Lookin’ good! I’m still waiting on my 8” recurve windshield from Freedom shields for my fairing. That should solve my small amount of buffeting. Good video.

I put a Memphis shade bat wing on my 2010 Vulcan nomad 1700 made a huge difference I put the curved shield on mine shot the wind over my head. Looks great had mine painted two tone like yours if I find a pic I’ll send it to you. Great job🤘🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Great vid! Have a batwing on my 06, love both looks, batwing and windshield but the clincher is the stereo. Not sure if I’d have a BW without. Looks great though and a beautiful bike, sounds awesome. ✊😊

Great video! Waited on one like this. Its way better than the Memphis shade ones and they are like 600 unpainted. I will definitely go with reckless. Still trying to decide if I want a radio or not. And my RK and yours are similar colors, so black would work on my as well. But if I decide on the one you got I might go ahead and get it printed.

I'm looking at a fairing for my 2005 Yamaha RSTD, this might be the brand. Though I'm going to go with the bluetooth + speakers option.
Stock it comes with a full windscreen, which is pretty cool with the quick disconnects for summer riding, but I go on long trips and want the wind protection for longer rides. I'm hoping that I can make it go on and off in a relatively short time if I want to head to the beach on a hot summer day and feel the wind on my chest.
Good choice! I have a Cardo in my helmet, so I just went with the base model...and i'm not made of money. Hahahaha! Great company, excellent product!

Great Video JP . I have been waiting to see one of these. The finish looks great and it looks great on the bike. I had a memphis shades bat wing on my Road king and it was a major improvement. Looks like one of these is in my future! thanks for Showing the way on this.

Nice video, looks like this video is a good 4 years old now, are you still rocking the Reckless batwing? if so how's it holding up, cause I'm contemplating on one for my 2021 softail which currently had the MS batwing with the 9" shield.
I just picked up a 2021 Softail Heritage Classic for myself and have been trying to look for solutions to he helmet buffeting I’m getting with the stock windshield. Been looking at different helmets, fork deflectors/lowers and other solutions. Have you had any issues with helmet buffeting with this fairing?
I absolutely loved the Reckless fairing on the Heritage. It made the ride so much better! Definitely recommend the good folks there! Thanks!

do you know if the inside is braced or reinforced. are the metal brackets pretty sturdy and connected the fairing well?
The brackets are super strong, and other than having to add a few washers to tighten the gap up, it was a breeze of an installation--definitely recommend!
By any chance does your wobble around 85-80 with the reckless fairing. Bc I just recently got a joker reckless fairing and mine starts to wobble when it hits that speed. Idk if it’s the fairing
I never noticed any wobble, and i had it up to 90-100 fairly often. Loved that Reckless fairing. Thanks MJ!
Thank you for the great video, impressions on the install and the ride comfort. I am considering a fairing upgrade to my '21 Heritage. I like the stock shield, but do not love it. It comes off easily and I like that, but it's nothing like my '16 RGS with Klock Werks Flare. What's your impression of the stock vs. this Reckless one?
Glad it was helpful! I loved that fairing on my 2019 Heritage, but then I test rode a new Gold Wing, and the rest is history...the improved ride with the Reckless was outstanding! Definitely recommend it!

@@JP1970 Hey Brotha Quick Question... I have Sazuki Blvd c50 many changes done bobber style front & rear fairings, custom 24" Sissy Bar •• I also have 4" risers with drag bars. How would this Reckless Fairing look with drag bars??? Also what style did you get I like the no speakers, looks clean!!! Memphis shades has batwing but with no speakers inside of Fairing looks incomplete!! Yours is Awesome!!! Thanks in advance
@@jasonsanderson9385 Hi there...that Suzuki sounds pretty cool. I have the base model without the speakers...it was $399 plus $75 for shipping. Totally loved it! I have since sold the bike and have the fairing for sale locally...(N.E. Nevada). Thanks for watching, and i think it would look pretty cool with drag bars. My Heritage had mini apes...like 12", but i think it would look great on your bike.
Mine is on order. Have you thought about the fairing-mounted mirrors Reckless offers for the fairing, JP? I might give them a shot later because you can take off the handlebar-mounted mirrors and clean things up a bit. Man, the price sure shot up in 2 years. I paid $599 plus $85 to ship. Ouch!

JP how does it affect the handling and weight of the front end? I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't fit the mounts without having to remove and replace washers and spacers. But overall I'm still considering one for mine. Turn it into a Hariglide.
Angel Gould yeah, the install wasn’t bad at all-I love it, but you do ha e a tad more resistance but again not bad at all. It looks great! And the wind protection is impressive.

I’m sorry but the bike is long gone-sold the fairing separately. It weighs like maybe 7kbs…pretty light. Hope that helps! 😀
Very nice but in my opinion you should have gotten one with a stereo system installed. Costs a lot more but will really transform your bike into a real touring machine. Looks good on that beautiful heritage buddy!
Thanks for the tip, but that bike is long gone. Today i ride a 2018 Honda Gold Wing with full fairing and sound system. Oh heck yeah, and my Harley buddies do their best to keep up. 😎
Very nice video. I have the same bike, but I have 2 boss speakers on my handlebars between my stock windshield. Do you think they will clear the fairing in space.

