A portion of the ruins at Fort Funston in San Francisco slid down a rain-soaked bluff onto the beach below, authorities said Monday.

Coastal defense bunkers went in 1942. Not bad for something that heavy sitting on a sand cliff for 80 years. Replaced by Nike sites around the Bay area in the 50's. Looks like they didn't use rebar on it or the whole structure may have come down.🤨

Wow, I have a picture of that cement box I took from the bottom when I was walking 🚶‍♂️ on the beach just so that I could see how it used to look in case it falls someday It was already in the edge of the cliff oh and that huge rusty metal thing behind
