If you dont pay your heloc you could lose your home. So I think the key here is distributing your money a different way. I haven’t done a heloc yet, but this is definitely interesting information.

You technically can save up and pay on your own…depending on your mortgage company. Once you pay off your mortgage, you’ll pay your taxes through your local city separate. The schools etc, still get their money.

The greatest fees and penalties you will ever have is the mortgage and the upfront interest
