I'm seeing many lightbulbs going off in the comments in this RW series and wanted to share my thoughts with the community.
I am not a person that is easily persuaded by detail marketing claims or processes or methodologies of detailing. One needs to take a stance of “skepticism” as many initially believe what an YT influencer or manufacturers says without any rational thought and that's the narrative, they sell products on and one will/would believe moving forward and will ultimately defend it without asking any questions.
The best way to approach something in car detailing is to just ask questions for yourself - make your question’s list for ANY detailing process or chemical product. Find what actually works for YOU and why?
Here is a sample of questions for a RW chemical product and washing contact process that I developed for myself:
    - Is rinseless washing truly safer than a traditional contact wash?
    - Is proper rinseless washing actually quicker than a traditional wash?
    - Can a RW be used for all types of grime accumulation on a vehicle like a traditional contact wash?
    - Is modern RW methodology or process better now or when it was first developed as now some say to pre-rinse or soak with a RW before you do a RW wash or even rinse after the RW contact wash, why was the narrative changed?
    - Like all things does RW have limitations and what are they?
    - Does the 256:1 ratio standardized narrative actually work for ALL RW formulations as no two formulations are the same nor use the same cleaning agents, chemicals or formulations?
    - Has anybody actually tested what is the best dilution ratio to use for a given RW product?
    - Does the choice of different wash media work better with a given RW chemical formulation or ratios than others (best pairing)?
    - Why believe you should only use a sponge with every RW formulated product?
    - Clearcoat gets scratched from the detailing process by more “contact” and surface resistance on the vehicle clearcoat from the wash media, type of media selected, the chemicals selected, and the drying process selected (towel dry or blow dry) - which washing process has the least amount clearcoat contact on clearcoat over time traditional wash or RW’ing?
    - Traditional contact wash, rinse, blow dry off versus towel dry in RW process - which will scratch the vehicle less over time?
    - What wash media or RW multiple media process by design has the least probability to scratch clearcoat in a RW process?
    - Why is a twist loop towel the best drying towel for the RW process? Does the height of the twist loop pile matter as twist loop pile can be aggressive on the clearcoat surface based upon the applied pressure downwards, least surface resistance when a drying towel is a little wet and was that why drying aids were developed?
    - Does a surfactant type by classification leave less surfactant residue on the surface after drying in a RW process?
    - Does a RW containing surfactants leave behind surfactant residue after drying the surface without rinsing?
    - Do the chemicals chosen in the RW formulation scratch the surface because the chemical(s) chosen in the formulation?
    - Am I reviewing SDS sheets before purchasing a product and reaching out to the manufacturers with my questions on the product before using them on vehicles?
Granted, the list can go on and on or get “crazy” but it’s illustrating a point here, that being - are you thinking like this (you should be as chemicals are dangerous) or just simply believing what someone, albeit who they are, says?
That’s what I do, I test my questions and post review videos at the attempt to validate or “try to validate” the product marketing claims, process and methodology claims in the detail industry the best I can, with the resources available to me and the knowledge I possess and the contacts I have in the detail industry.
I pose only illustrations of my findings to my community. I’m a sample of one, not perfect, have my own opinions and testing my “question lists” so I can choose for myself the best possible process and detailing products for my applications in car detailing.
    How about you?

This is by far the most comprehensive series of testing on rinseless washes I have ever seen on RUclips. Great job my friend, keep up the good work. You are the "Robin Hood" of rinseless!

This is an outstanding channel!! Forensic Detailing channel is another that is on the Mount Rushmore of RUclips detailing channels. Both channels keep up the fantastic work!

