There is also a time ruler in Ableton where the measure length adjusts based on the tempo automatically and can be used for quick reference.

For sure! wanted to keep it applicable to all daws though for a general reference.

It probably would have been a good idea to at least mention it in the video.

Do you have a video on calculating time for sidechaining? I always find it tricky to get sidechain sounding right

Set the 1/16 amount on the chart as your sidechain release, done :)

Just use 60,000 divided by the BPM of ur track to get the time for one bar nd work from there :')

I tend to fix this issue when i bounce everything to audio to put into a stem project. I actually manually cut all my reverb tails so that they don't overlap things. Do you find this to be a good method as well?

works the same way, you just dont get the natural fade of the reverb.

It's called freezing the midi clip to audio in ableton. Not sure in other daws.

Love it man. Normally iv never worried about this much cuz I'm such a reverb and delay fanatic. I just would cut out the tails and shit in post production . There's a cool ksmhr tutorial where he shows these cool reverb tricks to prevent exactly what your mentioning

Jeez, get to the point, man - already 4.40 in and no formula?
Nope, too wordy and too many unnecessary visuals, and you lost me, dude. This process can easily be explained in around 3-4 minutes.
