Throwing a TUNA POPPER in Lake Pontchartrain to catch GIANT fish!

I have always heard of these giant fish coming into the lake during the summer so I decided to head out and give them a shot.

Nice work , I haven’t seen that view in over 60 years now , we used to catch mule trout out by SeaBrook on queen bingo’s out by the baulk head right where you are now , thanks for sharing this , makes me happy to see this place once again

What kinda setup are you using to catch the jacks.

I was using a 3000 series reel) switched to a 5000 for the second one because I didn’t like the h2ox braid on the first one). The rod was an ancient ugly stick, it’s the heaviest rod I have haha. Spooled with 80# braid with an 80# mono leader.
