Prince's song writing is so exceptional we forget how much of a guitar virtuoso he is. Prince is a very underrated guitar player.
Prince is Prince. There will be only one ever. What this man did to the music industry, to everyone, future generations is just remarkable. We all miss this true genius!
So under rated..Prince owned that stage..R.I.P
LEGENDARY
I miss you Prince, the World IS not the same, without you...😢😢😢
I'm a drummer.Prince was an artist, musician, songwriter&played every instrument there is.Im so blessed to have seen him live(purple rain tour)at that time I was a hard core Metalhead. That concert changed my taste in music&opened up Funk,R&B,Soul to me.Rip Icon!!!
Remember getting stoned and watching a prince concert on TV once and I was blown away as a metalhead, he absolutely blew me away
And Sheila E is a beast of a drummer
I'm guessing the concert you watched was circa 1988...P was at the height of his guitar game
@@redman9037 that was the 2nd time in 88.
I was a long haired metal head back in hs.
2 preppy girls ask me if i wanted to see Prince.I was really reluctant, could not pas s on 2/of rich chicks.
Man,i was just blown away at the show&how funky dude was.
He did the purple solo&i was just floored
Have you seen his Super Bowl performance in the rain? Iconic.
@redman9037
@luvmedrums4057 the fact that Prince did all that crazy dancing and playing around the stage in those high heels was wild too. The concert of his that I saw was insane.
Prince could play any instrument and was a Master of many!
When I hear Prince play guitar during this video, the hair stands up on my arms. What a genius!!!!!!!!
Prince was fluent in over 20 instruments.
JESUS...I HAD NO, NO, NO FREAKING IDEA OF THIS...
(THANK YOU FOR RELAYING SUCH UPLIFTING INFORMATION)...
🤯❤🤯❤🤯❤🤯❤🤯❤🤯❤🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Yes. He was a perfectionist too! I love Prince, I cried so much when this hero of mine died. 😢
Blah blah blah
You know I’ve heard this said many times over the years but never seen any footage to support the claim. Only seen him play keys, guitar, bass, and drums. Like he did on his first album release Ms. Still very impressive but not the large number of instruments that people claim. So far it’s just heresay.

20 years later, and we're still in awe at his performance .
There's much more technicalities to his solo. Worth looking up.
Not in awe at all. He was being a stage hog
@@wrmhall4735 He got the nod
@@wrmhall4735I get what you’re saying, he was showing out some too but, all and AWE those group celebrity tributes need someone to step up and stand out and bring the crowd to their feet in AWE. Prince was the most prepared and did it! Damn drugs took him and Petty, too!
not stage hogging amongst friends. And as an inductee, that night he was uniquely qualified to pay tribute to George.
I watched Samantha Fish stage hog Buddy Guy at a show and Buddy said something to the effect of "when shit like this happens I could play all night..."
I think the rest of the band felt that way in 04 too.
Music Brings together Generations.... Definitely All- Star Musician's.❤
Imagine thinking people want to hear you talk instead of Prince play the guitar. The balls on you man.
😂 Right
Prince asked them if he could solo last. They told him he could do whatever he wanted to do.
guitar wept only once in history .... during the end part of song November Rain (guns n' roses)
Google ...Shhh Prince Detroit 2004....Guitar Solo is 🔥🔥
@@mi1400 No.
Everyone needs to listen to this version! Awesomeness 👌 👏
Prince Owned That Stage🧐
Yeah he did...😮
I wonder if anybody seen that comin' knownin how out of the blue type of guy he was probably not😊
don’t know about owned.. yet surely pro
Prince owned every stage he was on ❤🎉😎🤟🙏
Alot of people forget prince was an absolute legend on the guitar.. and getting that sound out of a telecaster.. brother how
I am so grateful that I found their music. It feels like divine providence. Thank you God and thank you Dirty Loops!
One of the best performances
No crushed egos here, enjoying playing together,Prince in the flow. Watch the whole song.. it's a beautiful thing.❤❤❤
Indeed. Harrison has many great songs. This is my favorite from the epic white Album!
That was one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard and had the pleasure to watch, And I am a 72-year-old rocker
Keep on truckin' man!
Awesome
Agree 100%
Yawn

Prince was on a whole different level and all his music is charmed with passion !!!
RIP the Artist....
Prince has merely transitioned. His music and aura remain indelibly etched in our minds.❤❤❤❤❤
Loved this performance!
Exceptional in their own rights but exemplenary together.
Prince was so far beyond us.. a creature of music.. he thought in tone and cadence and felt in keys and harmonies .. we witnessed something truly amazing and special. For him to pay tribute to another being.. spoke volumes and meant more than any hall or plaque could ever convey.
Truly a man with two brains.
Beautifully expressed 💜
Beautifully worded compliment
Yeah? I thought Purple Rain really sucked. Prince trying to be a tough guy on his purple motorcycle. And then, the songs.
Underwhelming pop. He was full of himself on and off stage, not a fan and never will be. He's gone get over it.🤣
@@sahb7834 you’re a troll.. and you need to find the door.
There can ONLY be ONE
Rest in Paradise....
PURPLE 1💜
I've loved this performance for many years now and still watch it multiple times a year. Phenomenal rendition by everyone on that stage and yes Prince killed it but collectively everyone did as well... absolutely beautiful!
I so cried ❤
The cool thing was George's son gave Prince the nod to keep going
The cooler thing was that Prince asked with a look..
Why do kids of famous musicians/actors think they can command the same respect as their famous parents? That kid was out of his league!!
@@vbrewster4444 first off, it was a tribute to his father, 2nd the kid has chops. Being famous or not famous is it an automatic indication of skill. The people who he is playing with were all friends of his father and they wanted him there and he held his own. Hell he's be playing almost as long as he has been alive.
@@vbrewster4444Nobody can leave up to The Beatles so it's always an unfair comparison. That being said, George's son, Dhani, is a very good and respectable musician in his own right, he definetely does his father proud
Prince was Prince. Unique. Period. Miss him so much ❤
Prince was a gem of a guitarist. He definitely did not get the attention and the accolades that he definitely deserved as one of the best guitarists of his day. This one show should have shown how great he was.
I have watched/listened to this solo at least 20 times throughout the years and still get goosebumps
This was so 🔥
Beautifully done
That is a legendary solo right there
so much love and respect with a truly magical performance. so many here missed
Prince shined brilliantly❤Too excellent for words❤
Wow! They all got skills and Prince really is gifted!❤
I can't believe how good Prince was, legend.
Awesome performance by Prince. They say when he is really into it his facial expressions are prevalent. 🍻☮️