@@bluewatermobiledetail I also like Jon's channel over at Forensic Detailing Channel as well. I have been watching Jon since way back when he started his channel. He is like a PHD when it comes to his extensive knowledge on the composition of various wax and sealant compounds and he was one of the first "testers" of detailing products which has since spawned a whole category within itself when it comes to the testing, evaluation, and most importantly, HIS HONESTY on how the product works in his real world testing of various products. Jon gives his honest opinion. I also like a couple of other channels where I know I can get honest answers about products and not HYPE of a product just so you'll buy it. There are WAY too many of those type of detailing channels and they aren't too hard to pick out. I'm not bashing anyone here, quite the contrary, as I love a lot of different detailing channels, many, sadly who have sucummed to the persuasion of getting either a monetary kick back or "thank you" WINK WINK, for reviewing their products. It's basically cheap advertising for some companies to use RUclipsr's for hyping up their product(s) so that people like myself and many other detailing enthusiasts will immediately go out and buy it. I have been so far down that rabbit hole over the past few years, I fully admit, that I have a cabinet FULL (and I do mean FULL) of products that I have only used once because I got ran over by the HYPE TRAIN on so many different products and tools. No doubt this is the GOLDEN AGE of detailing and there are more products available now days than I have ever seen in my 45+ years of detailing both my own vehicles and many many others. I appreciate any RUclips channel where the person doing the review seems genuine, open, and honest about their thoughts on the product(s). This channel is one of those channels where you know you will get an HONEST opinion and that carries the most weight of all in my book. I am still on the "old school" train so to speak because I only still use good carnauba waxes and quality sealant products on my vehicles as I have for the past 45 years. They still perform as exceptional as they did 45 years ago. Hell, even the old green original goopy Turtle Wax was a mainstay in my detailing arsenal back in the late 70's and early 80's (I know I am dating myself a bit here), but my point is a lot of detailing is hyped up now days, when you can get very similar results using good ole' school type products like my old faithful Collinite Super Double Coat wax (the longest durable wax before Fusso Coat came onto the scene), wash soap from the local auto parts store, and an old Porter Cable XP sander/polisher which was the mainstay of most detailing enthusiasts back in the day. Sure, there are some really nice, cool, and much more user friendly products now days, but even with the basics you can do some good detailing. To me, it's mostly TECHNIQUE more than having the most up to date 21mm long throw and one of the new micro polishers. Sure, they are fantastic, and I have a FLEX PXE-80 that I probably use more than any other polisher I have now, but before all of this vast amount of equipment, all I had was a bucket, wash sponge, and a tin of Meguiars cleaner wax. I used Simple Green for many years as my APC for both the rims/wheel wells, pre-wash on bugs, etc and then as my interior cleaner on all the surfaces inside the vehicle. It worked great and my cars always looked clean and waxed. A cleaner wax was great because it had whatever additive that actually helped to clean out the pores of the paint similar to a paint cleanser product today. The only thing I did after that was use Meguiars Hand Glaze from their pro line to bring out the best gloss as possible, again, it worked fantastic and I had a total of 5 products in my detailing arsenal. Now I have literally HUNDREDS of products in my cabinet, which is my own fault, but I am slowly suppressing my own craziness and cleaning all those extra products OUT, slowly but surely. I am reverting back to having just the basics that get the job done quickly, and efficiently. Even if I cleared out my stuff down to just having a total of 25 of the most essential products I would be thrilled! It'll probably never happen! LOL. I still love trying out new products as much as the next detailing enthusiast! Happy detailing ya'll and thanking Detail Projects for keeping it real. You are the true champion in the detailing RUclips community. Thank you again for all your hard work and commitment to bringing us the most factual information you can based on your own use of a particular product.

Former DIY Detail rinseless customer here. I bought the new ONR v5 and diluted it 32:1 and washed 3 cars with it. Epic results but expensive. Thank you so much man. I look forward to seeing all of your new videos. All the filming, editing and production wow! You're amazing!!!!!!

What’s your go to rinse-less now? I really like DIY as a whole, but their rinse-less wash isn’t my favorite in the sun. ONR V5 and Absolute have been my favorite especially in the sun. I typically clean at 256:1 and use both as QD’s at 64:1.

Hype, lies, influencing, or questionable marketing tactics seem to be synonyms in the detail industry of late; especially, in the last 5 years.
Not only "hype" behind chemical products but these "made-up detail terms" to sell products or explain product deficiencies.
For example, "rinse-LESS", "scarring", "The Stack". ... All useless terms defining nothing but "spinning" a detail narrative! Sad, I even see these terms being repeated like it means something different or have some level of importance that is assigned to the word.
Parroting is the highest level of detail marketing hype in my humble opinion. Keep repeating it and someone is bound to believe it, repeat it to others and be loyal to buy the given detail product.
      I already trade-marked both "mar-LESS" and scratch-LESS. LOL. ...

Another great test. Very disappointing about the weak/outdated SDS sheet. I'm wondering if they're using surfactants that "should" be washed away like the DIY Detail product. Like ONR, I typically use McKee's N914 at 128:1 for rinseless. At 256:1, it just looks and feels like water to me (and I 100% saw marring with McKee's at 256 on soft black paint). You inspired me to try ONR at 64:1 for a contact rinseless wash a few days ago and was blown away by how good it was. I had been nervous about streaking at higher concentrations, but I had no issues. The feel and cleaning power were really good. I probably will not buy McKee's again because it is more expensive than ONR, doesn't seem to clean better, and the lack of an SDS sheet.
I'm sure you're getting tons of requests. My vote goes to the pink Wolfgang Uber rinseless. It seems to clean well and has a great feel, and it is also more concentrated than most brands (they recommend 384:1 for rinseless, or 1 ounce per 3 gallons of water). I'm wondering if this is actually the best deal at $50 per gallon. Is their 128:1 as good as other brands at 64:1 for rinseless?

I like your objectiveness and methodology. Great work!
About the SDS content, I used a clay lube from a well known brand once. After 15 min my hands got totally irritated (like burning). The brand did not even tell anything about PPE on the bottle. Since I became aware of dangerous of chemicals. I always use atleast nitrile gloves when detailing.
Your knowledge and devotion in this topic is really important to make people and manufacturers aware of the care and responsibility that they have.
It is hard to get objective reviews now a days. There is even a channel that I also like for this type of objective comparison content. But once in a while, the channels come out with a "Soft99" ad... This makes me wonder how trustworthy its content really becomes in the future.

Another great video, thanks for putting in and sharing your work! This seemed to perform pretty well, however probably contains ingredients that would not make it suitable/appropriate for a rinseless application. It's unfortunate they don't provide a safety data sheet to confirm.
