I found your video of going to a show in the US with the finished product a few months ago, I had no idea the entire rebuild was on RUclips as well. Since I know how it will look finished, I appreciate all of your work bringing a TR250, which did not look that bad on your walk around, back to her full glory( and then some). And I thought I opened a can of worms when I pulled off fenders on my TR6, the rust it has (had) was nothing compared to your 250. I have been lucky, I have had access to several TR6's and have been grabbing spare parts for years. You do some great work.

I really like the sill fitment David. The replacement bits almost never have the same shape and size. I think you got a good plan already started. Go Cat Go!

Well done getting that old sill out Tush. Doors sure are heavy, my Firebird doors even stripped down make me groan when I lift them.

Great work David. Be careful though because the sill needs to be compressed upwards to fit. This is why it appears to hang down too low compared to the floor flange. You have to attach to the top flange on the inner sill and bottoms of pillars etc then using a couple of bottle jacks and a length of 2 x 4 you have to squeeze the sill upwards until the bottom flanges meet then fix them together. This creates the strength and rigidity in the body shell which the sills provide. When I did this on my 6 I used self tapping screws to get it all into place - takes several attempts - then when in the right place weld up with spot welder. So the sill in its uncompressed shape should NOT fit correctly onto the fender bottoms. Hope this helps. Keep the videos coming!

I was going to say that too. (I actually saw it on the Fantatik Builds GT6 rebuild vid.)

You sleep even less than I do. I think we all need some relax, including this guy here, who is always looking for a reason to lay under the car, and pretend he is looking at the bottom of the b-post. He probably took a nap there....

The video rendering is taking longer than expected, maybe another half an hour :(

Elin Yakov We would ether put a rubber snake up his trousers or slowly ease the car down closer to him. Fun! I get 4 hours at night and 4 in the day.

Oh, so that is your secret. I get four at night, but skip the for in the day :(

Woo, hoo! I think it fits very well. The front fender if I remember well had something sticking out on the inside, which wasn't letting it sit flat to the sill. Did you check that?
I don't think the sill needs to move forward. It lines up well with the bottom of the B-post at the back and the two "ridges" that create the pockets for the fenders are right under the edges of the door. So I think you have it in the right position. I am happy and I hope you are too. You sounded a little down at the end, but you are actually doing very well!

Yeah, me too. I have to do the same (and more) on the 74 TR6 and now I pretend that I help Tush, but I actually hang there to steal knowledge and learn from his mistakes LOL Don't tell him.

I think that actually looks good for your initial trial fit. Like you say, door and fender on and off 500 times, tweak something a bit, and each time it looks a little better. Its fun in a strange way, right? Or we are all nuts..
