Excellent and so true! I listened twice. he is right, many small churches stay small due to ego. I was passed up for a leadership postion many times though I felt as qualified or more so, than others. There were even people in leadership with more than one role/position. that is wrong. when you have responsible proven people who want to serve and they are repeatedly denied, it is time to move on.
Excellent talk, great humility. One mistake he made, which is common, that is he said we need to delegate responsibility. Responsibilities can never be delegated, authority is delegated. This is absolute truth not meant to be critical.
