You can get both the fossils in Emerald after beating the game and going to the town next to the soot route where in a house there is a ruin maniac who mined a cave and discovered the fossil you didn't pick up
Same spot you can get ditto too.
I'm going to sound like a dick but I'm glad you actually failed this challenge because most youtubers make challenge videos like this and they always succeed. These pokemon challenge videos were getting kinda boring tbh but with this one I actually didn't expect you to not succeed.

Second of all, it's some massive blindfold goggles you wear to insinuate that everyone only posts their victories when that's not only not the case(I've seen plenty of failed attempts), but many of these "only success" videos show that it is possible where people may have previously thought it wasn't.
Being annoyed or mad that other people succeed in a video game that is a weird hill to die on, but go ahead and keep hate-watching I guess. It's your life

If you’re in an area with slower encounters the move sweet scent can be used outside of battle to get an encounter right away!
Does sweet scent work underwater?

18:30 Not true! The other fossil is acquired post game at the end of the tunnel where you get ditto. Although now that I type this out, you probably figured that out, needing to get ditto and all.

also, i believe you can't be left with no pokemon, or else you have to fistfight the next pokemon that appears on the grass

Consider using Sweet Scent underwater to ignore the low encounter rate!
Well, the encounter rate for the Pokémon doesn’t change, it just increases the total amount of encounters. You’ll get to them faster though. But it doesn’t ignore the low encounter percent.

I think the trading starters was a solid time saver, I wonder how much time would have been saved if you were able to play through the other two games earlier? 🤔 I know trading is a time sink but what if you were able to get the trade evos fairly easily in the other games, only needing to level up the first and second stage, saving a few minutes here and there?
I also think Sapphire has a slightly easier time to get through the game since you can utilize Kyogre for the Elite 4, so there might be some better luck there.

I'm blind. The first time I've heard braille was being used in the game, I laughed so hard. Like how do you expect a sighted to know braille, when ther eis no internet access or anything, it would have been a total trauma.
@omerylmaz958 i have some vague memory of finding a table of braille letters and what they translate to in the little instruction booklet that came with the game

so a few things, it wouldve been optimal to trade the starter over immediately
you can also get the other fossil in emeralds post game
it was also a pretty big mistake to not run through the games with those high level requirement pokemon
sticky hold makes all fishing encounters go faster due to its overworld ability so picking up grimer or gulpin early wouldve assisted in all fish
you came very close just a few optimisations and it wouldve been curtains for this challenge
not to mention choosing brandon over may , which means more dialogue to mash through , a small thing but it adds up

Why not start with Ruby and Sapphire? Every pokemon in the hoenn dex is in those two. Starting in emerald seems like a huge time loss.
