I really enjoyed this one, what great camara work, I didn't miss out on a single thing, I even got a little tired myself...lol and you Molly jumping in and helping, what a great catch for Shane.....You know your good people when you have all them good friends coming to help....love it
No wonder Shane can do magic with machinery he’s been working with tools since he was two years old. He would come to my house and say (Aunt Bunny) do you have a radio or any I can pull apart and put back together. He was such a cutie and still is.. so proud of this young man..
Pixall corn picker. Boy that brings back memories of picking sweet corn here in WI for the canning factories. Good to see you have a parts machine now. Maybe Tim can replicate the spline shaft using the old one. So you have a spare. Shane might have to take a few notes from Tim and have a couple pairs of coveralls to wear. LOL. Keep posting videos. Really enjoy them.
Love you guys!! BTW .003 is the thickness of a child's hair. 5/16 is equal to .3125 soooo good numbers, just move the decimal point! ;) Have been patiently waiting for your video. So chill and down to earth. Like to hear more of Shane also, so cool.
I wish we got corn like that in the UK. Supply lines only seem to get us corn which needs to be cooked in some way. Still good but not quite fresh enough for raw. What a beast of a job getting that shaft out.
Some of the most fun friends can have together is fixing things yourself. I remember working on cars with my high school buddies, nothing major, just swapping brake shoes, rotating tires or changing oil really made us feel like we knew what we were doing.
@@BellsFarming you are too of course. I love seeing a young couple working hard, making their way in this crazy world today. I grow potatoes in my garden so that's what stated me watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
It is great to see a couple of knowledgable, skillful workers able to put things to right. Industrial farming needing people who can keep the machinery going; a lot cheaper than having some pros come in to do the work or buying a replacement machine.
Great job and Shane you have a keeper there. 42 years with my wife and she has never helped me under a truck not even to change a tire. LOL. You better take good care of her. LOL. You guys take care .
Hi Molly and Shane ❣️... Thank you Tim for helping out Shane .... Every one needs a little help.... You guys got that in and back cutting Corn ... It's also GREAT to get a KISS from the wife Shane ... My wife Maria is aways helping me when ever we are working on something... Thanks for sharing your Videos.. God bless you guys and your family and Animals 💞🙏
As an ex diesel mechanic, I never ever had an assistant like that. Molly you amaze me, you get in a do what ever, just like Laura from Laura farms. Keep up the great work
Without any doubt you’ll are the hardest working couple on the planet. I hope the very best for your all harvesting. I would like to see the cornzilla in action. I’m use to combines but never seen a picker like that one. Especially one with a head for beans like that one. Enjoy you’ll content and videos very much.
I was a heavy equipment mechanic for about 15 years of my life. I know you own this stuff, so you don't really get a choice, but watching these last 2 videos has reaffirmed why I started running the equipment rather than working on it. Crawling around on your hands and knees, covered in an even mixture of dirt, hydraulic fluid, and blood, cussing, fighting... I'm glad you're doing it! I'm more than happy to watch!
Totally agree. While I was watching these last two videos I was thinking that there's no way I could be crawling around under there like Shane was. My legs and feet certainly couldn't contort like his were. Uh uh.
Can't say enough how super-good Molly is documenting this episode, (as she is with all of them) which couldn't have been done better, IMHO. Shane is relentless, and always gets it done no matter what the problem. Fantastic job by all. I never miss an episode of Bells Farming, they're just too good! Cheers.
Love the video. Glad everything worked out for you guys. Everything went back together and working. One thing I love is how farmers are always there to help one another. I can't wait for the next video. ❤
You can't keep good men down. I was a little worried about the trans falling off that floor jack and Shane getting hurt. Time to put it all in the rear view and do what you guys do best. Much admiration!!!!!!
The knowledge people just seem to have always amazes' me. I know it comes from years of experience but in this setting when your watching someone just know what to do. I wish I could wake up and already have it in my brain. Great video. Great people.
You get the knowledge from doing for yourself, My dad taught me to always try to fix it then if it dont work find a friend that knows.Thats why he and I have so many friends most will drop what there doing to help you out and you will them. I'm 61 taught my children to be independent too but when you need help ask for it but give back when you need to, My 25 year old daughter is independent fixes most things around the house or on her car, very proud of her and the boys. ABOVE DONT BE AFRAID TO TRY FIXING IT YOUR SELF OR FIGURING OUT HOW.
Molly and Shane! Another great video! As for Shane’s new scar, what the fun of working on things if you don’t have a memory of the events? I’m glad the new rig worked out for you guys and like Shane said in my last comment, parts are hard to come by so you make do with what ya can! Great job everyone!
Nothing wrong with watching a good antique corn picker repair video! Reminds me when I put a new clutch into my 64 GMC Handivan over Christmas break in Dads garage with only a kerosene heater for warmth. Now can we finally get to see some corn picken or what. Great work Shane, wrenching and vloging. 😊
bells farm busy in the field with the corn but the machine is broken drive or gear and another machine for parts big jack machine is also a solution parts are expensive but this way you are busy driving off the corn. well ripe, the corn on the cob depends on the weather conditions, but we will see that in Molly's next vlog
I drove by your guys farm twice on Monday morning had to go pick up thing for my father down in Yarmouth I honk my horn twice each time I went by but then see anyone around place working you guys must have been picking corn. love the video guys keep up the great work.
Ahh, the 20 minute job. Being a tractor-trailer tech from Lewiston, I know that means you'll be busy all day...lol... You guys are a great couple. Nice to see Shane, the international man of mystery, starring in more videos.....
awsome job you guys and Shane no one can say ya didnt use ya head heheheh and like i said Tim is just unbelivable when it comes to fixing things , love ya work .and here in straya we just about to start planting spuds
I was waiting to see who would eat the 1st ear of corn. Nothing better than fresh raw sweet corn !!!! And Molly sneaking in that kiss on camera !!! Love you guys !
Hi Molly Shane, you two have been very busy what with breakdowns strip out the part that need to be machined and refitted it that worked for a few days and then get a parts Big Jack so back to harvest in the morning it’s got to be done keep the farm running guys a great couple of days 👍
Interesting video. So much similarity to an articulated front end loader. A good parts machine is always handy to have around, the tires themselves are always good to have when you have a flat.. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, that was a big job, but a walk in the park for Shane but I must say I was a little nervous when the boys had that transmission on the jack 😳. Glad it went in OK and no one got hurt it looked heavy to me. Nice job 👏 👍🏻.
That’s the difference between profit and loss. Being able to make your own repairs. Great work. Next project. Reseal the leaking boom cylinder on the Cat loader.
I loved to get my hands on a dozen fresh sweet corn. Here i wont be ready for another month. Lucky on the second machine, hopefully its in good condition and not too expensive. Good luck.
Shane reminds me very much of a northern Scandinavian. Especially a Finn even though he talks a bit too much, he does have the charisma of the stubborn, strong willed silent type!