Hi JP, I have 2020 with the Egg windshield as I call it lol. It got major wind buffeting across the top of my Helmet. Did you original Heritage fearing do that and does the Batwing eliminate that??
Hi…I would have to say that I never had any problems with buffering. Could be because I’m only. 5’ 9”. I just preferred the look and full coverage of the batwing fairing…so much so that I no longer have the bike. Haha-loved it but bought a Honda Gold wing. On a more serious note, I love the rear fender bib you have on the Heritage. I would appreciate a link, we can only find them over here for Fatboys or the Softail Deluxe, but I presume they would fit the same?

I think you would be very happy with the reckless fairing-great product, nice folks too. Honestly, I prefer speakers in my helmet and Bluetooth to my phone. Cardo 4+ is what I use. Once you get rolling down the highway you won’t be able to hear the speakers in the fairing, but good as gold in the helmets. Hope this helps!
JP like you’re video I’m really interested in you’re reckless fairing you install on the 2019 heritage classic, would you still remember the part number of the fairing I also own the same bike as yours, but ordering from Canada just want to make sure I get the right one. Thx for you’re time
Oh man, that fairing was my favorite addition to my Heritage. It improved the ride so much! All I remember for sure is that it was the basic model, no stereo and I went with the 5 or 6" smoked visor. How does it compare to a street glide? Rode a friend's Ultra this last weekend and I'm almost sold, but won't be able to pick one up till maybe next year, so now I'm heavily considering a batwing fairing for my Fatboy
Honestly, my favorite Harley is the street glide, and the Heritage with the batwing fairing comes close. I'm not sure how it would be on a FatBoy, but it would be great to hear what you decide to do...keep me posted!
I know you’ve sold and moved on, but is this fairing something you can pop on for a long ride, then take off for around town like the windscreen it comes with, or is it a put it on and plan to leave it on situation?
Yes, but I am happy to share what I know…the Reckless fairing was an amazing addition to my Heritage-absolutely loved it. I personally found once I had installed it, I never wanted to take it off. It could certainly be done, not as easily as the stock windshield but easy enough, I suppose. Hope that is helpful. I’m happy to answer any questions I can. Thank you for connecting.

They do--a place to put a radio, if you want.
Almost traded in my 18 FLHC on a Street glide today for long road trips until someone mentioned this video.. how is the buffeting on the full face helmet at say 80-90mph? that's my huge concern living out west. $299 sound a lot better than $30,000 for the glide.
There is no buffeting whatsoever! I love the Reckless fairing--I'm 5'9" so if you are taller you may notice some....I'm not sure.

I new to the channel, and pretty late to your original post, but could you tell me what the head buffeting is like on the interstate? The fairing on my Fatboy is just awful. So bad in fact, that I completely removed it. I want to take some long trips and I need another fairing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I had zero head buffeting with the fairing installed and really liked it. Keep in mind however, I am about 5'9". Hope that is helpful. Thanks!

Nice video JP.. I love it, the fairing looks great! I have a 2020 heritage classic V107 and one of the reasons I bought the bike is because it comes from the HD factory as a 2in1 bike. Remove the saddlebags, remove the rear seat, remove the windshield and in less than 5 minutes the bike turned from touring to a street cruiser. Now, add a Fairing and you have another nice new look. Too bad the fairing doesn't snap on/off the way the windshield does but I understand why it needs fasteners.
Do they make this fairing with an installed stereo system?
Hi Tony....congrats on the 2020...great bike and you bet she strips down easily enough. Reckless does sell them with a stereo, but I use a cardo and am happy with that set up. Can't go wrong with the heritage! Thanks fpr watching and commenting!

I mean, that is what I feel when I ride my bike with the original windshield...it'like having a hurricane around my head!
I experienced zero buffeting with the Reckless fairing--granted I'm only like 5' 8", so that could be part of it. I loved that fairing! I now ride a 2018 Gold Wing, but I definitely recommend Reckless!

It's good...my favorite addition to the Hritage by far. I just sold the bike, and the fairing is going up for sale. I'll ship it!

No, I had to go to the hardware store..not a big deal. Easy fix!
The windshield 5 or 10 inches?
GYORGY LAKATOS 5 inches and it comes in clear or smoked grey like I have.
After my 2019 Slim (with a windshield) the 2020 Electra Glide (with the Bat wing fairing} is the best thing I have done. It looks great in my humble opinion.

JP1970 what does it weight. I know the batwing fairing on my Ultra Ltd is about 30 pounds. I would think that’s at least half that. 😎😎

I like it and its very beautiful without the Bags. The only thing I do not like are the stock pipe that looks very uneven length.

You (up to now) obviously love your bikes and the mods to the Heritage you've done have been subtle and tasteful. But JEEEZ! This monstrosity??! What were you thinking? There is an expression here in the UK (and probably the U.S. as well) that "less is more".....You have just put a wheelie bin over Christie Brinkley's head! I’m glad you like it, and I’m glad you can remove it easily :) I’m with Simon Hickey on this-the fairing deletes the classic lines that make it look so good. I have a 2018 Deluxe and ride it stripped down, with only the swing-arm bag because i love the classic look (like Simon says, less is more), but i have the bags and windshield for long trips. Regardless, I love your bike and videos. Well its been 30 minutes since I’ve seen my bike so I’m heading to my garage to stare at it for few hours before i go to sleep :) Now, go take that fairing off and slaps some white walls on that thing! Cheers!
