To dispense with all the BS by asking him if there was *ever* a time Light told a simple truth. For Light to take the mask off for *one minute* ,if for nothing else, out of respect for a worthy opponent. And Light, being a pathetic excuse for a human being, answers by reframing the question. Dodging and manipulating even when he knew that this would be the last time he could talk to the only person who was his equal.
