Without even seeing whatever you did wrong prior, I’m halfway through this apology and can already tell you should’ve had someone proofread this 😅 you don’t seem sincerely apologetic for anything, you defend yourself at almost every turn instead of simply owning up and leaving it at that. Just because these characters are fictional doesn’t mean that consuming NSFW content of them does not have real world implications. You said that you don’t actively seek this content but if you read something that has that content in it you don’t mind. Despite them being fictional, you cannot sit here and say that these characters aren’t based on CHILDREN, the idea of children. Anybody with common sense understands that consuming pedo shipping content has negative implications, and the fact that you’re trying to separate fiction from reality despite knowing the influences, is extremely harmful and disgusting.

I 100% thing there is no problem with content (even nsfw non-con) contacting r4pe if it is animated/fictional I.E fanfic, works of fiction, manga, etc. They are not an issue. it's a dark theme, sure, but fiction is meant to explore dark themes and non-con nsfw content, even not animated but made by adult actors also yes, has a place it should be able to exist without being judged because there are a million reasons why someone might want to engage in that type of content, and you have no way of knowing why, whether its just a k1nk or if they are using it to cope with their trauma, you don't know, so you shouldn't judge and that why I don't. p3dophelic porn, if it is of real children, i.e it isn't fictional in anyway way. is bad. nobody and especially me had ever said otherwise, however, BL manga set in high school, fanfiction of fictional characters who are minors having intimate relationships with other minors is not child porn, its not pedophelic content. It's fictional. Nobody is harmed and once again, its a dark theme. Fiction is where these things can be explored safely and for a million different reasons. I have had multiple CSA survivors in my comments say that their therapist ecourganes they to read the dark themes in fanfic they have found themself drawn to because it helps them see their traume from an outside perspective and process it in a way that their mind can handle. that's just one example however. so yes, fiction doesn't equally reality and fictional kids in dark themes are 1000000000000000X better then real kids being put in the same scenarios every. single. time, why? because they aren't real. nobdy is actually getting hurt.

Why do the characters have to be underaged, tho? Why is that what's important here? Would you be any less interested in stories that don't have children in it? Because i see this worse than "Loli's," at least with those, the character isn't actually underaged. It's still absolutely disgusting. However, when the characters are legitimately underaged, it's still considered wrong even when fictional. As an artist, I know I can draw Ghost or Captain Price from Call of Duty butt naked clapping cheeks. If i see the same thing remotely close, like two characters on the cover of the book cuddling, kissing etc. for an underaged character, eg. Any child character in a tv show, animated movie, or video game, it's still considered wrong. Especially after looking at some of the covers of the "yagoi?" it isn't all just "romantic teen stories" because the covers I've seen for some actively show some wildly inappropriate stuff. It doesn't matter if it's fiction or not. Weird is weird, and if the majority of people agree that it's weird.... it's.... probably.... weird....

In this case the characters don’t look underage, in ybc the characters are underage bc high school/prep school has a lot of tropes (sports day, class president, social clubs, ect) and is a popular setting for romance manga. If I showed you pictures of all the characters in ybc I don’t think you could point out which ones are adults and which are students, it’s not the same as loli at all…
please dont compare drawings of fictional characters to actual csem and child abuse. its incredibly insulting to us survivors and not the same thing at all.

@@SammieSpeaks Personally, I watched PLT and euphoria when I was a teenager and never watched the hunger games or gossip girl. But regardless of that there is a big difference. these shows are pretty censored compared to the fan fiction being made about these “kids” (considering their fictional). Personally, I was a fan of PLL but the relationship between Aria and Fitzgerald was disgusting and overly romanticized for me even when I was a teenager watching it. I’m not defending those shows so it’s pretty irrelevant to bring it up and compare it to these fan fictions which are OBVIOUSLY different. The issue with these fan fictions is that people are literally fantasizing about kids getting together, writing it, publishing it and then consuming it ? It’s weird. Also let’s not forget that at the end of the day the characters in those shows you mentioned are adults (except some of pll but again not defending these shows) and even tho these characters you read about are fictional it doesn’t take away from the fact that they look and act like a kid.

These haters have gone as far as to reach out to every sponsorship I have taken and said whatever they needed to to get brands to pull out of working with me. I do think it’s important to separate the core idea of pro-shipping and letting people explore fiction freely, from the way some people misuse it to defend genuinely harmful content. there are two reason I don't turn of comments, one: it feels like they are the ones who come out on top if I do that. If I turn off comments, I'm also restricting nice comments meaning the bad comments outweighed the importance of nice comments. and two: It would greatly effect my content being pushed out by the algorithm. comments push a video out. we all know this. it doesn't matter if they are positive or negative. My videos are seen by 1000 more people that love my content and follow me because of the hate comments making my video more successful. as much as I hate the hate, it has helped me grow as a creator as sad as that is.

Why do the characters have to be underaged, tho? Why is that what's important here? Would you be any less interested in stories that don't have children in it? Because i see this worse than "Loli's," at least with those, the character isn't actually underaged. It's still absolutely disgusting. However, when the characters are legitimately underaged, it's still considered wrong even when fictional. As an artist, I know I can draw Ghost or Captain Price from Call of Duty butt naked clapping cheeks. But regardless of that there is a big difference. these shows are pretty censored compared to the fan fiction being made about these “kids” (considering their fictional). Personally, I was a fan of PLL but the relationship between Aria and Fitzgerald was disgusting and overly romanticized for me even when I was a teenager watching it. I’m not defending those shows so it’s pretty irrelevant to bring it up and compare it to these fan fictions which are OBVIOUSLY different. Saying « I don’t think we should censor ships just because you think they’re weird » is coming off as purposely dodging the topic, because people aren’t angry about « weird » ships, they’re angry about pedophillic ones.

I think I was trying to keep the explanation broad and ended up glossing over one of the biggest concerns people have about pro-shipping. You’re absolutely right that a lot of the pushback isn’t about “weird” ships but specifically about harmful ones like underage dynamics, and that’s a huge part of the conversation.
I do think it’s important to separate the core idea of pro-shipping and letting people explore fiction freely, from the way some people misuse it to defend genuinely harmful content. there are two reason I don't turn of comments, one: it feels like they are the ones who come out on top if I do that. If I turn off comments, I'm also restricting nice comments meaning the bad comments outweighed the importance of nice comments. and two: It would greatly effect my content being pushed out by the algorithm. comments push a video out. we all know this. it doesn't matter if they are positive or negative. My videos are seen by 1000 more people that love my content and follow me because of the hate comments making my video more successful. as much as I hate the hate, it has helped me grow as a creator as sad as that is.
