It looks like an exciting city so far, lots of shopping , The Hola store reminds me of The area of IKEA where you pick stuff up, the lighting and curtain area anyway. The apartment is looking good, I’ve been on the hunt for sheets myself, it’s a pain when you can’t find what you want. You’re lucky you finally found ones you like. I think part of the problem is I want to wallpaper one wall and I can’t find the right paper so I can’t settle on bedding till I find that. I saw one I love in a video of someone I follow in Sweden.......not much chance of finding that in Halifax though.😥 I’m happy the apartment is starting to feel like home, are you starting to get stir crazy yet? You lived an active and social life in Japan, now not working, T being at work all day and you don’t know a lot of people yet, I’d be getting antsy and frustrated. I thought I’d love not having to work, finally having time to do all the things I’d put off until I retired🙄. That lasted about a month and then I was bored out of my mind, missed kids I’d spent 25+ years working with. I ended up working part time and volunteering . I hope you get to meet new people soon so you can get out and have some fun.🙋🏼
Haha no I’m not getting stir crazy just yet bc if I want to go outside, I can!! Ask me in a couple months though haha. & the place I said reminded me of Home Depot was actually not hola, it was another place next to it. Hola was next door and it looks like when you walk around the ikea show rooms! I didn’t film much bc a man named Ivan there helped me look for everything & was SOOOOO kind ♥️

Noted!! The sun doesn’t hit where I have it on the tv stand~ and I put a chopstick deep into the soil so when I pull it out, I can see if the soil is dry or not! At least that’s what a RUclips video told me to do😅👌🏻
Wow in the thumbnail you look so busy haha missed Taiwan ~ btw not sure if you would go to this place [ Yi Pin Beef Noodle, 壹品牛肉麵 ] it's probably not to far away from where you live (it's in the same city) it's not the best looking area but they literly have the best beef noodle soup ever!! my dad went there for years and hes European and he has been using google translate communicating fine with them. long story short they have yummy noodles good for lunch time! hope you can go there~and if you went there but don't feel comfortable there are lots of places like grilled steak house and fancy restaurants nearby. also I love your videos~
I don’t care if a place looks fancy or not, as long as the food is amazing, then I’ll be happy 👌🏻 beef noodle soup sounds amazing !!
Lol! When Jen said "google translate" my phone opened up google translate!
Oopsssss lol
WoW〜我們住在同一個城市,希望哪天可以在巨城或愛買看到你❤️
Who needs japan when they have Jenn 🙏😊 you have made me want to learn more about Taiwan
@@LayersOfJenn how much is the cost of are taxi and what's the transport system like Taiwan 🇹🇼 🖐️🇦🇺 is it up to date
Depends on where you are in Taiwan!! When I was in Taipei, I found the taxis’s very affordable compared to japan !
Taiwaneses with the degree of master even Ph.D would like to work in Hsinchu city even live in Hsinchu because a majority of high-tech jobs here. Top two universities are also here - Hsin hua & Chiao Tung. It's a good place to work even study. Don't miss the good resturant near Zhubei where next to Hsinchu city. If you like the nature, go to Jianshi.
I have heard that there are some famous universities here!!
Hello!
I normally watch everything from my bf account because it's too late and his account has all my preferences etc. and he gets better recommendations for me than my own account lol but it makes commenting confusing so I've logged into my own account to comment.
I love your channel, have been binging all your old Japan vlogs and I'm still not done yet (will be sad when I am though😭). Love the food, clothes and general life. You seem like a nice person :)
Love from London x
Wow thank you for taking the time to watch my old vlogs ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Loving these vlogs!! It’s so fun seeing you explore a new country ✨
I was so excited the first day I navigated the bus along via Instagram lol. It’s the little things that make me happy atm
@@LayersOfJenn ahaha that’s all you can do to get used to it! It’s like being a kid again, scary but exciting ✨
Exactly 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
A new video + freshly cooked dinner + introvert time = best end to the day 😊
yasssss 👌🏻
Make sure you leave your washer door open between use to avoid the musty/mold smell that happens with front loading washers :)
Will do!! I’ve been doing it for the most part but I’ll make sure to leave open 100% of the time now :)
I just started watching your videos recently, before traveling to Taiwan, nice to see that we leave in the same city
Ohhh Hsinchu !? Nice !!
I too am watching Yashahime... Ky only issue is waiting for the next episodes. Inuyasha was like my childhood. I loved it and still do. It combined comedy woth romance, action with isekai. Just perfect!
I'm glad to see that your settling in. You should do a vlog of just what your new home looks like. Like a tour of the guest room, and everything once you're all settled in. That'd be super cool. Anyway, love you sweetie.
I’ll def think about it~
And I’m a sucker for isekai stuff :P
身為新竹人倍感親切,影片封面一眼就認出來是新竹假日花市 ! nice vlog :D
Thank you :)
Hi Jenn! My Mom is from Keelung. I remember visiting my Grandmother's house in Keelung only twice (I'm from SoCal). She was a great cook and I shopped for veggies, fruit (wax apples!) and meat on the street corners with her! Keelung is famous for its night market, I believe. Perhaps you can vlog a night market if safe!
Ohhhhh Keelung you say 📝
I’ve heard of there but haven’t got to there yet!
Loving this part of your life
♥️♥️
love watching you getting settled in your new home. also, love seeing you and T spending some more time together. obviously i know your vlogs are only a small part of your life, but hopefully his work schedule in Taiwan is a little less oppressive than it was in Japan?
Finally I am starting to feel like this place is home :)
Welcome to Hsinchu. Hope you will love this lovely city. :)
