    Great plays.

In a tournament setting, snagging the mask's overlay the way you did at 0:07 would be scored as a (head) hit, or it would be seen as a miss? I guess you counted it here.

If you slow it down further (its 60 fps, you can do halfspeed) you will see the blade actually connects with the mesh about 10 cm from the top and slides upwards. Sharp tips don't slide. But yes, this would be counted in pretty much every HEMA tournament regardless of that little detail.

@@borislavkrustev8906 Ok, now I barely see it. Reminds me of the advice Robert Childs was giving in a video: use rubber tips on rapiers not because of safety concerns, but because they stick and bend the blade, so as a result it's easier for judges in tournaments to see what happened compared to a glancing blow.

@@FiliiMartis With longswords using rubber tips could be dangerous - you are holding the sword in 2 hands and there are situations where it might not flex and lead to serious injury. Otherwise his advice absolutely tracks for rapier.

@@borislavkrustev8906 Yes, I'm understanding that this might be an issue, especially with how energy is transferred to the head, even when it flexes (i.e. contusions). And I for one, tend to forget how much difference there is in the power of a fast moving (because of 2h control) steel feder with a 101cm blade (so weight is there as well) compared to a typical side-sword cut from the wrist (for example). Like me, there are probably others that have the same problem.
Actually, a cartoon chart showing the power of moves from different weapons in units of crushed cans of Coke (something relatable to our brains) would help people visualise more the difference. A request for someone doing a sport science degree (maybe with a focus in HEMA).
