I don't know how often I watched these videos with Abla already. They are so inspiring. When you see what one person can achieve in such an environment 🌱👍🏼
That’s incredible, keep on it only will become more of a paradise. You’re the one who deserves it the most. Giving hope and healing to a broken world is such a worthy accomplishment. Love and prayers to you and yours. Thanks Jeff. 🌺🦋🐸
Abla's original garden video was the first video i saw from this channel and it was very inspiring. Glad to see she's still with us and the garden is doing well.
I love her no nonsense attitude. Do it. Do it now. You won't regret it. Easy. Just straight to the point. The garden looks amazing from the last time we saw it. Great to see the extra tanks installed too. Water is necessary in the desert.
Abla is a rock star! I love her Garden. What a transformation it has gone thru. I remember the first tour when the date palm was nearly a lone sentinel. :)
So glad to see an update. I don't know how many times I said a prayer for her during Covid. So glad to see the way gardening is spreading in that little area. Many blessings to all of you. Abla's garden has grown so much! Even with set backs, it's so much greener, so much bigger. The stone work is lovely! And all that compost. Amazing! Thanks Geoff! Thanks Abla.
Regards to Abla from Australia She’s worked hard on her Garden . Composting is hard work . I have the highest respect for her and look forward for an update on her Garden . It’s very inspiring
Despite the Covid and her grief she's done an amazing job. Cats, the "bosses" of the yard. Looks like another wall needs building to keep the dogs out. She's right, people just wander unless they are restricted to the walkways. So much done, and I can see she's got more planned. I gave someone the videos so their family in the capital city can see what's possible. Jordan is definitely not a sweet place to grow things, but it definitely can be done, Abla is the proof women aren't incapable.
It is like the worst place ever, but your greening of the desert project and the people like Abla, show the potential to turn such hard land into a paradise, incredible. Plus anyone who forgets how bad it was in the beginning just needs to look overthe the fence. Literally if itcannot be done here it can be done anywhere. Much appreciated!!!
It’s great proof of the resilience of her garden that even being away because of family grief and covid, lots surviived and even improved. I’m glad for you Alba that you can live from your composting abilities !! I’m so glad, Geoff, that some neighbors are inspired. Lovely all around !
Thank you Abla for the wonderful tour. I love the changes you’ve made. So sorry about your loss. I hope your future will hold healing and happiness. Thanks 🌷✨🌵
What an amazing woman. A true force of nature. Lovely oasis she's created in that barren landscape. Thanks so much for sharing. Look forward to updates from Abla.
Shade is of importance. Even here in central Europe, I designed my garden in a way it provides plenty of shade. Such a relief taking a stroll during the height of summer with enough tress to protect you from the heat. Very nice setup here.
This lady is a former university professor in Jordan who stopped her activities to devote herself to this project! What a contrast between his garden and his environment!
Thank you so much! Alba is a true inspiration. 'If you're sad, go flip some compost' I have just started gardening for real, in a totally different climate (I live in Central Norway), but I totally agree! I wish I had the time to do more, and lived in a climate where I could garden for more months of the year, but you have to work with what you've got, and even the planning during the long winter months is good for the soul.
I would think that people in other places have better conditions for gardening but sometimes it is too dry, too cold, too hot, too rainy, too short of the season, etc...I do live in a very dry place (MX) and in a high altitude and the sun scorches the plants and the soil is imposible to walk on with out shoes during this time. I guess, there is not perfect place for gardening but it is perfect for the soul to do gardening.
I don’t have outside space. So I am trying to learn permaculture indoors if such a thing can exist 😊 I organized my seed boxes. Need to move potatoes and plant milkweed and ladies bedstraw. I have so much bamboo seeds. But bambosa is gigantic. So is the red and blue bamboo. It’s a dinasour grass so don’t think you can dwarf that….hmmm
You are a gem young lady. I see the benefits of the digital world being able to see the scenes where you live and the great food gardens you have. Your creativity is boundless. Thank you. God bless.
What an inspiring lady! Such a beautiful garden and the lady’s hard work is reflected in every frame and she’s done it on her own! So much greenery in such a hot place is breathtaking. Wish more people are like her. More videos on this fantastic lady please. Thank you.💐💐
Thank you for this wonderful follow-up visit with Abla & her amazing property. Have been following from the beginning. What a beautiful paradise she has created. An inspiration without a doubt! And blessings to you Geoff for the tremendous good work you & your team are doing. Thanks for sharing this information, helping us to do our part to help as well.
"... to become super! So the garden is a by-product of composting." Excellent showing of what she had done, more power to her elbow! Very impressive and once she gets a bit more shade - the food plants will take off... Excellent garden and an excellent composter... ...
My recollection of the previous visit is rather vague but it has come a long way since. Really quite incredible seeing those beautiful piles of compost in such a rough setting. The gun shot (or whatever it was that sounded like it) came in as a reminder that it's not just the climate that is edgy yet there is magic happening in that little community. Blessings Geoff and everyone. Thank you very much for the update tour.
Wonderful! Yes i can see it's like a paradise, even when it's not spring. Nice to see Abla enjoying the garden so much. Very talented compost maker, grower and designer! I'm glad you can sell the compost, super!
Finally made an account and subscribe, wanted to say you were among the first people i started watching 3 years ago that made me fell in love with permaculture, like the lady i also was dreaming but delaying to start but this year after some hardships with getting the land i finally got a piece of land and want to do permaculture, organic and regenerative agriculture, to have a bounty of harvests for humans, animals, birds, insects, microbial life and fungy, all in all a symbiotic ecosystem using only the principles and practices that enrich the soil and dont degrade it, i wanted to keep the vegetative mass that was on my land and cut it and compost it in the fall right on the land but the ex-tenant that is still tenant on the other plots of land around mine went and mowed everything to the ground and took all the cut plants away without my consent but i am not discouraged by this and will make the land better, the more time passes the more i feel i need to do this, caught the bug and i am glad i did and hopefully i will make the land better and eventually inspire others to do it like you are, thank you so very much for being one of the people that made me sick with this bug!🤗
In Australia they add clay to sandy soil. Loam is the Cadillac of soils, a material that contains 7-27% clay and 28-50% silt and less than 52% sand. Add in compost and you have a perfect soil for most plants we eat
I have been following her progress since 2019 and it’s very impressive. She is resilient and determined Ma sha Allah. One day I will visit and hope she can teach my wife and I.

She's great! Love to see the garden next year too!
If Abla can make this hard country green, we can all make things grow! So glad to see her composting business and education!
Shade is of importance. Even here in central Europe, I designed my garden in a way it provides plenty of shade. Such a relief taking a stroll during the height of summer with enough tress to protect you from the heat. Very nice setup here.

Thank you for posting more Ablas.
Alba is the queen of compost, ❤❤❤❤❤❤ lovely and hard working lady.
So proud of you mom❤❤
It’s hard to understand why more people have not begun growing their own gardens after seeing what you two have accomplished.
Compost Queen. Given those prices, no wonder she's so keen on making the stuff to sell.
I was waiting for this update tour. Beautiful.
Masha Allah thank you for showing us what can be achieved, the beauty of nature and its abundance.
Proud of you 👏👏👏
Дай Бог вам и Абле здоровья и долгих лет. Благое дело делайте для Земли-Матушки! Такие люди очень нужны сейчас на планете. Всех Благ!!!:)
