I have always been the type of guy you pay more get a better bow so I didn't even consider the embark at first knowing it was one of the cheaper bows. But I picked it up and shot it for the kicks of it and man I fell in love had to cancel my plans for the v3 and buy the embark... truly a amazing bow and you can't wait to chase some game with it this year
I brought my Embark as a "backup" bow to my PSE Xpedite. I was amazed how good this bow is an appsolute tack driver. Plus I ordered mine and got it in 2 weeks all the way here to the UK. All in all a great bow. 😁
Just got one other day set up yesterday first shot through paper bullet hole.last bow i had had shim cams twist yokes get it to tune.really like this bow
I'm with yah on the lime green. Camo strings and a mellower green or dead leaf brown on the limbs, that would be a beauty. I like the riser flat green.
Looking forward to the pse evo evl, I think pse is becoming at the front of the archery game and getting the popularity now! Oh and finally you got a lefty bow for your reviews lol
PSE is the very last company to ship the new bows. I'm so waiting and on the list to be called as soon as they arrive. The Rolling Stones had "Paint it Black", I'm more a paint it green guy. LOL to each his own. Nice review. Keep it up. I enjoy them.
Another good review, I've been thinking about going for the Drive NXT and not spend the extra money for the Embark but I thought I would wait for your review. I hoped you would say some small bad thing about the Embark so I would save money. But i like a FLOU GREEN string looking like I'm not going save money. Keep the reviews coming.
PSE has been the only brand that I’ve shot (not to say that I would not try any other brand) but I have not had any problems or issues with the Litespeed I had or the Drive R I have now
Dang that bear comment hurt at the end. I been shooting a bear for 8 years... but now im just waiting for my ventum 33 lh to get to my bow shop. I can't wait to feel the difference! Another great video. Nice to see you shoot a lefty. Your videos amaze me when you can pull a rh 70# bow.
Great review! I am just now settling into my Embark and love it. Traded Vertix for the Embark, which is more comfortable than the Vertix IMO. You and the guys at Elevated Outdoor Co convince me.
I could be incorrect, but was there any serving to protect the string at the cable roller? I have an ntn evo 33 and it was served there. Im curious to if there's any accelerated wear there. Love the videos! Keep it up!
Fantastic review!! I'm sure that comment about Bear archery hurt some feelings, they actually make a great bow for the money!! Looking forward to the EVO EVL video!
Hey hey Fred Bear was one of a kind I used to watch him on ABC WILD WORLD OF SPORTS He is the reason I shoot bows Good video young man, no disrespect to you
Hey Cal, been a while man. I was hyped on this bow...then John released it with PSE and I was OVERWHELMINGLY disappointed in it in every possible way. Well, except price point and 2 other features. He pretty much forced me out of buying when he said " Plastic limb seats", literally, that's a wrap on that option as I would prefer to NOT have carbon shoot slivers through my forearm as it explodes. I don't get the push on such high brace heights over the last 2 years either, but he is SUPER big on the same laymen " it's more forgiving" instead of being more concerned with proper form reps to gain a set and repeatable shot. If it had aluminum clamps I would have bought it...but likely still gonna order a bow from you guys and send you my Trinity to add to the build and just buy the Option 8. Nice info and video as usual though man.
Cut my teeth on a PSE Nova Rimfire, but since then I have owned nothing but Mathew’s. Sold my Z7 Extreme and I DO NOT want to spend the money on a flagship bow again. Really leaning hard on the Embark or the Drive NXT.
@@springfield03sniper yeah, as much as I don’t want to spend the money, I’ve fallen in love with that evo xf with the s2 cam. Being a short draw guy and seeing the numbers that thing is putting up, I may bite the flagship bullet lol
I'm new to compound bows. Are the plastic limb pockets really that big of a deal breaker? Has anyone actually had them break or fail or is it just people being scared of plastic (just like with Glocks). How long will they last? I loved the bow when I shot it but talking to other guys they claim I shouldn't even think about it due to the limb pockets.
Why is it when it comes to yolk tuning some people say whatever twists you put in one side you need to take out of another but then some say you dont have to do that...on my realm x "right hand shooter" my right side yolks are twisted "alot" bowtech says this is normal on the realms if i went 1 for 1 my left side would just be twisted in the opposite direction it started
The Embark is a nice bow. I have a 26 inch draw length and at the beginning it felt a tad stiff to me. It also tends to kick back towards you an awful lot but I was told it was designed to do that like a target bow. That was straight from the pse rep.
If PSE thought it was an advantage for a bow to kick back then wouldn't all their high end target bows do it too!? Or are they assuming that at that price range people will likely be running a long rod out front instead of a full setup? I might still try one out though.
@@Smoothy38 it the ZF cam, it has a smoother drop into the valley than the evolve cam, but only 80 percent let off. The evolve cam at 80 percent let off feels very similarly

Good review showing different DL and arrows for speed . PSE really makes the most user friendly bows IMO.
My last bow was a PSE that I had in 1985. Been out of it for many years and looking at one of these to get back into it.
Awesome review as always. I work in a bow shop and love these unbiased thorough info

I keep hearing crackle noises on the drawing back of the bow but it shoots nice. I think it’s your release making that noise...

Fred Bear is a legend! And the company still makes great traditional bows. Their lower end compound bows leave a lot to be desired though haha.

You can pretty easily get a SuperDrive 23 to that weight, maybe you just meant arrows that your shop stocks.

I think it’s less of you “have” to and more of you can get twice the amount of adjustment by doing the opposite to the other side when yoke tuning.
What is that creaking sound?
Pretty sure it’s from the wrist strap on the release
This has nothing to do with the video but I was wondering how Do you determine how much helical you need on an arrow
Thats preference

Please tighten your field points 🙏🏼
I've never shot an embark. The cams look ideally shaped for a nice draw cycle - anyone know what it's like!?
if it's the Evolve cam, it's very smooth with almost no hump and dump into the valley/back wall...
