i have actualy worked on aruba projects and no need to convert each access point to campus access points basically the aruba have campus access points models you just plug them and connect them through the vlan which you add them on the switch and they will once reach to dhcp server for getting ip address the dhcp server provide them their ip and controller ip so they directly take configuration from controller on which you already add them by their mac-address by yourself manually.
Hi , can you please tell me your use-case , do you want to reboot all the AP's or it possible to reboot controller in scheduled manner . how is your infra , do you have any management software like airwave or IMC and do you using HPE switches ?
If this setup was only for Guest then ok , if you are using above setup for your organization better to deploy Firewall on the Perimter . or you have PEF license you can configure firewall in Aruba WLC.
you can change controller ip - go to CLI--> show switch ip , CLI-->sh ip interface brief cli output verify VLAN ID using for the switch IP. after that goto config mode change IP address of the VLAN do write memory after changing reboot controller . preferred way of changing switch IP through console port
Thank you very much for this video.
