    Basically if Kyrie shows up it might be competitive. If he doesn’t, then issa sweep.

      The game was most certainly an outlyer with Kyrie playing poorly. He'll def play better going forward. But he's consistently struggled against the Celtics perimeter defense. Dude has been awesome this playoffs, and I'm happy for him after how the media used him as a punching bag. But Ant ain't the same kind of defensive beast as Jrue and D White. Not yet anyways.

    Browns improvement this season is one of the reason for their success. JT willing to do whatever it takes (still hope he can drive more), Joe being a coach more this season and not just a bystander, KP unicorn magic dust & the defensive dawg in jrue holiday & his timely post ups and threes without all the bad shot taking from Marcus smart, white the best roaming point guard and 4th qtr clutch assassin, all the way LETS GO!!

    I'm interested to see what the Mavs are going to switch up. They played Tatum the same way they played PG, SGA and Ant, but they haven't had to worry about the rest of the team like they do with the Celtics.

    • @drexelspivey872
      @drexelspivey872 21 день назад +4

      So what you switch it up and allow Tatum to put up 35 a game while Luka’s confidence dwindles and he’s sucking wind while getting wore the fuck out by jb?
      I just don’t think the mavericks have a feasible, repeatable way to beat the Celtics 4 out of the 6 next games

      I think they honestly just do whatever worked for them in the first game outside of the first quarter. That was what put the game out of reach cuz besides that the game scoring by quarter was pretty even and Mavs (not by much though) out scored the Celtics. They lost to the clippers by 20 game 1 and to OKC by 20+ game 1. It’s all about effort and adjustments. Boston while great plays one way so the right team and coach figures that out like the Mavs have and i guarantee we will see a different game tomorrow.

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 21 день назад +1

      @@ILLWill1027So just hope Boston misses? Because that's what worked. Boston missed the open threes instead of making them.
      Boston plays one way but that one way is incredibly flexible. You help, they get a three. You don't help, they get a layup.
      There are basically two ways to slow them down.
      1) is to just have five great defenders who can hold up in one-on-one matchups which obviously Dallas doesn't have
      2) is to do what Denver does and trap and full rotate or switch on every ball screen to drain the clock then make _them_ go one-on-one *late* in the clock.
      But Dallas can't switch Luka and Kyrie so they have to trap and rotate but that isn't something you just do. It takes a high level of coordination and practice

    Can talk all day about C’s plan to limit lobs and corner 3’s, allowing above the break 3’s, their underrated rim protection etc etc etc.
    But Boston’s rebounding esp on the offensive glass was so key. It was 10-10 on OREB. But Boston’s just felt so timely and key.
