Often, the “Part 2” of a project is a somewhat lesser version of the first part. It’s leftover bits that weren’t considered good enough to include in Part 1, or just more of the same. But occasionally, a “Part 2” comes along that is not only just as good as the first, but surpasses it in various ways. For me, this album is the superior work- it doesn’t take away from Part 1, but goes to different places while building on what Part 1 achieved. It’s comparable (merit-wise) to “The Empire Strikes Back”, where so many others are just “The Matrix Reloaded”. Fantastic job as always, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next Lovecraft-themed project- my deepest thanks to every artist involved in this one! PS- 1 year after leaving this comment, I just reread it and felt that I needed to clarify that I wasn’t speaking about Part 1 and Part 2 of any of their prior Lovecraft-themed albums. I was referring to other artists and their works- in whatever forms of media they are presented in, whether that’s music, films, visual art or literature. Cryo’s 2 part Lovecraft albums are always impressive in both parts. I just happened to really enjoy this part 2 in particular.
And so here we are where ever we all ended up. I think sometimes experiences have no application. They are just encounters you have along the way. Well done Cryo Chamber
Dark Ambient does not get much better than that , mechanical , alienish intemporal infinite space ...getting lost in my imagination , falling into facination of my mental scenarios , like a ritual when listening to good ambient music .
I wouldn't have thought "YIG" the snake god would have had such beautiful ambient music in it's sound-scape. Wonderful to paint along to ... at 12:00 midnight and a few hours afterwards. THANK YOU, CRYO - Chamber for another wonderful piece of ambient music.
I have mentioned this before, but I am curious as to why there hasn't been a Dagon collaboration yet. He is the first Old One Lovecraft wrote about, after all. Tsao-Thoggua is another Old One yet to be included.
@@BluJean6692 Dagon overlaps with Cthuhlu thematically, it could present an opportunity to extend or remaster the first album to match the length of the later albums.
Hell there's loads of Deities, and enough popular Monsters that I could see them doing those too. Nightgaunts, Ghouls, Dimensional Shamblers, just off the top of my head. If they wanna keep these up, I see no reason they can't.
What IS fiction but a blind one accounting for the horrible things they have witnessed? All is and isn't real. It's schrodinger's cat. Even we both exist and do not until it is proven by something else.
I never ask a man what his business is, for it never interests me. What I ask him about are his thoughts and dreams.

A bleak opus... This is profound work. Many congratulations to everyone involve. This shall outlive us all...

Just curious: are these collaborations going to take place every year? Is there even enough mythos to go around? I certainly hope so.

considering that Yig is lesser known and they haven't done "Dagon" yet I think we can look forward to many more...

What exactly is this? I came across this a few days ago and I'm curious to know about it.
It's a music album. A collaboration of many artists working under Cryo Chamber label. This is the second part and the genre of music is dark ambient.
Thanks.....it's very interesting.
