曾有次在節目中聽他提過，在他剛出道時發行第一張專輯沒成名，後來第二張專輯這首痴心絕對也因為唱片公司緣故沒有紅，但隔一年突然在兩岸紅了起來。也因為這首歌讓他初嘗到紅的滋味，更奠定日後發專輯張張熱賣的輝煌基礎。
這首歌在當時連他自己都不知道在各個現場唱過多少次了，但只要歌迷想聽他唱這首，他都會願意再唱給大家聽。因為是有了這首歌，才有現在的李聖傑!!!
他第一張沒有讓他成名的專輯名是冷咖啡，癡心絕對這首歌也在專輯賣到一半的時候因為唱片公司倒閉而沒有繼續賣，不過後來這首紅了
