primus Lites fit pretty true to size. I've found the Bios to be a tad wider, which is definitely a positive thing. I've also found the breathability to be pretty good. I live in Texas and they've been fine in the 100+ degree heat and 80% humidity. I wear thin socks with them (and all of my shoes) and I find that helps my feet from sweating and stinking up my shoes. :) I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a strong runner, but I'll have to check out Chi-Running - it sounds amazing! Thanks for the recommendation!
I actually used to use the 5 finger shoes for slacklining and didn't like them that much. It felt like my toes were getting stuck on the line, so Vivos work much better for me!
The worse thing you can do is run on concrete, especially with footwear like the stupid vivobarefoot design footwear. If you suffer from bone disease with constant pain 24/7, footwear anything like this is bad for full stop. Most of us live in a concrete society, where footwear like these is ultimately bad for your feet.
Top tip for barefoot running. For those of you who have to run or stand for long periods on “man made” surfaces, it’s important to slowly re-train your stride from a predominantly heel strikeing stride to a foot forward flat foot or rebound stride. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Good to see they've held up decently after a year. I got the lite as well and use it for work and they're lasting just fine after 10 months.
That's great!! I'm glad they're holding up well for you, too. I'm curious to see how the Bio material holds up after a year compared to the regular Primus material. :)
Great review by both of you. I love to hear/see both your experiences. Definitely got what I was looking for!
Thank you so much!! That's great to hear! We're both such big fans of their shoes 😂
Wildling shoes have flex in the middle which might help you with slacklining. They seem to be one of the most flexible minimal options

I'd say definitely get barefoot/minimalist sandals like Shamma Warriors.
Leguano Active are ultra-flexible but that's because of the cushiony rubber they're made of; and cushion ruins movement habits. They're also narrow since they're unisex, even though I got a size up.

I was wearing BOC clogs, which have a wide(ish) toe box, but the hard sole was murder on my feet, legs, and lower back. .
Thanks for the honest review :)
@@BalancingLaura Oh fab! Followed you on Instagram so il DM you when I get them. And if I ever make it across the pond then il be sure to hit you up!
How long does it take to transition?
Hi love the content , I was wondering do you have any recommendations for barefoot work boots for a construction worker like myself
I think they might be what you're looking for and I was particularly impressed with how easy they made choosing the right size.
Here's the link if you're interested in checking them out: ruclips.net/video/RgOtLe5eOrE/видео.html
Hope this helps!
How would you compare the fit of the new bios you got in this video to other primus lites you have purchased?
Great question! The bios feel WAY better than the original Primus Lites that had more of that fabric material. The new Primus Lites (like the IIs and the IIIs) feel just like the bios and I really don't notice a difference. LOVE these shoes and still wear them today!
i thought the side by side comparison was gonna be against the cushion.
Hi, I’m size 8.5 womens I’m wondering if I should get 8- 9? Any suggestions thanks!
I'd recommend sizing up to a 9 😊 In the past, I've ordered two sizes and returned the one that didn't fit - that's probably the safest bet!
@@BalancingLaura thanks☺️
I have to take the removal insole out of these to get on with them and make them fit perfect! Hope that's ok eeeekk
Thanks for the review! I’m a size 7 and down to buy a previously worn pair. 😁
Maybe my Gobis would fit you better than they fit me!! ;)
It might be extremely superficial, but I came for the beautiful smile on the thumbnail.
Padded but minimalistic? I think you just have to learn how to walk with them.
Great review! Very helpful.
Thank you! So glad you found it helpful! 😊
Using your vivo's until they are broken would be more sustainable than buying a new bio shoe now.
Thank you, I ordered today shoes with your code, thank you very much!!!
I'm so glad it worked! Excited to hear what you think!!
Here are the ones we use: www.amazon.com/Natural-Purifying-Deodorizer-Eliminator-Non-Toxic/dp/B071YLSWHW/ref=asc_df_B071YLSWHW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198101413345&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4833321274851019699&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028279&hvtargid=aud-801381245258:pla-349639766839&psc=1
Hope this helps!
Not to get into it too much, but what type of work does the guy do? I work at a warehouse in a retail store for roughly 40 hours a week. Would these do well there? Because, as it stands, my feet are dying.
Great question! Alex works an office job, but I have a few thoughts and suggestions that I hope are helpful 😊
I'm not sure what shoes you're currently wearing to work, but I think Vivos could be a good option!
Would you recommend these are true to size?
Yes! I'd say the Primus Lites are true to size. If you're between sizes I would size up. 😊
Love the video!
Thank you!! Really appreciate the feedback! :)
@@BalancingLaura thanks for the feedback
Have you tried the brand name Xero shoes? I'm curious to see your opinion on them.
I have a few friends who have tried Xero shoes and had good things to say about them, but I haven't tried them myself (yet). I'm curious about them and am interested in sharing my opinion and doing a comparison between the two brands!
@@BalancingLaura I think that would make a great video.
Great video! Isn't it too late to ask for a discount code?
Thank you so much! You can use my code LAURAR10 💜
I am the same I prefer to get the smaller size and take insole out for perfect fit, otherwise they are too long!!
Nice review, looking to upgrade so big help.
Great to hear! Thanks so much and I'm glad I could help! :)
I've been using Vivos since years and they are my fav barefoot shoes. I especially like the Ultras in summer, because they are so effortless to slip on and off so that I can easily switch between real bare foot and some protection on natural trails.
I haven't tried the Ultras yet but what you're saying about them really makes me want to try them out! Thanks for mentioning them!
I like the new ones.
I loved my primus lite but they didn’t last as long as I would like and the sides got tears in them😭
Aww that's such a bummer!! I'm sad to hear that! Hopefully the Primus Lite Bio shoes hold up better! Fingers crossed!
What shoe do you wear for unnatural surfaces?
V2 seem wider for the toes. don't you think ?
Yes I do!! I think I prefer the extra width. What about you?!
@@BalancingLaura don't know. Never tried them.
I began a few years ago with New Balance, then Nike Barefoot, recently Merrell, and just bought Vibram fivefingers V-trail V2 I didn't try yet...
I'd try both.
I also put together a video about the benefits of barefoot shoes and share a few tips for beginning the transition (towards the end). ruclips.net/video/84ce0FBnRC8/видео.html
Basically, I'd suggest stretching out and strengthening your feet (there are lots of great exercises out there - Google will give you loads of ideas) and making an effort to walk around barefoot more often.
@@carolynlapota5495 I know this comment is a year old and I am very curious how the shoes worked out for you?

