RIP Lynsey de Paul never forgotten. Just 2 years after this gig she was taken from us.
A real collection of national treasures. I would have loved to have been at that gig. Doesn't Lynsey look GORGEOUS!!!
Too right she does. No doubt like loads of other red blooded blokes who saw this clip, I was just thinking that exact same thing myself while watching it. She looks hotter than active volcano here. YUMMY!!!!
Yes, this was an amazing thing. Slade, T.Tex, Lindsay. And Tony. Oh my god, it’s fifty years now.
Shocked to hear of Lynsey De Paul's death, a very talent lady..R.I P.
Yea a great warm welcome for Noddy from Marc Bolans fans out of total respect, as T.Rex fans we all recognise that chart rivalry of the early 70s with Slade and i don't think they could have asked anyone bigger than Noddy Holder to show recognition and appreciation to Marc Bolan. Thanks Noddy.
Warms the heart. Noddy Holder. a great singer in a great band.
I had such a crush on Lindsay back in the day! She is looking great here 😂
Noddys appreciation of Marc quite surprised me as there was rivalry between the fans in 72/73, however I bought the Girls School single 20th Century Boy and when I noticed it was produced by Holder/Lea I was so pleased. Respect to Noddy!
Noddy best vocal Ever
Noddy can still wipe up the crowd and sounds great such a shame Dave and Don couldn't leave there school boy differences in the play ground otherwise Noddy and Jim with a stack of amps would of joined them for once last blast . Hats off for Noddy for trying a few years ago he was the one who fronted and carried Slade through the lean times on his own money and loved the band. I wish Noddy all the best for him and his family. Good health and happy times thanks for the memories and keep on rockin . God Bless you all Slade nutters.
Marc was pure magic authentic poet the bongo beat...UK music was GREATin Spain those times
Wish this had gone on a bit longer. The string section had just started "There Was A Time". What a brilliant way to open the show.
НОДИ МЫ ТЕБЯ ПОМНИМ, И НЕЗАБУДЕМ ....НЕ КОГДА.
Absolutel TOP DRAW POST!!!!!!.Rip Paula....I lived near Marc's parents in putney...with the white Rolls outside the concil flat where they live...and VERY sadly paula was taken away from us too,too soon...again...GREAT POST
thanks noddy you are a legend like marc. top man. slade were great also and lynsey love sugar me top girl
If noddy & jim lea ever got back for a one off gig with dave & jim at perhaps glastonbury they'd utterly convert a whole generation of tennagers and 20 somethings who'd never have heard slade's music before (except merry xmas which is unavoidable in december)
Do t you mean Don, he were a part of it too .
@@neilfranklin5644 That was clearly a typo on his part.
Never understood why they cannot film these tribute concerts professionally.
Just from the way Nod screamed at the audience, it was evident that his rock 'n' roll voice is still there. Och well, he's retired and that's that. Long live Slade in whatever form Dave and Don want it to be :)
My crazy loving late Dad took me to see Slade in mid 1975 at Bristol Colstern Hall , (i think the support act was called "Bunny"?), Slade came on the stage with the drummer carrying a giant "Wriggleys Spearmint Gum" packet.
They sang the first "Thanks For The Memory" and the second "Far Far Away".
We then had to leave as Dad felt faint.
The quality of the track was identical to the single.
For a um ( "youbo ) pop band ? OH DEAR WHAT A LOVELY GROUP OF MUSICIANS / MEN !!
Yes, the gentleman Noddie Holder will remember him shouting "ALRIGHT ??, OUR NEW TRACK WAS BANNED , BUT WE'RE GOING TO SING IT WITH THE DIRTY BITS IN"
I was 10 years of age, and they were just LOVELY !!
THANKS FOR THE MEMORY !!
That support band might have been Kenny (they of The Bump 'fame'). God, they were bollocks! Slade, on the other hand, were great, and should have been bigger for longer.
Damn 😍
Fantastic. I've got a copy of Top of the Pops Vol. 26 in my collection which has "Children of the Revolution" as the opening cut on Side 1 followed by "Sugar Me". One of my fave records ever. :-)
Sugar Me is brilliant, but hardly anyone seems to remember it . . .
How generous of Lyndsey and Noddy to remember Marc from the old days.
Marc was going to do a music venture with my hero Robert Calvert called "Earth Ritual" i believe, Robert said he almost crashed at that bend the week before Marc did
Classic ! x
...noddy speaking...great 👍🤦♂️
Wow this is almost to good to be true:')...
The greatest rock voice. Sir v hol>>>>>
Not happy the tribute band cut off
Tony Visconti: Quiet please i am about to conduct the orchestra
Drunk woman in Audience: *GO FORRIT!!*

Noddy Holder is Dorset's greatest rock star.
GreenerHill Noddy Holder was from Wolverhampton!
Noddy holder and jim lea will never rejoin this Dream will never happen not now and not in the future lets just enjoy what Dave hill and Don powell are giving us now I know its not to some slade fans taste ELA Rock my be the nearest we get Noddy holder and jim lea who knows what the future might hold for Slade only dave hill and don powell know that ?.
No
I was hoping Noddy might have sung a bit. Shame.
yes still looks good doesnt she
Bless Marc for giving some of his loyalties to help songwriters
Noddy and Lyndsey look great
This is quite tantalising. Noddy still sounds great, still the showman effortlessly whipping up the crowd. God I wish he would get that guitar on again and get playing, he'd be great in 2013. Slade at Glasto!
I'm sure that Slade would have wiped the floor with the competition !
Sir Noddy,great!!!
Don't stop there!!!
