The thought that came to my mind... we have no idea of the talents of those people we walk alongside or pass during our scurrying about each day.
I have a particular skill set that I cannot demonstrate. my talent is to do that stuff with complete detachment.
Yes, Richard, they walk among us and we usually don't know what wonderful things they've done or what pain they've endured. I think this performance had something of a unifying effect.

Fifty years ago my Dad, who did not drive, insisted I take him a hundred miles to help host a PBS fundraising telethon. While I was there Nana Mouskouri was ushered in by a local promoter she was in town for and persuaded to sing. She had a quick chat with a pianist and then performed the most amazing Ave Maria I ever heard without rehearsal. I have never forgotten her, and I never argued when Dad asked me to take him the next time.
If I could I would give this clip a hundred thumbs up.
We played the Ave as my beautiful wife walked in for our wedding. Stunning memories.

Nice to see Nijmegen once more. I was with British forces in Germany just over the border from there in the mid 60's. I spent a lot of my leisure time in Nijmegen. I remember with great affection a young girl by the name of Wilma. We shared a brief romance.
I visited Nijmegen during my RAF service in West Germany 1965-1967. Great times.

This was my dads favorite song. He has been gone over 20 years and brings back great memories watching him listening to it.
I had a similar experience at a railway station in London, I was on my way to catch my train when I walked by a guy playing beautifully on the piano. I stopped to listen to him and just took the next train even if I had to wait for almost 20 minutes.

Unfortunately for me I'm a human being, but I am so fed up with people 😢 that's why I wish that were not a human being. I'm a very good hearted person. With all that I know, I'd much rather not be a human being, I am a disabled veteran but our government doesn't seem to care about veterans. I have a lonely existence because I have no one to love that would love me back. I'm a gay male asexual and a HOMOROMANTIC also I don't have anyone to talk to on my level, I'm not putting anyone down it's just that no one can understand the things that I talk about. Sometimes I feel like ending my life, the world is not fit for a person like me to live in.
