Why Sri Lanka is a Paradise ?? Simply because you will get everything in very short amount of time. Just few hours rides to Gorgeous Beaches to Cold weather mountainside ,wild life and everything. You won't see any desserts or volcanoes simply because its a paradise😍
In this mountain range, I heard there are several European Buddhist ascetics practicing meditation in caves! If you had gone to visit one of them, you would have been marveled and perhaps your world view would have been changed! These monks, I heard are very educated people and have seen the impermanent nature of the things! I propose you to see the possibility to meditate in a centre for at least several days. You may be surprised to know that words ‘meditation’ and ‘medicine’ are from the same language root! It means meditation is also a therapy!
Excited to see your vlog always.Every video is a hard work of you. Great job 👍. God be with you and your GF. Really from the bottom of my heart, I feel that I missed alot "the beautiful mother nature of Srilanka" 😢😭
Hi Johnny, I think I have watched 95% of your videos, I noticed that you do not pay much attention to video quality nowadays. I understand you might be loaded with work and can't find time to do editing and all, at least try to change the camera. By the way, Big thanks for the support you are giving to Sri Lankan Tourism Industry.....
Hey Johnny, What a beautiful landscape, perfectly captured on camera. Had to watch it on a large screen to fully appreciate it. I am guessing that the most dangerous part of the hike was the cowpat "landmines". Nice one.
I am glad that you finally met a guy who can explain things well. Missed seeing Miss Ukraine (& you too) petting that lovely mongrel. Rounding the trip up with an almost traditional lunch.
Nice video as always! You should visit Adam's peak (Sri Pada). I've hiked it 15 times and it's my favourite thing to do when I'm in Sri Lanka. The Misty views at sunrise and just the history and culture surrounding the place. Wonderful.
I am Sri Lankan . but never visited this place yet. shame shame ..thanks for discovering and showing to the world what are the hidden places to visit in Sri Lanka..
Johnny next time you're by a precipice with fierce winds blowing all around you, maybe, just maybe it's not the best idea to drape a sail around your body(Sarong). Glad you are safe bud.
You're doing a great job Johnny showing the whole world the unexplored country side & the magical greenery thanks to your guide too. I still haven't seen the small fish that you find in local streams with a small white dot one will find hundreds of them ( thihaya ) the cows sometime back villagers used them as caravans to transport their vegetables & the stock back & forth. If you have time & drive along Kandy through Victoria & Randenigala you may see a caravan. Another scenic drive. Watching in 🇨🇦🍁 stay safe.
Wow.... Johnny....😃 it was such an amazing video ..... ever....🤝 wow... what a beautiful nature.... and 😂 I guess you guys had a full meal.... after the hiking.... Lol 😋 excellent job... keep enjoying srilanka... 👍
Jony. I never seen like this Nacher village in Sri Lanka. I’m Srilankan. How nice this Beautiful place. Waterfalls 100% AEON I hope to visit there go back to the mother land soon tc. Kristina n Jony have a Good time
wasantha, wije aththa , Manigala, hapoy, any way credits should goes to Paradise Holidays(specially Mr. Samitha) for introducing this region to the tourism long time ago with French tourist. remember this place is very famous with French tourist since long time.
Leeches? Yep, I had one on the back of my knee. I didn't know until I got back to the hotel, a few hours later and had a shower... blood everywhere, wouldn't stop bleeding, size of a large slug.
Never had been attacked by a leech. I've been sprayed by a skunk, bitten by a bat, bitten by a tick and dog...but love dogs. Stung by many things. So I guess I'll have to try to add leeches to my list...🤣
I've. heard they are going to try opening with a group of Russians as a test pilot soon to see how it goes. But I have no idea when it'll actually open again.
If you are traveling in Sri Lanka, you must visit Knuckles. Also, if you want to see waterfalls to climb mountains, you must visit Knuckles Duwili Falls, Dumbara Falls, Geradigala Mountain, Knuckles Five Peak.
Johnny, Knuckles forest reserve has so many peaks and you can access from different sides. But to access the famous Knuckles 👊 range (5 peaks) you need to go from Huluganga- Panvila- Gomara route
Out of all the beautiful places in Sri Lanka ,this has always been my favorite , specially if you have a motor bike , you will never get tired of driving around this area ... Matale !!!
You might enjoy the "Manigala" hike and a bath from the "Wadda Pani Ela" stream if you are still in Reverston area. They are both free as well I guess.
Gald that you could visit Knuckles MR. The sigiriya like large mountain you saw is Manigala and is a part of Knuckles range. Knuckles forest reserve spreads around a very large area and there are 30+ mountain peaks and 100s of hiking trails. Knuckles forest reserve can be entered from many areas including via Matale (where you went), via Kandy through Wattegama, via Theldeniya and also via Hunnasgiriya. Local travel enthusiasts like us usually travel to these remote place. But only a handfull of other travels or tourists visit them. Best time to visit is between January-April (dry season). 💚
Johnny, How much was the van and 4 guides if the package was not sponsored? Most of us, the Covid stranded tourists have given up the Knuckles because of the high cost and limited accommodation options.
The entrance price to Knuckles was really cheap, like $7 a person and there were a lot of local guest houses and home stays for around 2,000-3,000lkr a night nearby, like where we had lunch. You don't need a guide for the trail we did "mini world's end." Just rent a scooter or hire a tuk-tuk to take you there.
Looks like a nice hike! It would be nice if you could hold the leeches! :) But the beauty of the nature is very inviting as we love hiking. Love those terraced fields, we experienced in Indonesia. Very inspirational one of your best hiking videos! The last part reminded me of Kauai, where we were last year, this time! Keep us educated and you are doing a great job! (After about 6 months, we went on a backpacking trip to Lassen National Park (Area with least Covid infections) Did about 20 miles (About 32Km) and elevation gain of 2900' (880m) in three days. Saw some bears Most of the Covid and other stress was washed away. I was able to sleep for 8 hours after a very long time.)
You may know the word serendipity comes from Serendib which is one of the names of Sri Lanka! It is like destiny, you meet unexpected marvels in Sri Lanka! That is serendipity!
I miss it too. But I had a few close calls with crazy buses almost running me off the side of the road. It's just too dangerous to drive in Sri Lanka. =(
First place you guys were hopped on was Rewestern - Pitawala Pathans and the second place even I couldn't make. Hope to be there soon. Your videos are very nice and liked even before watch it ☺️
Dude u exploring sri lanka more than any lankan did. Awesome keep it up🤩

hahaha very true......
Lucky people. I love visiting that kinda wet biomes. Will be there after the pandemic.
It's really different than arid or desert like hiking trails that Europe and the US has.
@@JohnnyFD Whoa..! Then it will be actually an unforgettable experience.
These places are filled with endemic plant and animal species which needed to be protected.. So Evan the locals should never litter..
Thanks..
Thanks..

It is very surprising how Sri Lanka got every thing essential packed in to its small size. It is a paradise.
Glad that you both went up to my home town Matale. 😉👍🏻 We use to camp in Riverston in the early 90’s.
Need to get drone cameras soon...mr jony..

incredible ..therapy to the eyes......thank you..
Lmao, title should be “playing cow dung hopscotch” in Sri Lanka!
Don't worry. Cow dung is not hazardous. People used it even to finish the floor of their houses in the past.
todate ultra rural clay houses uses cow dung to finish their floors im sure. it is used to cool the interior of their houses.
@@realisticgaminglk7975 especially organic ,nature fed cows. Their dung is pretty harmless