You and your husband are best couple farmer on utube and hard work couple.thank you for all you do 👌👌👌
Thank you very much!
Well organized modern and advance machine
Love the show, very well done ...my wife had that same mole and she had it removed. .never remove it that'mole it's ❤❤❤beautiful ..thank-you...
Thank you! I have eaten may be dozen ears of sweetcorn this year and not cooked one!!
Lol! Some people freak out uncooked Vegetables!
Hahah it’s so good like that!

Yes, that’s why Tim does the machining haha
Thank you very much!

Hey you! Thank you!😊
🥰
You have a great channel here Molly! It’s pretty cool seeing Shane warm up to the camera. Ha adds a LOT imho. Really enjoy the show! 👍for both of you!
Great video

Reminded me of potato field repairs on our farm in Van Buren, Maine. Work all night to get er done for harvest next day, axles were the big hit,,,,,
Sounds like Tim is a good man! Even hanging around for moral support!
Glad the temp repair lasted and the swap out went as good as it did. You can tell that is an older machine, there’s room to work on it!
Great video! Love the way Molly crawled underneath and helped Shane!
Safety Steve & OSHA approved ..... love it!!
Brilliant.
Molly...was hoping you would have done a model pose of showing the different corn 🌽 picker...kinda like the Price Is Right! 😊
Happy Harvesting
Cool video.
Repairing the corn picker and repairing Shane's head. Sound's like a satisfying day at Bell Farms.
Some of the most fun friends can have together is fixing things yourself. I remember working on cars with my high school buddies, nothing major, just swapping brake shoes, rotating tires or changing oil really made us feel like we knew what we were doing.
Never stops to amaze me how talented good farmers are. The pressure thats on them to put fresh corn in the grocery store.
Shane is amazing! Great work.

No harder worker than a farmer.
Good to see the reality of how hard a farmers job can be.
Hope Shane’s head is okay

I watch Laura farm also thay are both very well done
Also wish well farms in Ohio

Pretty nice though when you cut yourself the check.

There’s always a lot of negative comments online about ‘big ag’. This is small ag at its best. It’s how we roll. 👍
Thank you!
Always enjoy the content of your videos, you always figure a way to fix things.
The milling the part for fresh spline was real deal Farm fix. You two are awesome.