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback!
It's valid and you can use it! The only place it doesn't work is for items on sale. My only ask is that you don't post it on code sharing websites. 😊💜
@@BalancingLaura Hi Laura, of course I will not post. I tried with it on the german site, maybe therefore it does not work. Thank you very much.
Does the bio feel more wide?
Actually they do feel a little wider in the toe box area (in a good way)!
Balancing Laura good to know! That confirms what I’ve heard other people say.
Thanks for the video. Good review and I'd like to get a pair. Would I be able to get the discount code Vivo gave you?
Thanks so much for the feedback!!
You can use the code VBLO9QXK for 10% off your order - it's good for the next 48 hours! If you don't order during that time let me know and I can activate another code for you. :)
@@BalancingLaura Thank you :) Just used it!
Hooray!! Absolutely! Eager to hear how you like them!
I Highly recommend not buying vivo. My vivo barefoot shoes wore down after 2.5 month. I asked for reclamation / but vivo customer service dont care.
Wow, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! Curious to hear more about them wearing down so quickly. ☹️I will say that their customer service has greatly improved over the last year and a half, but there's always room for more improvement!
It says on their website they have a 100day, no quibble, returns policy. Did they uphold this?
strawberryjambuster from what I’ve heard, they have honored that return policy. 😊
Hey Hun, Alex here XD
They dont have the ballet shoe anymore!
I hope this helps!!
hi can i get a discount code?
Absolutely! Just got my discount code fixed and LAURAR10 should be working now 😊
Let me know if you encounter any issues!
Toe dungeon 😂
Are they true size?
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a strong runner, but I'll have to check out Chi-Running - it sounds amazing! Thanks for the recommendation!
Balancing Laura The EVOs seem to fit a bit smaller, however, that’s okay because they fit my foot perfectly.
Good video. You picked size 7,5 right? What is your length of your feet? Thanks for helping me pick a pair
Thanks so much! Finally found a tape measurer and they're about 22cm - hope this helps! :)

Wouldn't vibrams be better for your slacklining exercise
I actually used to use the 5 finger shoes for slacklining and didn't like them that much. It felt like my toes were getting stuck on the line, so Vivos work much better for me!
Did anyone else think the way Alex said shoe was as if he was a acting like a Frenchman ?
The hight tops looks like your feet will sweet like crazy.
The new ones look like the toe box is a better shape. The orange ones look too narrow and almost pointed.
Yes! I agree - it's subtle but I think it makes a big difference!
Toe dungeon indeed
This has helped me run w/ minimalist shoes on concrete: ruclips.net/video/Jio7DK15Q1E/видео.html
Originals look better
The more vegan shoes one buys the better it is for the environment... I am not sure, if it works that way...
Are you married
Sure am!
