This was a pleasant surprise to find in my inbox today from Fender! I love this band- especially live. The songwriting is excellent and it was great to hear Gourley's comments about it. I hope you guys come to New England some day. Kudos to Fender for sharing this. I have a new Fender Jazz American Series in Texas Tea- what a beautiful instrument. PTM and Fender make smile.
If your going to lip dub at least do a better job syncing the video or do a better job with the mime track . Because this was terrible , which is a shame because these guys can actually play live well
10 years past their prime. Compare going to their live show a decade ago to now, there's a complete different vibe and energy. With success came complacency. Just look at their setlists--it rarely changes and is filled with very few of the great songs off Satanic Satanists, American Ghetto, In the Mountain, etc. Shame.
It’s hard to change when you have something gold and good, but PTM lyrics have not changed just like the Beatles lyrics didn’t change. A band has to grow and expand always, especially when they aren’t getting the recognition they deserve. But I know exactly what you mean, their fan base is so diluted with people riding their modern sound.
