I love the book a lot and so do my kids (7 and almost 5). First we used it as their night time stories until we had read the book through and now we read the chapter that goes along with Come Follow Me each week. I'd love their take, honestly, on each of the 4 main bodies of scripture we study as it's helped me and my kids.

I started using the book to teach our 7 year old primary class and it is a game changer! They are so excited for the story each week and they totally understand the messages! Love!

    This video is great!
Not exactly on topic, but when he mentioned his kids sometimes talking about God too much, it reminded me of how (I'm told) when I was little, the worst insult I could think of was "wicked Lamanite!" And I used it during tantrums 😂😂😂

Start by teaching who the real Jesus is in the Bible. Paul warns in 2 Corinthians 11:4 - there are some who preach a different Jesus. For example, while the Bible teaches that Jesus has always existed as God (John 1:1), Mormons see Jesus as someone who worked His way up to godhood and began as just an intelligence. In fact, to Mormons, Jesus is merely one in purpose with God the Father; whereas the Bible declares that the Father and the Son are also one in essence (cf. Phil. 2:6) - that they are both equally God and members of the Holy Trinity.
Also important, Mormons end up prohibiting prayer to Jesus. Mormons confess that they believe in the existence of many gods but pray only to God the Father. Well, in light of the Bible’s explicit command to pray to Jehovah (cf. Deut. 4:7; 2 Chron. 7:14; Pss. 5:2; 32:6; Jer. 29:7, 12), it’s incredible that Mormons refuse to pray to Jesus while yet acknowledging Him to be Jehovah! In addition, John 14:14 and Romans 10:12 demonstrate beyond the shadow of a doubt that believers ought to pray to Jesus.

@@mikespage0123 I think it’s probably important for you to understand that the concept of the godhead being one essence isn’t in the Bible. It comes from the nicene creed in the 4th century and In other creeds which followed. The creeds are a framework of understanding the Bible which were largely influenced by Greek philosophy. Latter Day Saints do not agree with the creeds nor consider them biblical. So how we interpret scripture is very different.
We also believe that Christ always existed and was coeternal with God. Most of our disagreements stem not from the Bible itself but from the creedal interpretation of the Bible.
You’re perfectly okay to believe as you like but keep in mind that your perception of our beliefs is colored by the creeds. Not by the Bible itself.

@@caitlinwhite237 your Jesus was a mere intelligence matter in the beginning. The Bible clearly says all things were created through Jesus. He is eternal, He is God, He is our Savior and Creator. Your Mormon god and Mormon Jesus are just exalted men, one from a mythical place called Kolob. Mormonism minimizes God/Jesus and exalts man. Clearly wrong.
