The speedo does not work. There is a speedo bearing that is unique to the gsxr front end that I don't have installed. It involved removing the front wheel.
I found mine on Craigslist. It was actually Christmas Eve and I just happened to browse the motorcycle parts category and boom, there it was. He just wanted it gone, so I got it for 50 bucks. Check out mad8vcycles.com He always has some that are usually a little thrashed.
Are you talking about the two bolts that are directly below the speedometer or the two sections that bolt in by your knees? The ones by your knees have hangers that mount to frame. The front two bolts have a bracket that is fixed to the front fairing that squares it up under the speedo. Hope that helps.
Unfortunately, I made a big move across the country and ended up selling the bike. The install was very straightforward since I had the fairing stays and the bolts. The LED swap was plug and play, also.
@@TyposGarage Did you install it all as one piece? I have the parts in various pieces and am wondering if its easier to have them all together before mounting it onto the front the bike
I installed the fairing stays on the bike first and then the fairing. The fairing was completely put together before I installed it. I replaced the lights before installing, too.
Unfortunately, I did not make a part 2. I got side tracked and needed to ride it to work as we were down a car. I had an OEM wiring harness that I matched up the connector with and soldered everything up. The process went very smooth, actually. As long as you have the fender stays, the mounting is just bolting it together.
Hey man, where’s the part 2
Did you ever do a part 2? - im at the exact point you were at with this
I got a front fairing similar to yours. Does the fairing turn withthe handlebars or stay still, connected to the frame?
Id put it as full fearings, would look so good
Thanks man! I'm thinking a belly pan next.
Dude how do I get the mirrors off
So many wires lol. Well done video man!
Lol! I know right? What a mess. But I appreciate it man!
I literally have the same exact bike, even with the GSXR fork. How did you get the speedo to work?

Also need the upper fairing for my 2005 Sv650s but can’t find it anywhere, Any suggestions??

Does somebody know where to screw the fairing to the frame at the back the front fairing?

I’d like to find full fairings that fit a gen 3 SV650x.
But I figured I could just buy a GSXR and have two bikes. 😏
Hi, any sign of part 2?

This is my number one reason for hating the new 650's. I LOATHE the round headlight
Man, I do too!
