Hi, I'm building a CNC machine and where I currently live the power at the outlet is 100v 50Hz. But all I can find is 220v and 110v Spindles and VFD. Can a 110v be used? Or is there a solution for this?
Sir we have 0.4 ke delta vfd when we set h parameter for potentiometer, speed is not control by potentiometer on digital keypad it is not working but external potentiometer is connected working properly. So what parameter we have to set by which frequency set by potentiometer on digital keypad
You can either check source of frequency and select the required parameter. If you like to switch to two sources (on Drive and External), then you can use the parameter second source of frequency. This is explained in my Delta course located at learn.codeandcompile.com/p/delta-industrial-automation
marcus mårlind - These (M0 ~ M5) are digital inputs not outputs. We just have 2 Digital Relay Output in VFD RA and RB. Besides MCM is high speed output of VFD.
what is the output voltage of Delta VFD? because I have problem here, my VFD input voltage is 440V but the output is too high about 700 to 900 volts and the case of the motor can't be touch by bare hand and we measure the casing to ground the voltage reading is about 200V
+owoeye ayodele You just need to check the parameters you have in your first drive., note it down and copy that in other drive. Well in that case, you need to have good knowledge about parameters of the drive and it's wiring.
Hi, Well we have made a video on LT in one of our video of Siemens S7-1200 lessons with proportional control. It also have FT, but we are not using that in the project. Check here: ruclips.net/video/FFiJ7d1olFU/видео.html

Hossam Zayed Hello Hossam, Well i would be glad to answer you: how long can the VFD run on low frequencies ? As long as you want. There is no limitation. Is it possible to interface the VFD with Arduino ? Yes, it is possible, infact we have already done that. Let me know which operations you want to control with arduino? what is the best type of motor (3 phase or singles phase) to be used for an application where the motor is required to switch directions many times ? I would suggest DC Motor. It will save your cost of VFD. what is the best motor type to be used for an application that requires higher torque rather than speed ? You can go for DC Gear Motor When VFD is used and the motor has a high load is it possible to rely on the VFD to instantly change direction or we should add a braking system ? Instantly changing the direction would cause sudden increase/decrease of current. You can play around with Acceleration and deceleration of VFD along with braking system. It would work. Also you can try using DC gear motor instead if you don't want frequent change of speed.
Rajvir Singh Thank you very much for the quick reply. As for the application, we are building a 3 Axis rotation Flight simulator with 1 person cabin inside. We are still in the design phase but we can't figure out what to choose regarding the motors. we have calculated the power we need and it is 1KW for each of the 3 motors. so we found that we need an AC motor 220 V single phase 1400 RPM, or it's 3 phase equivalent. Apparently the application requires fast and stable switching in motor directions. So if you could kindly answer my previous questions based on this new information we would really appreciate it. we have a team of 5 engineers in different branches but we don't have enough experience in this matter. and we would appreciate any references you recommend so we can dig our information and thanks again.
Hossam Zayed Then i would say if you could get equivalent rated DC motor it would be cost effective compared to AC motor and drives (if cost if the issue). In DC Motor you just need to reverse the polarity of its terminal to change the direction. It can be done pretty easy using relays.
Please reply. Vfd ki output voltage stable kyu nhi hoti? Line reactor use stable karne ke lyea lgate hai? Motor ki input voltage motor ki rating voltage se jyada kyu hoti hai
VFD gives variable freq. output and its stable at fixed frequency! (Average voltage) otherwise it’s sinusoidal ..I hope you know that already. Line reactor is used as current limiting and filtering impedance
Because if you use 0mA for minimum or no signal, it might be confused with broken wire in transmitting the signal. Suppose if you use 0 - 20mA and you don't receive any signal (0 mA) from transmitter than there might be confusion likes between two cases - 1) The wire is broken 2) The transmitter is not sending signal. In case if you use 4 - 20mA, for broken wire you will receive 0mA and immediately you will analyze that it's because of the wire. Hope that make sense!
