    I'm so much more excited for her than I was Tom. I like having less colors and she has a built in win condition.

      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад +1

      Big same. While Tom Bombadil is a 5C commander specifically for sagas, I actually preferred my Go-Shintai deck for 5C sagas or even building a 4C one with Atraxa. But Narci is such a great happy medium that still allows you to do much more with them, since she has built-in card advantage as well as wincon. She's amazing!

      @@TheCommanderTavern I love sagas but haven't gotten around to building a deck ever. I have been toying with original Rona for a while. Now I'm looking at Narci and/or Raff Capashin, Ship Mage (instant speed sagas seem REALLY strong but I don't like combo and I'm not really sure how to win with a control deck otherwise).
      I was thinking enchantment creatures for Narci too, but I didn't even consider that you could reset the DFC cards, so that's a great thing to keep in mind. Thanks for the idea!

    Thoughts on Sister-Spirit's Call? Sac an enchantment (draw a card), get back a flip-saga. The saga exiles itself during chapter 3, so no real downside. Same with Closet and Circle.

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад +1

      Ooh! That's an amazing enchantment; good call! You get all of the triggers and none of the drawbacks!
      The deck's already running Teleportation Circle and Conjurer's Closet.

    The DFC sagas don't sacrifice. See rule 714.4. The cards you mentioned exile themselves as part of their resolution, so they are never "sacrificed."

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад +1

      They still trigger Narci's second trigger because it happens when the last chapter resolves. You don't draw the card but you drain the table, which is what I mention happening.

    Would narci trigger and drain on creatures who flip into sagas like the sheoldred, and elesh norn?

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад +1

      Yes, because she triggers when the final ability of a saga resolves. You just don't draw the card from those DFC sagas because they don't get sacrificed. But she will drain the table if the final ability resolves - regardless of the type of saga.

    • @nicholasfrancois5706

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад +1

      @@nicholasfrancois5706 Exactly ;) That's why I came up with reusing DFC sagas so that I can just blink the creature and get the saga back, instead of just losing the saga or having to depend on graveyard recursion for enchantments - which is much harder to do.

    How about Thassa Deep Dwelling. She counts as an enchantment and is highly resilient, recurring flicker value

    at 18:04, you are showing Plains, Island, and Mountain as basic lands. Not sure if this was intentional.

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  Год назад

      No, that was a mistake. When I edited the video it seems like those 3 images didn't update. Fortunately, since it's a commander deck, it should be fairly obvious that the other 2 sets of basics should be swamps and forests.

      little trick to build budget decks, just buy cheaper lands, lands are often two third of an expensive deck price.
