I learned on RUclips...Use the Pink Coolant.
New Technology and last 5 years. Also tell size of Drain plug. 10mm
It's recommended to flush the system first, before putting in new Coolant.

If he had an empty coolant can, he could have cut the plastic and made a shield and put it between the frame housing into the bowl and it wouldn't have shot out. Did it to mine and not a drop of coolant hit the ground.

I removed the dirt and grease on the bike with gear oils. That's it, no special product at all.
One thing to be added; cooler reservair tank also should be filled. Radiator tank capacity is 1.6 lt and reservair tank' cap. İs 0.4 ... İt is enough to buy 1 liter cooler and another 1 liter poor water

Many thanks for your video. Very helpful! I just purchased a '97 Shadow 600 like yours and I'm in the process of changing all the fluids. Today, I checked the small coolant reservoir tank and it was empty. So, per the owners manual, I added some pre-mixed Honda coolant using the small filler tube. None of it went into the tank...it just ran out a small rubber tube that sticks out below the bike frame near the overflow tank. His this tube come loose somewhere? I can find no mention of it in any of the manuals. Many thanks!
Your problem might be the rubber coolant line clogged or not connected to the overflow tank.

what's your opinion on using Prestone clean flush then adding coolant.
Depends on you but I don't think it's necessary. Most of the time, drain and fill should be enough.
I went through your videos and this it the very next where it shows the windshield already mounted. Do you have the link for the windshield? My windshield is not as tall and wide as yours.
Sorry, the windshield came with the bike when I've purchased it used.

@claudioelias8285 brand is National Cycle Street Shield EX. I cannot find the part number but I did measure it. It's about 21 inches in height. Hope that helps.

When you start the bike and the coolant disaper a bit do you fil it upp more when the bike is on?
Just don't go over the top line. Anywhere between the bottom and top line should be fine.
Okej so in the video you dident fill it upp more when you turn on the bike?
It looked like the coolant dissapered when you turn it on then it was full again?
@@christiansson100 you're correct, engine off is when you check to see if you needed to add more coolant.
Great video, but DO NOT USE regular coolant!!! It has to be made for motorcycles. They thake out some stuff that eats away the seals over time. Honda has a new coolent that is blue. Its great for ALL motorcycles.
Tell me about that stand to lift your bike in the air
Called a motorcycle cruiser center stand lift jack. I got it from Amazon but you can find it anywhere online. It works just like a scooter center stand and it very stable if you needed to do maintenance on your motorcycle.

What are you using to put the bike up? It looks lime some sort of jack, not a center stand? Do you have a link to it?
It's called a motorcycle cruiser center stand lift or jack similar to a scooter center stand. You can find it online.

Modern car coolant should work fine with motorcycle.

Please don’t use that coolant, it’s chemical compound will waste your gaskets
You can get honda 50/50 coolant for about $8 a bottle at your honda dealer if wanted.
