Holy hell, I needed to apply a superman grip to get this thing turning. Mine came turned all the way OUT. Righty tighty got it moving, didn't get clear til almost all the way turned in.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I'm still having issues with the diopter on my SLX 3x FS Magnifier. I can't get the diopter to adjust to the prism slx 1x that I have with it.
For me, the only way that it seems clear is to have the diopter all the way in and then sort of creates a negative magnification effect. So then I have to back it out until they seem even in spite of it being somewhat blurred
Yes, that's what was happening to me. I had to turn the diopter almost all the way to the left for the reticle to be in focus but the image was showing up less than 1x at that point. I haven't had this issue with the 3x or 5x I own. Only the 1x. Primary arms is great though and they let me use a credit to use what works for me. Maybe it's just me but the image was clearly smaller in the glass than real world when I had the reticle focused with the diopter.
Mine was super tight & I had to use both hands to get it to budge. Played with it just to find out it was best where it started all the way in 😂 Great optic though. Absolutely loving it so far! Does anyone use a 36yd zero with this? I’ve only been able to go to a range that maxes out at 100. Curious how the cyclops reticle BDC works with that zero out to 500yds with a 16” 5.56.
I had no problem setting the optic itself but the matching 3x magnifier will not allow me to see the reticle clearly. The diopter on the magnifier doesn’t feel like it has an end stop. What may cause this?
I’m having this problem as well. Is there an optimum distance between the prism and the 3x magnifier? I’m using a picatinny rail and both are the same height.
The diopter on mine is stuck in place out of the box and it feels like I’ll need a freaking wrench to get it to move… why do you guys have to make it so tight? And can you give me any recommendations on how to actually move it?
I have this issue, problem is when I get it so I am seeing true 1x the reticle is blurry. When I get it clear it makes objects look quite a bit smaller. Inside of 50 yards it’s no problem, beyond that it gets very problematic. Anything else I can try?
I ware bifocals and I am having a hard time adjusting the diopter. My issue is that not all the mounting hardware was in the box, and the scope sits to low. Waiting for the missing parts from primary arms. Personally I worried since my son got it for my birthday in May, but I am out of the country for 6 months every year, just arrive 3 days ago. If is not going to work I don’t know what to do with it. The problem is I like it, and always wanted one. Wish me luck!
Sure. Dial to one end till it bottoms out not using force and then go to the other end counting revolutions by maybe adding a piece of tape. Turn half of the max travel and you end up at the middle of for example +/-2. Op you use colour codes on the dial so everyone can quickly find their setting again.
Hi, I have one question because you didn't touch this. I should check sharpness of the reticle against blank with one eye or both eyes open? And the same question with confirmation on some target like you said
you are attempting to cover up for an extremely poor design no other magnified optic I've used and i've used tons, is as big of a hassle to get right. you have AT LEAST 10 TIMES more thread on the diopter than needed, probably TWENTY. What was PA thinking?
Took my AR-15 with this optic to a range, target at 22 feet, shots were placed lower and to the right of the target. No matter how I tried to adjust, results were always the same. Very dissapointed. Will be buying iron sights and discarding this thing
A video that needs to be seen by all.
Actually, the manual for my 1X Cyclops prism is more than a little vague regarding the diopter. This video helps a lot.
Outstanding video. Thanks for letting everyone know that at first it’s fairly tough to back off.
Literally just bought this optic and was wondering how to make this adjustment!!!
Holy hell, I needed to apply a superman grip to get this thing turning. Mine came turned all the way OUT. Righty tighty got it moving, didn't get clear til almost all the way turned in.
The diopter may be a little tight especially if it hasn't been moved. We prefer it to be tight so the ring doesn't move under recoil or movement.
Thanks. I needed the explanation. Manual didn't do it for me.
Very helpful, good explanation.
Thank you, we appreciate it!
First company to put a diopter on a handgun optic gets all my money. 🤑💰
How about a hand gun prism’ then they get everyone with an astigmatisms money.
@@TacticalBuffoonary Yeah that's pretty much what I mean. Hell, that PA microprism could fit on a Desert Eagle.
Big help. Thanks!
Excellent information 😉👊👍🇺🇸
Thank you!
Fantastic info, thank you very much Steve!
Good info, thanks
Thank you!!! We are going to be doing a new video on diopter adjustment and scope setup soon!!
Thanks for the info.

Same I’ve been trying to move this diopter and I can’t get it move

do a video on tips on adjustment using the micro magnifier with the micro prism
set the micro prism first and then begin adjusting the magnifier to align with the adjusted prism
Great suggestion! We will get that up asap.

It does have a stop on it, it is jut pretty far out on the magnifier.

I literally called PA about this today. I does make the objects smaller. WTH?
👍

I set mine w electrical tape👍
With both eyes open, right?
Set it for your dominant eye when adjusting the diopter.
Mine doesn't turn? Is it defective
Just got one. Pulled it out of the box. Literally can’t turn the diopter in either direction. And man I’ve tried.
Same here!!
@@bradlysutton7793 i ended up using a cloth and pliers to back it out a little then it got much easier.
Is there a way to set the diopter to +/- 0? I want it to be like an ACOG where it isn't set for me but anyone can use it in my family.

On the blank background you can use one or two eyes. I like to confirm with both eyes open on the target.
I don't get what I'm doing wrong it's just blurry no matter what
Try the magnifier in front of the optic. Had the same problem and that actually fixed the issue

Any chance you still have it? I'll pay for shipping if you're willing to drop it at a UPS store or otherwise throw it in the mail.
Mine is so tight i cannot turn it. It wont budge at all on my PA Slx 1x microprism gen2
They can be a little stiff at first but once you move it, it becomes much easier.
