What I do is, pay more than the minimum and then request the credit limit to be reduced. As such, there is never money on the card. If there is, I lower the credit limit and capitalise it.
I love that, I started doing the same yazi 🥰it helped me a lot.
And if discipline is a problem, you can ask the bank to “lock” the account such that you can only pay into it but nothing comes out of it. I’ve done this with an FNB CC before. And it will still allow you to reduce the limit whenever you’ve paid into it
I took my credit card out my purse because it gave me this false sense that I have money. Whereas I started off well where I only bought things that I knew I had budgeted for and could settle. I had gotten to a point were all my disposable income would settle the card meaning I have nothing to spend for the month, meaning I end up using the card.
So I settled it, this month I will survive with the little disposable income left after settling credit card. Then month end I will start laybying the furniture I want instead of taking it with the credit card
I love that you have seen your challenge when it comes to having a credit card. Continue being intentional with your finances and you will save yourself from so much financial stress. I love that you are choosing to lay-by instead of using debt to purchase your furniture 💐🥰

I am you shame. But I reported my card as missing and the bank blocked it. That's when i found out that I can't use the facility, I can only pay. If I need to use the facility I have to physically go to the bank and apply for a new card... it's helping me a lot.
It helps a lot to not have easy access to credit. It will help you push.

YES THE PROBLEM START WHEN YOU USE A MINIMUM PAYMENT AND YOUR CREDIT CARD GOES TO 103% OVER THE CREDIT WICH IS BAD FOR YOUR CREDIT SCORE , VERY BAD

When you pay into it, go and decrease the credit limit. In some banks you can do this on the app.

The best thing to so when it comes to investing is to not be moved when assets go down or up. I don’t invest based on how the asset is performing because I am investing for long term, every month I invest on the same asset low or not. The market always adjusts it self. But I also understand that we don’t have the same approach to investing. I can’t say much about the other approaches to investing.

Hi! 😊, Keep paying the minimum of what you are required to pay, if you get extrat income pay into lesikweletu esincane. But do not stop paying for anything or paying less than what you are supposed to pay as this will affect your credit score. If possible go to your bank and see if they can’t consolidate everything into one, and if the installment gets to be lower than what you are paying please pay it into the debt so you can push it. If your debt is with standard bank please look into other banks.
